I have to say this, I'm only 6min in, but this is the best interview I've ever seen of hers. Everywhere else, she's treated like the funny-quirky-sexy latina, whereas here she's a complex human being with decades of knowledge and experience on her craft. Sean, you're fantastic. I've always liked Salma but have never been able to pinpoint whether she is sincere. Which isn't exactly a bad thing as she is a great actress. So them showing the post-tasting clips really made me value her as a person. Sean is one of the most honest, gentle and genuine "celebrity" interviewers out there. Her picking up on how much he puts into his work and that is shows, is so special.

Arguably the best interviewer in media today. Well researched and always interesting. Doesn’t ever have to be controversial or contentious with his guests. His style of interviewing always seems to relax his guests in to a very relaxed and honest state I’m wondering if chilli acts as a sort of sodium pentathol 😊

That totally CRACKED ME! how wonderful Salma uses Spanish expressions to describe sensations, always proud of her roots. Plus the visual descriptions “This one is an ATTACK to the tongue… You don’t feel any flavor, just PAIN… Like a BAD lover”… 😂😂😂😂😂
Sean noticed all the descriptions, but sth truth about us Mexicans is that we’re, most of us, very visual, and we can be very descriptive with comparative images. Salma totally handled those spicy wings gracefully, being Mexican gives us a bit of advantage (hope Sean invites Korean, Thai and Indian Hollywood movie stars, they have extremely hot peppers more demolishing than us Mexicans)
When it shifts from an interview to a conversation; when the guest starts asking Sean questions and taking an interest in him.
That is when you see how Hot Ones is different from the typical interview show.
I never realized this, but she is such an intent listener. She was looking at Sean like she wanted to hear him. That's such an amazing quality in a person!
I just listen for the opportunity for me to speak. 😔
I believe its because he actually takes the time to learn his guests before they come on and ask questions he wants to know. (which is what we want to know also)

She even didn't understand the first question right at 2:15 when Sean asked what role does music play in helping her get into character... her answer was "every character" and gave a bullshit explanation lol.... she didnt understand the question

One of the best episodes ever. The way that she enjoys testing the sauces flavor it's great. As a good Mexican, she identifies the aromas and flavors when tasting them. Mexican moms would be proud.
By the way, if she says that "The Bomb" sauce is disgusting, it is without a doubt.

Everybody is talking about Salma adopting Sean as a mexican, but can we appreciate how down to earth she is, especially when she sits with him at the end, asking him about his job and being genuinely interested? A lot of the times, we put actors on a pedestal, but in reality, they're the same humans as us, with just more exposure. I love when we can see the normality in a person such as Salma. This was a great interview!

Sean is such a great interviewer. When Salma appears on other late night shows, the hosts have this tendency to create an awkward cadence. And they never seem to ask the right questions or to listen. But with Sean, I feel like he is always prepared for the interview while also being so courteous and kind. Great work Sean! love the show as always

Ever since watching Desperado back in the cable box era, I've always thought Salma Hayek as a prestigious unique talented actress. After rewatching this Hot Ones, I realize how funny and positively hysterical she is. What a woman and actress. Great interview.

I don't think she meant to flex but was searching for words but only found what she could to explain her passion for tacos. She explained early on she had dyslexia, so it's to be expected she wouldn't be as accurate.
Hot Ones has bigger guests and better conversations than every other show. Seriously, ABC will have the cast for Avengers on, but 8 people might say two things. This is half an hour of everything.

It's pretty good, watch the graham norton show. Plenty of full episodes on CZcams. It's the best "chat" show running. The closest thing was Craig fergusons late late show, lots of off the cuff humor with no boundaries.

Just reminded me of when i was awakened out of a dead sleep by fanning feathers on my face(flapping wings) in this house i lived at 20 yrs ago. I dont know what it was but i watched it disappear into a spiral in the corner of the room above me, where 2 walls meet the ceiling!!! Scared the sh*t out of me!!! Needless to say i moved out of that house after a few other strange unexplainable things occured there!
