Disney are continuing to lose more and more money every day but things may have just gotten worse for the failing company, as they are now facing multiple lawsuits for illegal discrimination. On top of that it's been reported that Disney allegedly got a movie critic fired and lost him money, just for a negative review! If this is true, that is a huge blow to the dying reputation of Disney and it's other franchises like Marvel. But despite this they are doubling down on everything that's killing the company with the latest example being Doctor Who. So when will they finally learn.

I for one am totally here for a Rey movie, set fifteen or so years after Rise of Palpatine, where Rey is a bitter, weak, used up husk of a character who only shows up, to give up.
I dont know why folks arent excited for the fall of Rey, just like every other Jedi master thats made the return.
Ashoka of course being the exception, because she was ejected from the order and no longer a Jedi. Just like Dooku. The rebels Ashoka was awesome, the live action one was.....I dunno. I didnt watch it. But I do know as incontrovertible fact, shes no Jedi and hasnt been for decades.

This is not entirely true. John Ford is much more nuanced about "heroism". And for the films of Alfred Hitchcock or Akira Kurosawa this is even less true. The Bridge on the River Kwai, Easy Rider, Bonnie and Clyde, the Godfather and so on "heroic acts" is a complex thing.
It is Clint Eastwood who has in his filmography as a director who has worked a lot on the question of “heroic acts”. And he shows that things are not as simple as “there are heroic acts”.

But if millions of people pulled their subscriptions, then it would make a difference. As long as people keep giving them $, they'll keep doing it.
But I will go further. Even if they lost a crap-ton of $, they still wouldn't care. Their greatest motivation isn't money. It's destruction and demoralization. Don't get me wrong, the $ is nice, too. But it would have to be an overwhelming loss of viewership/revenue for them to take any notice. What that number is, I don't know. Never Forget - "The Customer is ALWAYS RIGHT in MATTERS OF TASTE". Don't Tell them what to like, don't cause hatred, and don't try to monetize negative attention - the flywheel will be lost in the process.

There is an example that I often give. Ring of Power and House of the Dragon were released the same month. Both are about a woman in a man's world, with supporting characters "from diversity" (blacks). Everyone loved HotD, which has well-written characters and plot ideas and good staging. And no one liked RoP.
Even a "woke" film like Prey was hailed as pretty good by fans compared to the garbage that was Predator 3 and 4 (as well as AvP). Not the movie of the year and it had problems. But everyone admitted to being “pleasantly surprised”.
What people want is the bare minimum of entertainment.

Make "push the agenda" movies that a majority of customers didn't ask for or want > People see movies and don't like them. > Critics point out the bad parts and give bad reviews.
    Solution: Sue the critics?!
The root cause is the content of the movies, and they have all the feedback required to make movies people like again and make money. I mean, if Little Debbie decided to cut all of their products and start making only fruitcakes, they'd get the same feedback. Their customers would stop buying, and critics would speak out basically saying "Even the best fruitcakes are still awful, bring back fudge rounds." You don't sue the critics for saying that fruitcakes suck, and continue just making fruitcakes......you ditch the fruitcakes and bring back fudge rounds. Everyone is happy, except for that small niche of people out there that were cheering on the fruitcakes, which is actually for some reason larger than the actual amount of fruitcake customers.

The idea of coming as an asylum seeker is that you return home if and when your home country is safe again. The UN says returns must be voluntary, but it’s quite obvious that representing refugees as only temporary migrants (using another nation as a safe house) is how they sell the altruistic idea and get host populations on board with it.
Gatwa’s family fled the Rwandan family fled the 1994 genocide when N’cuti was two years old.
We are told that Rwanda is now safe, so why haven’t Gatwa’s family returned? Quite possibly they genuinely don’t feel safe to return with good reason. In which case, why do they allow Gatwa to spit in the face of the nation and people that gave them sanctuary, by using racist terms like “gammon”? Surely that’s a gross abuse of hospitality?

Any company hemorrhaging cash like this would have reigned in the idiots long ago.
No company with this many losses on the books would survive and continue to make the same mistakes and products over and again.
They must have figured out how make Losing money benefit their bottom line somehow - as if the films were a small part of the pie they can write off their taxes . Unless there was some benefit, it’s hard to imagine a company that fiscally irresponsible they just don’t care if the films make or lose money.

It wasn't just the bad writing, which was absolutely terrible, IMHO she was also terrible!
The Chibnall Whitaker era killed the show and I was hoping that the RTD2 era would improve things but the 4 specials weren't that great and the bi-generation was just as bad if not worse than the timeless child.

Wouldn't have loved it, but I would have been open to it. It is science FICTION, after all. But the fact that they did it right as the woke cult was taking over, and they made such a huge fuss of it being a woman, it told me it was about the agenda, first. Not the story.
And I don't know if this girl is a bad actress or what, but the clips I've forced myself to sit through have been horrible! She came across like she was doing a bad impersonation of David Tennant. It was utterly unwatchable.
