Refs played a hard fought game but Carolina held on till the end. Oh...and the preds were there too

that is such a good goal I dont even know. now the argument you could make was did he kick it in. and it does look like he has a kicking motion but that was not the call and to me I think that's a good goal
@@chuckg3517 All three Predator's players entered the crease on their own accord, and the only player who prevented Saros from moving to the left to play the puck was Josi. These NHL officials should be drug tested before each game.

@@kohl4life 4:50 clearly shows the puck deflecting off the Predator Johansen's right skate. He kicked his foot out between Staal's legs and deflected it in. Staal did make a kicking motion but the puck was already well passed his foot when he did.
I don't know who wins this game/series but north cackalaka vs Tennessee is a beautiful thing from a Canadian .

@@markiv2942 if Saros was moving forward it would’ve been out of his crease genius...look, I’d the shot happened when Foegel barely had one skate in the crease then fine, but that isn’t what happened, the shot came after he was well clear of the crease and Saros had time to get set but he couldn’t because of Josi.

They're up 3-2 in the series against the Preds. That's not exactly flying high considering the gap between the two teams during the regular season.

Love this Canes team! What a comeback. But, the NHL has a serious referee problem.
Here is my analysis of the Goalie Interference that no one is asking for:
At 4:42 you can see Foegele's skate in the crease. At 4:44 the shot is released and his foot is out of the crease. I will note that his foot did not impede Saros. Saros elected to look to Slavin's direction of travel and thus leaned passed Foegele to gain sight of the puck. He made this election without any assistance or hindrance. Also at 4:44 Josi cross checks Foegele which may have assisted him leaving the crease. Foegele had been trapped in by Nashville #45. Essentially Foegele was stuck between Josi's cross check and the physical presence of #45 who was trying to clear Fast from the front of the net. The shot is enroute. The puck hits Staal's skate (pushing it back from force of shot and he recovers his balance by placing his skate back on the ice) and is NOT a kicking motion. Since Josi is attempting to clear Foegele, he impedes Saros' ability to come back to his left and the two collide. The call on the ice was a good goal.
To overturn the call on the ice, there would have to be insurmountable evidence to the contrary. At best the two player's jerseys gently caressed one another prior to Josi's crease clear attempt (aka Incidental Contact). The goalie's crease did have a skate, but did not infringe upon Saros' ability to make a reasonable attempt at a save. Josi's presence did. Is it that because Foegele was present that Josi needed to be in position and that is why they called what they called? That's a dangerous precedent if that was the case. It isn't. What we have here is a VERY loose interpretation of incidental contact. A definition that is not contained in the spirit of the rule.
The call on the ice should have been sustained and a two minute delay of game been assessed to Nashville.
Of course we have the benefit of shrugging this off and saying no big deal, but this could very easily happen again to any team. Imagine the ire if the score had not changed. The Canes are not allowed to have fun. We get your message NHL. We have seen it in three of these 5 games now and in a fine for tripping. (Where is Forseberg's fine for tripping last night? He got caught napping in the neutral zone and tried to go knee to knee with a deliberate kick out)
This was better than therapy. Go Canes!

How was Carolinas 2nd goal, goalie interference?! That bogus decision nearly cost Carolina the game. Horrendous call. Made up for it with Necas beauty of a goal but we can't have terrible calls like that hampering the game.

We were playing against the Predators and the refs this game. That goal should NOT have been overturned, and there wes tons of terrible officiating. we still got the win. Let’s Go Canes!
Player was on the crease pushing Saros and Josi had to physically remove him from the front of the goalkeeper which caused Saros not be able to be in proper goaltending position. That's against the rules. So the call was Right.

@@kingoftrolls19 It was. At the start of the sequence Canes player was on the crease with his skates impending Saros, then Josi started pushing him. It's the same sequence (doesn't matter whether it happens just when he's doing the save) so it was right call. It doesn't matter but you still moan about refs since you don't know the rules? Great.

Nashville's own player interferes with the goalie. Last time I checked, that didn't qualify as goalie interference.

All of us Preds fans would've been the same way for that call, but then again, we've all been mad before over such calls (2017 SCF in mind). However, as far as goalie interference, I've seen worse either count or lovetaps be overturned...the consistent inconsistency of officiating is maddening at times. That being said...you guys were giftwrapped a powerplay goal before that. Preds played well 5v5 considering the home ice advantage in matchups for the Canes. Of course, if the Preds had even a mediocre powerplay, things may be different. I'd wager our Preds will either go down fighting in Game 6 or force a Game 7 to get blown out like the SJ series in 2016 or WPG in 2018. If not, then I dunno what's going on anymore. See you guys at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday.

Game 1 and 4 have been the only games where the refs didn’t try to screw us. And game 4 it was only bc the refs were calling bs on both sides.
In game 4 it seemed that they swallowed their whistles for the most part. Which I can respect.

Canes fans expected a 4-0 series sweep cuz looking at the regular season record they prefered to ignore that those first six games in which the Canes went 6-0 were before the Preds turned their season around in the middle of March. Now as the series turned out much closer than they were expecting they follow the lead of their head coach by putting it all on the refs instead of giving respect to team that's been giving them a real fight. I thought the Canes fans were classier than that.
@@danilolapierre5610 well, let’s see. You have two games in a row with blatant one side officiating in game 2 and game 3, and then you have this game where they disallow a Canes goal for complete bs, and allow the Pred’s first goal which shouldn’t have counted due to a high stick deflection.

Goals will only be disallowed if an attacking player, either by his positioning or by making contact with the goalie, interferes with the goalie's ability to freely move in the crease/defend the goal, or a player initiates deliberate contact with the goaltender, within in the crease or out of it.
Their reasoning for calling for a review was that the canes were pushing the preds in to Saros thus inhibiting free movement.

The goal was robbed from number 22 Pesce. Staal fanned on the tip and also fanned on the shot and Josi put it in his own net. Its easy to see at 0.25 speed. Please award the goal properly. Staal did NOT score that.
