It’s sad that no one had Nicole’s back. Her own friends just wanted her to take Greg back despite the fact that he was a cheater. Her own parents didn’t give a darn about what was going in her life. It was messed up how her mom assumed it was her fault they broke up. She and Tina bonded not only because Nicole has a good heart; but, they were both lonely. They left it totally unclear why her mother kept ignoring her, but I figured it was a second marriage, and the younger brothers were the new family, and she was part of the old family. A little more background would have helped, and a lot less of her bitchy friends.
@@nonenoneonenonenoneMaybe narcissistic. I once saw an episode of Dr Phil he said that the mother was abusive to her son because it reminded her of his father. But what is the child's fault, when he is half of her? It looks like they were separate I don't know more details. Another factor is the person being devoid of affection or denatured.
The fact that he compared her to charity work was appalling! Poor girl deserved better❤

True
Well said. Thank you. It could get a girl hurt.
So true. I know someone who's in the same situation. These type of women are DESPERATE.
Exactly. As women we can also take responsibility for our own protection, especially if the guy doesn't. It's wrong if a man doesn't take responsibility, but sadly that doesn't change the fact that there are men out there that might become violent if an attempt to force them to be responsible. For young women, they don't always understand that there are men out there who may not be father / spouse / partner material, and as much as they may want to change him, sadly, it rarely works. Ultimately, we have to be in control of protecting ourselves.

He and his dad thought they would actually get away with it, because of their status. If it wasn't for the girlfriend, they may have. Also, he didn't ever have to be a Father. All he needed to do was provide for his child. They clearly had the means. The problem was, is his status. He felt she was beneath him. This is why he only saw her for his needs and in private. Nicole had the biggest heart. I love her and Tinas bond they had together. Its gut wrenching for someone to lose their child and the fact another human can take that away from someone horrible.
Shirley here, Nicole wished she had the close mother and daughter relationship that Emily had with her mom. That why Nicole liked Tina so much.
If Nicole had ended up with Greg who knows what a guy like that is capable of? He could kill again. Right?

I noticed something alarming in the conversation between the girls mother and the two detectives in the cafe. as true as that might be, we as women have to learn to love ourselves, more than the idea of a relationship. so part responsibility is ours. Know your worth. We teach others how to treat us.
@@angelmac5380 if women taught men how we wanted to be treated, don’t you think we’d actually be treated better? Aside from the movie, statistics show that the number one cause of deaths amongst pregnant women is murder. No matter how much we love our selves, the very men in our lives would do anything to put themselves first, even if it meant harming us.
@@jademurillo67 when I say that, I mean like in this movie, so many women don't know their worth. She put him first instead of herself. He made it clear he didn't want her, or the baby once she became pregnant. Prior to that, he would only meet with her in private to fulfill his own needs. It was always only about himself. So my comment means, if you tolerate disrespect(and a lot is packed in this word in this context) meaning any way negative you feel you are being treated, and continue to put up with it, you are letting him know he can get away with it, and you accept it!
It's all about choices.
This is not limited to this context. This is people in general. We teach people how to treat us. It boils down to, what are you willing to accept and tolerate other people's behavior towards you?

I just don't get why didn't Greg just tell that girl that he impregnated that he had a girlfriend and that he didn't want her. He should have been straight up honest. He should have just let her live and have the baby. He had no right killing her and his unborn child. I don't know why it didn't pop in that girls head that he was done with her. He never cared about her. And Nicole I am so proud of. She saw the truth. When everyone else didn't.
Him telling Emily he had a girlfriend would have probably ended all of this. I feel like if she knew she wouldn’t have been dead set on keeping the baby, she was set on keeping the baby because she wanted to be apart of his life instead of hidden in the middle of nowhere as his “sex machine” because its all he considered her. Emily was his jump off because Nicole was the girl next door, Emily had heart but she didn’t have self esteem because she thought a baby would keep Greg after being hidden from everyone for so long. Emily was a fetish to Greg because she was from the “wrong side of the tracks” and he got off on her being beneath him. He called her charity work, its why her being pregnant was “the end of the world”. If it was Nicole it would have been a different tune since she’s rich.

This movie was possibly inspired by the murder case of Becky Stowe in 1993. Robert Leamon, III was arrogant as hell & thought he got away with it. The police were suspicious of Robert but he passed a lie detector test & they really had no evidence or a body. Two years went by & his girlfriend eventually turned him in because he started behaving in a peculiar way, which made her worry about her life. He buried her on his Uncle's farm in Michigan under the guise of having a picnic. He was sentenced to life, but he appealed his case all the way to the Supreme Court stating he was a minor at the time & he was given a new sentence of 25-60 years. In January 2021, he was paroled & is now living with his mother & step-father. He served 43 years. No longer Mr. Big Shot, huh?

Why do murderers think that they would never get caught?
They rarely think they'll never get caught, they just hope for the best. Some commit the murder spontaneously and try to believe, out of desperation, that everything will blow over, others, who commit premeditated murderers, think that they've planned it perfectly and covered their tracks. I think, deep down, they're always paranoid about getting caught.

