Merci pour la vidéo. J'ai toujours voulu l'entendre parler en français! Mai il y avait que des vidéos en chinois.

learn a whole sentence rather than a single word; this way you will learn how to actually use the words in sentence

@@LeeSeungrhee sounds useful cuz in that way u start to "consume the language as it is" instead of just random useful words, now, the problem is that when i search for "paragraphs" or phrases online .....all i get are easy ones for travelling

@@strongindependentblackwoma1887 look for something deeper. My case (living in Korea as an European person): instead of looking for "phrases in Korean" I'd look for (e.g.) "한국 회식 문화" which will show me a lot of stuff related to that topic (Korean company dinner traditions), as this type of activity is common for me

Memorizing individual words would take them out of the context. And then you might use them in the wrong context ‘cause every word has their own nuances. Also, you might use the memorized words with your native language grammar/structure, hence you’ll sound off or incorrect. Julien is recommending memorizing the whole sentence or paragraph, so you capture the context. Check out “comprehensible input” (CI) and “automatic language growth” (ALG).
