Secularism is an European concept to indicate a dividing line between the state and religion. it came out of the centuries old religious strife in Europe. we are using the word out of context. The Indian state has seriously interfered( without going into the rights and wrongs of it) with Hindu religion the temples temple lands and the temple resources. But left the other religions strictly alone.

1967 മുതൽ സിപിഎം സിപിഐ & കോൺഗ്രസിന്റെ കൂടെ കേരളത്തിലെ ഭരണത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗം ആയപ്പോൾ മുസ്ലിം ലീഗിന്റെ മന്ത്രിമാർ 100%വും മുസ്ലിംസ് മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നു - പട്ടികജാതി റിസർവ് സീറ്റിൽ നിന്നും ജയിച്ച ദളിത് മുസ്ലിം ലീഗ് എംഎൽഎമാർ പലപ്രാവശ്യം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും അവരെ ആരേയും മന്ത്രി ആക്കിയില്ല.
ഇതിൻറെ ഫുൾ ഡീറ്റെയിൽസ് എവിടുന്നൊക്കെ ആണ് കിട്ടുന്നത് .

@Arif - with all due respect, I have to disagree on your outlook about secularism between Europe and India being the same. In Europe, secularism means “no religion” and in India, political parties have twisted its definition to “some religions being more equal than others”

Hi Arif, Manju Warrier;s dialog in "ആറാം തമ്പുരാൻ" is the right way to confront all the leaders across the parties and religions/castes. "അതല്ലല്ലോ എന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിനുള്ള മറുപടി". These leaders always come up with an argument "so and so people/party has done it before and so why you are questioning me on this etc." Then you must tell them "അതല്ലല്ലോ എന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിനുള്ള മറുപടി".
