I vote that a "Lifetime Classics" channel is created. All of the "based on a true story", "made for TV, after school movie" films like this that were made in the 1990s are the BEST!!

I really liked the format 640 by 480 from the old days. Yes it looks nice the HD except it's wider and shorter so you get the top and bottom cut off and more on the sides. I don't think HD is all it's cracked up to be.. plus it takes up so much space imagine 4K I don't even never tried nor have a beast of a computer that I need if you're watching these on your phone without Wi-Fi it won't take as much data.. what I really really really really don't like people take a 640 by 480 and make it 7:20 by 1280 oh that really* irks me everything is flat or cut off LOL that's just me I guess being analytical. I just can't watch if somebody makes an HD unless maybe they have a really good program to change it but it's still*** up
old movies like this, keep you on the edge of the seat- Not like todays TRASH

Ez RC, This is not a old movie but a new one. Old good classic movies are 1970's, 1960's, 1950's, 1940's, 1930's and even 1920's.

It wasn't unexpected. It was so obvious it was the stepfather. That's my opinion. The second I heard his wife say 'Raymond', I knew.
This movie is VERY disturbing because it does not address the issue of the rape of a teenage girl by her stepfather! It refers to him as her 'lover'. Um, NO. He isn't her 'lover', he's her 'rapist'.

Such a great movie to watch, the plot, the twist at the end was unexpected. I can usually guess who it is but this time I was caught by surprise. I give this movie a 10/10 I love it how the mom was so kind and patient with her daughter, they don’t make movies like this anymore. The classic ones are the best!! Must watch!!

I think in most modern movies they place way too much obvious attention on the other characters. That’s how we are able to guess correctly who the killer is. When your only exposed to the point of view of your main character then your only able to find out or understand as much as they do. This stuck to two points of view, mother, and daughter. Sometimes multiple whole points of view without giving away the ending can be done but, it takes a genius to pull that off.

Moral of the story: Ppl with children watch out who your children are with.
Also moral of the story: kids are dumb make sure they cover all their tracks in a murder investigation.

Let me just say to all parent's, I have dealt with my kids in trouble. I convinced them to tell the truth, & the friends involved all turned themselves in and paid their penalties. They were very thankful for my stance, & support fixing their errors in judgement! Lying, hiding anything for them only makes it worse. You don't help by enabling! The young friend years later when we meet always picks me up in huge bear hug! Love that kid!

I could not IMAGINE getting caught with a boy in my room in my mother's home, or even talking to my mom like that...good Lord, that part was hard to watch.

Excellent movie. Ya know, even after seeing Katey Sagal in other dramas such as Sons Of Anarchy it's still kinda crazy watching the woman I first knew as Peggy Bundy play a serious role but she really is a fine actress.

Forensic scientists are very skilled people, its so clever how much they can find out. When a crime is committed silly mistakes made in the heat of the anger, becomes the thing that gets them arrested.
Interesting how each mother was convinced their teenager never lies!! And, yet, they did. And, what’s with the ex-husband walking into the house whenever he wants without knocking, as if he had every right. Overall, a great movie with a good, suspenseful, plot. Thank you for sharing.
I agree about everything you have stated. The ex-husband was also rude to the ex-wife when he verbally put her down and she (basically) allowed him to.
If they are still married, which they were, it's technically still his house as well.

When I was a kid this was a fabulous movie to watch outdoors at the Drive In. Today on the TV screen it's still so classic. I later began watching more movies with The legendary Mr. S.P. rip.. But this might have been the only movie I remember Ms. Elizabeth in which made me check this movie out. There had to have been an age difference between them. I had to see this and then find her history of what she became of later. Seems movies like this could have had a sequel. I came here almost a decade later and saw this scene ... Two lone women one being a teenager and one a VERY pregnant woman in the middle of the woods, unarmed knocking on a door of a seedy looking cabin. No way anything wrong can happen here. Looks like a disappearing case waiting to happen. Then the young girl proceeds to go ALONE with the guy they think did it to confront him in the woods. Where the hell is her brains?
I would have gotten a male due to the fact one pregnant woman and a young girl is no match for a male that could be dangerous.
She was blinded by love. She wanted so badly to believe her guy wasn't guilty that she didn't think about the dangers!
There were a lot of unbelievable things in the movie. And who moved Vicky's car? Did I miss that?

Certainly not all the time... but I noticed that I get one right after there's "quick moment" of drama... then COMMERCIAL... & back to drama which is repeated... so we get to hear it again. Besides, the commercials are about 5 seconds... a hell of ALOT BETTER THAN TV COMMERCIALS! 😨😎😄👍🐾

Even though I suspected the stepfather early on, and would come back to that suspicion with every time Ryan was very convincing with his "I didn't do anything with Vickie," the ending still surprised me. I thought that at some point forensics would show that the baby was not Ryan's, and that would expose the stepfather as an incestuous murderer. Having Christine and her mother and Ryan sleuth it out was the surprise I didn't see coming.
It's never satisfying to watch such movies where no remorse is shown from all those who behaved badly towards the innocent and abruptly end the movie... I would have definitely wanted to see such remorse on the face of Vicky's mother...

The truth is movies have been coming out with those movies for quite some time where it desensitizes kids nowadays to feel nothing at all. After all, slash movies or any type of movie after so many makes you numb. Not necessarily this one but add to the formula parents that don't teach kindness and compassion for others is a problem in today's society.

My next doors sister and his son were stabbed to death on broad day in their appartment. They were visited, then had heat argument with someone who stabbed them. Afterward it was revealed that they were stabbed by their neighbors. The murders even attended funeral. Saying words of condolences to the relatives.
