The verse is referring to the fact that if a plurality of GODs exist, then, it would follow that every God would also need the Throne of THE GOD. To understand the argument, recount the following implicit granted assumption in the premise of the verse:
That a God already exists, and that God is All Powerful, and he alone - is THE owner of THE THRONE. (The throne has a non trivial significance in Aqeedah and has unparalleled grandeur )
Now assume that more Gods exist by applying the definitive attributes of God. Why is God, a god ? Because he is All- Powerful.
At this point, if you think hard enough, you will run into all sorts of logical quandaries that you wouldn't know where to start. For one - What process would facilitate the birth or creation of a secondary all powerful God ? Just the follow up on this thought would preclude you from hypothesising a multiplicity of Gods. But the Qur'an simplified the argument by skipping the step of the problem of conception of a second God and started from hypothetically granting its existence. "Suppose a second GOD exists...." that is independent of the first God (it must be, because we are talking about a second GOD - that is also an all powerful one!). Why would it then want to confine itself to a hierarchically inferior position by choosing to NOT covet THE THRONE - the most majestic of ALL creations , for which a second such similar thing cannot even be encompassed into this world ( without making room by destroying what already exists of the throne). Why would that God choose to remain a non contestant ? Furthermore, if he remains so - he is subservient in ability or material power, and is therefore no longer A GOD. For him to be existentially God, his essence and supremacy must be commensurate with what he possess.
In the end, the argument if fairly simple. But atheist types approach it with a simpleton mindset and can make no head or tail.

@@reclaim_kashi_vishweshwar_1195 to learn any religion, you got to read it's scriptures and in today's world there are many ways to know the scripture...you get both written matter and audio versions...i don't know much about Qur'an but the Bible is available in many languages..most important thing is that you got to read the scripture in the language you can understand and not simply keep reciting without understanding what it means and believe what the religious leaders teach!!

Since i was a muslim I used to take others prasadams and offerings any time, I don't have any kind of abhorrence in my mind against any relegion. My family was secular. We were used to see films dramas, dancing every taboos what Islam restricted.

I strongly think that propagating rationality and scientific is the only antitode to so many ideological wars happening among common people.
I also observed that you said - Muslimophobia rather than Islamlphobia. Amazing!
I have been thinking about this since a long time. The word Islamlphobia has been used to stop the criticism of Islam. If I say anything about Islam, people label me as Islamlphobic.
The real phobia that we should focus on is the phobia against Muslims just because they are Muslims. Therefore, Muslimophobia is the correct word.
