    Nice, Tommie, love the off snow action! So glad you hooked up with snowboard addiction. I just started watching you this past season and was hoping to put your beg/int stuff to work, but then... covid. I'm older (50+) and usually just chasing my (skier) daughter down the hill. I can get down anything but You'll help me up my cool factor.... thanks and keep rocking!

    But my apartment is smaller than your living room... gonna have to find a spot to practice. 😅

      from snowboard addiction? do regular bindings work with it?

    • @paddor
      @paddor Před 4 lety

      Kreative Outlet I think so. But you’d have to use your boots. You can use the bindings from SA with just your socks and the ratchets are covered to reduce injuries on the trampoline.

      You could also use a skateboard deck and bike inner tube for straps.or just gaffer tape some old trainers to it .worked for the snowboard procamp boys.😉

    Thanks for all your awesome videos Tommy. I was trying frontaide 180s the other day and the problem I kept having is that as I was preloading the spin with my shoulders, my board would turn on the direction of my shoulders. Not shocking, but how do you preload without turning? I'm regular, so I'd turn right as I was preloading

    Question about snowboard trick, when you’re just carving and you make a jump. What’s better? Trying to Ollie into the trick or just popping? I’m kinda new to snowboard tricks!

    Hey Tommie!! Another awesome video man! Thanks! I just have a totally unrelated question to this video but wanted your input. I just bought an evil twin 2020 and I'm looking for a binding to suit it, I'm looking into, Rome dod, malavitas, union force, any one out of these you would recommend or any of your own?? Thanks!!

  • @galognu
    @galognu Před 4 lety +1

    Tommie...Thanks for all your videos. I have a challenging question that I'm not sure you got to address this year on your on snow videos. You had frontside 180's tutorial but not backside 180's. So on this particular practice video when you talk about backside 180's you mention specifically either looking over or under your shoulder but to look specifically downhill for your landing. From multiple other sources when trying to land backside 180's if you are looking downhill you are likely to keep rotating and not be able to land it. I thought the main aspect of landing these are the blind landing BEFORE you start to look downhill. I wonder is you can specifically comment on this. My concern is that working on these trying to look downhill ASAP will make them difficult to land in snow. I will be using my tramp board on my trampoline as well as practice on my longboard but I think where you look is imperative. I'd appreciate your input. Thank you

    • @douglasdonivam
      @douglasdonivam Před rokem

      maybe you are now able to nail backside 180 after 3 years, but I agree, blind landing was the best way to achieve my first backside 180 instead of looking downhill... you basically look where you board is landing... if u are not comfortable riding switch and know how to quickly turn back to your stance, then do it as soon as you land... but the trick (at least for me) was to really look uphill instead of downhill and mostly looking at where I was landing....

    hi Tommie,
    don`t know if I should get the jib or the tramp board. Initially I wanted to get the tramp board bc I don`t want to use an extra rug to not scratch the parquet flooring in my flat, but idk if the feeling of the Ptex is more realistic and translates better into the "real world". What do you think?

    • @dr.revenue3636
      @dr.revenue3636 Před 4 lety +4

      yeah the price point with bindings is the price of a pretty darn good snowboard..

    • @BoardThroughThePain
      @BoardThroughThePain Před 4 lety +1

      My channel is about boarding on a budget and I found a $50 goodwill snowboard works perfect. I rounded the edges, and put rubber guards on the ends to protect the furniture/jib. Edit: it's also closer to your boards actual weight and snow boots definitely make a difference.
