Brad Clyde along with the “Brick With Eyes” the two best forwards I’ve seen play the game
Best lock forward ever.
Ran like a centre, hands of a 5/8 and tackled like prop. Best forward in the last 30 years 👊
Sam Burgess is the greatest running forward the game has seen. He would of eaten that Raiders pack for breakfast. Lazarus and all. All the juice in the world couldn't save the Green 'machine'.
@@nswpublicservantlol that is the most souths comment I have ever heard. Neck up you parrot you have no idea
@@nswpublicservant😂
@@nswpublicservant laughable that
Clyde was the new modern day lock back in the day hence my love for the Raiders since 88
He was a beast , never half hearted any action on the field and his commitment to everything he did on the field for the whole game. Bradley was my favourite even when I was maroons supporter. He wasn’t grubby or arrogant, he was pure class
On of the best forwards I've ever seen. Get him on more please....speaks well too.
the amount of footy genius on that one table wow
clyde absolute legend part of that great raiders side. he was the modern prototype ahead of his time. fittest forward ive ever seen.
Superstar player who was also an effort player and absolute ornament to the game. Immortal in waiting along with Glen Lazarus.
the whole immortal system is scuffed
Yer we are loosing why an immortal was originaly designated for. Clyde was a aswome great player but not an immortal. With all respect i say that.
The 1989 GF I remember as a kid when the full time siren Rang I began to Cry and cry until my grandfather gave me 60cents to buy a bag of mix lollies from our local corner store.. All was good.
What a time it was to be a kid and probably watched some of the best league matches in the late 80's early 90's..
Brad Clyde is a absolute😎👍 legend ❤
Clyde - winning a Clive Churchill medal as a forward at the age of 19 - impressive!
Great player but his second one was a travesty, Royce Simmons thoroughly deserved the award with an outstanding display that pretty much won the game for Penrith
@@jaycee571 keep crying bro
@@JMMM1986 the overwhelming majority of league fans who watched that grand final are of the same opinion, you are only advertising your lack of knowledge on all things rugby league otherwise you would not have commented
@@jaycee571 Thats interesting that you think speak on behalf of the majority of Rugby league fans. You are only advertising your arrogance and lack of self awareness.
@JMMM1986 I agree with him. Clyde is the greatest forward of all time imo, but Roycie Simmons or Brandy should of won the Clive in that final.
Clyde was an absolute beast. I always looked forward to him playing.
Legend player, legend bloke. I used to make coffee for him in Crow's Nest. No doubt the best lock forward of his generation. An absolute gentleman too. Wish he will still playing for the Blues!
Favourite NRL and Raiders player ever, he still looks like he could run out and show up.
Bradley was a true statesman and great representative for the game the club the state and his family.
Thanks for the memories Clydie.
From PNG thanks for bringing Bradly Clide in to your. Reminds me of 90s exciting games. I smiling remembering Cabnerra Rsiders team of the 90s. Enjoyed it.
what a gentleman of a person and loved watching him play he was the best of his time
The most intelligent Lock Forward in the late 80s and most of the 90s. He worked hard as a forward by getting those tough yards but sometimes when he ran with a purpose he absolutely saw a positive play about to happen and boy he was right 99% of the time..check out his highlights
Brad Clyde was so naturally gifted as a footballer, similar to Sir Michael Jones in NZ rugby . Clyde had a big running stride for a forward that covered a lot of ground on a footy field
From PNG Clyde was the player that made me a fan of the Raiders since then until now. You're the Best ever Lock player then and now. Go the Raiders 😂😂
Speaks well for an old rugby league player. Fairly articulate.
Clyde needs to be employed by the nrl. what a waste of knowledge and talent!
Absolutely!
19 year old Bradley Clyde the teen sensation
Champion fella.
Absolutely champion. Imo best no 13 I have ever seen play the modern game. Looking at life after footy he’s definitely got a good brain to go from playing football to the corporate world. Good on him!
I'm big Raiders fan Bradley Clyde was my favourite all time player one of the best lock ever
My favourite player growing up. Big workload, great instigator of second phase play, great cover defender. The perfect lock.
He took what Wayne Pearce was doing a couple of years earlier to another level.
What a legend of the game! He always reminded me a lot of Bob Linder
Bob and Brad will always be my favourite back-rowers 🏉🔥
@@henrythompson5224 100%
For you young fellas…this guy was a great player. Won 2 Churchill medals, one on the losing team. Hard, skilful, big motor, and was lucky to play in a team of stars…we went to the same school!
