    Nice short review. Thank you for actually riding this on trails instead of on a track, which happens all too often in reviews of woods bikes.

    been riding mx for 30 years now and have owned at least a dozen bikes.. 4 and 2 strokes. Im 220lbs and the FUNNEST bike Ive ever owned was a 2006 YZ125 bored to 144 by Eric Gore. I can not describe how much more exciting my time at the track was on that thing, I fell in love with motocross again because of it. When it came time to explore trail and enduro riding I ended up with the 2022 TE150i even tho the two bigger models were right beside it. I was stunned at how broad and smooth and linear the power is on this thing. I can lug it or wring its neck and let it scream. Its amazing what they managed to do with a small bore two stroke. And its light, nimble and playful. Amazing bike.

      l was reading up on two strokes when manufactures were first developing EFI . the TE150i has a fuel injector in each set of transfer ports controlled by the ecu ..and the only way husky was able to keep from burning up pistons was to install p.s.i. sensors in the crankcase that becomes higher than atmosphere when the RPM becomes high enough..that is the RPM that starts the power band . to keep the mixture from leaning out the ECU needs to know what the ever increasing air pressure is becoming to tell the fuel injectors to add more fuel at a given rate in order to maintain a constant air/fuel ratio..all 2 strokes are internally supercharged by the action of the piston compressing the intake charge trapped by the reed valve as it reaches bottom dead center where it reverses direction only to compress the supercharged air/fuel transfer from the crankcase to the cylinder head combustion chamber where the forced induction gets compressed again before the spark plug fires off the much denser air/fuel mixture than any 4 stroke can possibly obtain naturally aspirated that means they all are limited to only 14.7 p.s.i. air pressure at any RPM

    If your beyond the beginner stage and have any desire to hold it open like your old 125 you’ll want the Two Stroke Performance head,ecu,and pipe. I have the previous model and now it’s a blast to ride.

    I have the tpi. Version with a tsp kit and it is such a fun bike to ride. You nailed the bike strength and short coming. It is very capable and keeps you busy while you ride. I came from a xcw450 that was awesome but a lazy bike to ride and i could rarely open it up safely. I can charge hard on the 150 and be safer in a way. Best advice is get your suspension adjusted to your weight and it is a dream to ride. Good review.

    KTM ditching the 200 made no sense, people loved that platform and the 150 is no replacement. If that's the segment you are craving, look at the Beta 200 as it's even better than the old KTM 200.

    • @Dashriprock4
      @Dashriprock4 Před 11 měsíci

      Ive had a 200 and a 150. Completely agree that 200 is a better woods motor in every way except for top end. Don't forget the Rieju 200 also.

  • @biker-dr1ne

    I have the 2023 Beta 200RR and the Husky TBI TE 150. The Beta is an easier bike to ride if you don't want to be in the upper RPM range all the time. The Husky turns and soaks up rocks and slow speed hits in a much more plush way. Luckily I don't have to choose between them

    • @Jwils4

      Great question. Most people you hear give opinions refer to 23 and older models when the 24 is a completely different bike. I can get a 24 te or xcw 150.at a steal right now. The only thing holding me back is people saying i should get a 250. But idk if the price difference is worth it for general trail riding ill be doing.

    • @johnscribb6731

      Kawasaki lost it's nuts and quit making 2-strokes. So disrespectful they now call a 4-stroke a "KX"...yea right. They will probably blaspheme the KDX brand by reintroducing it as a 110cc 4-stroke with no lights, for children to ride.
