Imo, the most interesting guest you've had so far. Having gone through manzai training and then making his living in the Japanese comedy world gives him such a unique perspective.
Nick specifically looks like the PS1 version of RE2 Leon

Nick is a smart guy. I want to know how he keeps his English not rusty at all while speaking immaculate Japanese.
Nick has some of the best Japanese ive ever seen from a foreigner. I watch him and atsu's channel for immersion all the time.
I've always found Nick's language learning journey interesting in how he decided to join a manzai school before he became fluent in Japanese. It very much feels like dropping a baby in the deep end of the swimming pool, except that it was completely conscious and intentional on his part. I hope to one day have his sort of commitment.
For immersion, I love watching videos with him and Atsu eigo talking about particular nuances of English. Great interview as always.
ME TOO! They are so charming and fun to listen to.
Smash the like button so Nick can continue being a Chad in Japan
Nick is such a great guy, amazing guest!
Jam packed interview. Thanks for another good one
Thanks for the good work! I want to see Nick perform. A link to any clip would be much much appreciated :)
Subbed at 9.51K. You guys are going places. Looking forward to it.
Smashed the like button.
This was super interesting. Not just the Japanese part but Nick as a person
Can you interview Joe Inoue please?
How about getting Atsueigo to the podcast?
Some of the older downtown shows are quite shocking, I was surprised that kind of stuff was ever allowed to be aired on TV. That kind of content still exists though it's just gone online shows like ăă©ă± and ç°ææ·łć°äžæłąă§ăŻăăĄç”¶ćŻŸ are always a good watch.
I recommend æ°Žææ„ăźăăŠăłăżăŠăł as wellđ It's so good
He is great đ
You should link his CZcams channel.
Wait we were both born in 1986? Jesus this dude likes like he's a good 10 years younger than me holy hell. What's his secret? Get him back on your show and ask him how he's pushing 40 and looks 24
Yeah that would be interesting
But i think its the japanese diet. Collagen supplements etc is very cheap in japan. Even the japanese mallows have collagen in it
7:00 hooray, for once the trifecta of my existence works in my favor! JAPAN, HERE I COME!!! đ
Pretty cool, he's done well, 1/8 Chinese I wonder if he ever brings that up in Japan, curious what the Japanese would think. peace.
Haha the most shocking part of this video was how jacked nick is
Chad is a Nick
éąçœăăȘïœăšæăăŸăăăă :)
Das hat mich schockiert.
I miss the "...and Sadboy!"
7:02 He let his inner American outđ
I wonder if it helps that he is both a foreigner and has a very Japanese look/ facial features. He looks more Asian than European in some significant ways.
I got actually interviewed by you ăŻäœăă«æ„æŹăž like seriously. They followed my lifestyle for several days but it got cancelled due to corona :(
What's XONIUQE?
Most based outro song ever. I see these are men of culture.
Heâs incredible, as cringe as it sounds what a cool guy lol. No doubt heâd steal my girlfriend.
I think the reason why Japanese people reacted so bad to Chris Rock's joke instead of Will Smith's violence is just because making fun of disease conditions is a big nono in Japan. Still, I believe that violence in public is way worse, but remember, Japan still has a death penalty, and ppl grew up with Jump heroes.. so unconsciously this concept of "violence could be justifiable for revenge" penetrated people's minds in Japan đ€·ââ
so what you are saying is that making fun of people who stand out in anyway is what is comedy in Japan. sounds incredibly weak comedy and certainly problematic
Nick isn't dealing with reality. Matt's Japanese makes Nick look like he was dropped on his head shortly after childbirth.