Clyde was one of my heroes. His legendary cover defence and isr or second hit ups straight after etched in my memory
Brad was my fav back in the day. He had an engine on him and was always back ready to do hit up after the kick return. His fitness/stamina was unbelievable.
I idolized him as a champion lock player , that's why I followed raiders coz of Brad Clyde my favorite player
Big strong man love it how he praises his old Team mates never all about himself
Bradley Clyde was an absolute legend on the field. And an awesome person to know had the pleasure of working In the same place as him In Canberra. At the Canberra building society.
When rugby league players were people to look up to.
This guy is a credit to the sport and himself/his family, so good yet so balanced and genuinely grateful, pretty much what’s missing in elite sports these days ❤️❤️❤️👊🏻
I've only been watching league since 1985, and he's the best number 13 I've seen.
The 94 Canberra Raiders team was one of the greatest rugby league and was amazing to watch especially with Dailey and Stuart in the halves and this is coming from a lifelong Roosters supporter
One of my fav players of all time especially for NSW
Was such a popular player and his impact was crazy.
The 94 Canberra Raiders team was one of the greatest rugby league teams ever and was amazing to watch especially with Daley and Stuart in the halves and this is coming from a lifelong Roosters supporter
Best player in his prime I have ever seen. Cameron Smith not far behind, Lazuras, Mal, Slater, John’s, Kenny, Lewis
Brad still looks great! 🙂
Great segment for the legend Brad Clyde. Well done 9
Clydesdale. The workhorse.
Humble legend of the Game
Absolute legend of a player. Those were the days!
Clyde overshadowed by being in a team full of greats. But standalone one of the greatest locks ever
A Gentleman of the game!!!
My mate named his son Bradley because he was such a big fan of the man.
He was the player that kicked off Super league. Standing with both Australia props, was told he was the man super league was throwing ANY money sign over.
Great bloke, loved the segment
Legend of a player…
Best no. 13 ever, da man
‘Scuse Me - Ron Coote was doing this in the early 70’s.
ALL-TIME!
What a legend.
1989 GF was first GF I remember watching, Clyde was such an awesome player.
Greatest Lock Forward of All Time 🐐
Champion player in any era Legend
Slater listens to every word.
My favourite player
All the number 13s were gold in Clyde's days which says alot. Always high tackle count, run rate and metres. Hugh Magahn was my favourite
My fav player…
Best Lock to ever play the game.
From Clyde, to Steve Menzies and Fittler - centre to 5/8 to lock
🐐👏
BC is the man
what about the 89 world club challenge
The title of the video makes it sound like he's up himself😂
But the opposite is true
Remember Townsville 2022 😂😂😂😂😂
What happened?
These guys havent heard of Coote and Price.
Green Machine
Guys what about TURN the referee and the bunker around the BAD CALL got to stop please. Bring one referee one from the bunker in and ask them if they are being told to make those BAD decisions.🤔
The nrl don’t employ him cos he promoted SUPER league
That’s all this is over 💯
And bob Linder didn’t add anything to the lock role that brad Clyde then took on later.
Both extremely good players and people.
The only thing wrong with Clyde was that he was a NSW rep.
If he was a Maroon he'd be an immortal.
Ellery Hanley was my favourite player untill Clyde came along. Built like a second rower and as fast as a centre.
If you’re trying to keep the slow horses separated from the fast horses, why on earth would you have the fast horses leave after the slow ones?? Who were the cowboys running that business?
Great player. Only fault was he played too hard and gave himself injuries
Up the Milk
The giant impact on the game was the late 80's when steroids arrived. Now its' peptides.
All these Wingers turned Props, and halves turned backrowers didn't occur by eating porridge.
Doesnt get his due abit like Sterling to me .
Two very smart cookies there!
Two not so smart!
what an ugly studio setup!!
There was none better than Brad. His positional play and technique were outstanding
That Raiders team late 80 and 90 was a real champion team so many state and national representatives both NSW & QL thats when rugby league was in its prime with the late Tina Turner on tnd ads.
I'm from PNG and was 19 years old watching the GF on TV in Madang Province, PNG where I was on duty travel. We loved him in PNG. Not only a great guy and a champion but very disciplined and best role model on and off the field. We used to call him Claidie Boy. He still looks pretty..!! One of the legends of Raiders, Blues and Kangaroos.
