In this video I'll show you 10 beginner snowboard skills that you can practice at home before your first day. In this video I'm on a training board, but you can also use your snowboard or a skateboard deck. Make sure that you have lots of room to be safe. Practicing these 10 beginner snowboarding skills will give you a good idea of what to expect on your first day. I'm a beginner snow board and my first day I got all the way down the mountain riding on my heel edge but I'm having a ton of trouble with my toe edge
same! still struggling with toe edge after 3 days of lessons. Heel edge feels like a more natural position to me. On my toes I always feel awkward, like I can't get in the right position. and then I just end up falling backwards. I had some pretty gnarly falls during my lesson the other day where I was supposed to be learning S turns... lol.

I really like the video but to practice heel edge properly you really need a wall or something to lean against. Otherwise you end up with straight legs like in the video. It’s really hard to practice proper form without moving unless you have something to lean against.
How did you make the board?

100% If you can swing the little extra you'll be much happier. Even if you only ride a few times a season the double boa is great for those long 8 hour days.
Finneus Sanner it can be compromised with periodic breaks, or good socks. If you have the money and ride all day and your feet hurt, buy them

Alot of people say lessons are mandatory. Im going on su day for the first time. Is it enough to practice at home and do what you did in you lessons videos? I can ride comfortabky skateboard if that helos anything at all. Dont want to spend the whole day listening to people and watch overweight people and liitle girls never getting on.
What do you think? Should i try it by myself? I will be going with 2 skiers so they cabt show me anything haha

I've been a skier for 2 years now. I tried snowboarding once and yeah, it was way more fun than skiing. I really want to start snowboarding, but the problem is that i already have skis, and since i'm only 12 my parents (my mom, dad doesn't really care) don't really like the idea. Maybe 2018 season...
VRTNN my parents didn't want me to start too so i started snowboarding when i got 16
