Dude isnât fat, which means heâs eating a normal amount of calories. Heâd have eaten these chicken or some other meat likely. Also, donât argue he made chicken more popular, itâs one of the most, if not most popular meat in the world.
I think that show is trash, but not because the wings or hot sauce just way over hyped. Yes chickens died but I have to say as an outdoorsman, Iâm glad their flesh wasnât wasted or thrown away. To me thatâs the bigger crime is meat thatâs not consumed but just thrown away or cook then thrown away. I can say the same with vegetables too, I cook and eat what I harvest or grown. Over indulgence and waste are the real crime.
You are correct that wasting vegetables/plants is bad too. I would bet that we can also agree that wasting any resource like animal feed, fertile land, fertilizer, pesticides, clean water and air, antibiotics and so on is bad too. Unfortunately, how we produce chicken meat in general is wasteful on all fronts compared to plant proteins. It might be better than beef or mutton and I am sure that you would make sure only minimal resources are spent on your chickens if you would raise them, but the demand for chicken meat just too large to raise all these chickens on nice small organic farms. The demand has to come down by a lot for us to raise chickens more sustainably. In order to do that plant-based alternatives have to become the first choice of the consumer, not the last.