Such a good movie! They just don’t make movies like this anymore. Thank you for this great little flashback to the 90’s, my teenaged years.
🌹
I know this is a movie... but at the end....the minute Greg started acting creepy and slowly confessing about covering his tracks, I would have RUN like hell! Nicole was standing there, and even let him put his hands around her neck, giving him a chance to strangle her.
He destroyed his own future the moment he took Emily's life and his child.
He destroyed his own future the moment he cheated on his girlfriend with Emily!
That's true. No one did it for him but himself. And the funniest thing was although she was from the other side of the tracks they were both ending up in the same college. Nicole too. He thought he couldn't keep that secret it certainly would have exploded in his face 😂
@@julieevans3426 Exactly! Look what cheating does! He wanted the best of both worlds, the wholesome, rich, popular girlfriend he could show off to his friends and family and others of the same social calibre, and the secret, poor side piece he could use to satisfy his sexual urges. And where did that land him? In prison. Keep it in your pants folks.
I think men who exploit & use ladies eventually get their karma sooner or later… I saw many cases
Greg's mom n day even look rich, and Emily's mom look poor.
Yes, watching the latest Lifetime movie on Fridays was one of my best memories growing up!!
He murdered two people , Emily and the baby… so disturbing
Shhhhh, don't say that too loud. People around this comment section don't like it when you call them babies. You're so right though.
The description stated above reads: "A high school cheerleader suspects that her popular boyfriend is responsible for the brutal murder of a pregnant girl from the wrong side of the tracks." I think people who live on the wrong side of the tracks can also be honest & hard working, just like those who live on the "right side of the track." The devil doesn't care which side of the track you live on.
💯👍
Kill a mockingbird bird
Harper Lee
Is classified c of people from the wrong side of the tracks
Yeah but in this case the rich girl didn't give it up after 2 years so she was marriage material the poor girl gave it up real fast and easy so she was just a slam piece
They ought to change the description box
@@lindleloverwatterson3484 I wonder how long it took before he had to give it up in prison? Bubba don’t care how much money you pay him. A little or a lot.
Loved Ari Meyers in this movie. She was always good in all her movies, and her hair always looks great. Another good movie she did was "In My Daughter's Name" with Donna Mills. I believe that one was based on a true story, as well.
Yes correct
Her hair really matters that much!
I like her too
agreed, the whole movie i always admired her hair.
Nicole’s mom makes my skin crawl
So disrespectful, coming to someones place and whip out a cigarette in their home...
From all you saw in that movie this was the moment you were pissed of?!
I agree
@@A.T.5943_Susemoji some people went attention no matter if it’s good or bad.
Maybe she didn’t give a shit because she knew deep down that Greg killed Emily.
Cant believe they let him out in 2021 he should of gotten life in prison
Nicole has a good heart! We need to weep with those that weep❤️
I agree she does
Love this movie. If he didn't want the baby he could have just given up his paternal rights,he did not have to kill that girl .
His father caused him fear of losing his privileges and fame maybe. He maybe teached him to think in classes of wealthy and poor or had other rules. You see at the court where the boy expresses his lack of knowledge what to do then and how the father cried because he realised what he made wrong. Instead of a grandchild from the wrong side of the tracks he has a son in prison and the end of his family.
@@danielschoch4881 You're right. His father's face revealed much. Like most people, though, the young man knew the difference between right and wrong. He gave in to his selfish feelings and paid the ultimate price. He also saw his girlfriend as a trophy possession. Which is why (as soon as he felt threatened) he was going to strangle her, too. Possessive (so-called) love can be dangerous.
He killed two lives, not one. And was sorry mainly for getting caught
DAMN! Tell us the whole Movie THEN🙄🙄🙄
Greg didn’t wait his family and friends to know that he was cheating on his super popular girlfriend with a poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks (according to his rich family and snob friends) and when he knocked her up his world shattered and he couldn’t have that. So he kills Emily and their unborn child without a care in the world thinking he will get away with it.
But he didn’t count on Emily’s mum and his girlfriend Nicole becoming friends and not give up on Greg and let him get away with murder.
One of my favourite TV movies. Quality acting. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks for the up load great quality too !
Great film well acted. Miss late 90s films so much
“We’re gonna have a baby Greg” repeated over and over again. I think that she drove him to the point of insanity, perhaps? However, she definitely didn’t deserve to die.
The acting was flawless from every character.
This is a true story of a 15 yr old girl abducted and strangled to death, they said she was 3 months but her mom said she was further along having a boy named Emilio read the article 🤦♀️
Emily was so sweet she didn't deserve that 😢
But she was also stupid and hard-headed.
It's short but I love the scene at 20:06 where Nicole apologizes for the iced tea. It shows she's a sweet person unlike her friends and it starts their bond which I think is great.
at 1:05:44 can you explain to me what Nicole boyfriend dad say to Nicole
@@albertaguiar9361 It's all about the subtext: He's basically saying: If you want me to support your relationship with Greg not to mention do this business deal with your stepdad, you better get Emily's Mom to shut up and stop accusing Greg (even though of course she's absolutely right to).
@@katierowen3166 thank you for answering my question
@@katierowen3166 I am so glad that Greg he got arrested and went to jail and he deserve to go to jail for what he did to kill Emily
@@albertaguiar9361 You are very welcome and I am so glad he went to jail as well!!
Very beautiful story. Thanks for uploading 💐
This is one of my favorite LMN movies!!! Superb acting! Soliel moon Frye is so drop dead gorgeous!!!
If I get a new girlfriend, I’m going to have so many responsibilities. And if I am married to my wife and she is having a baby, I’m going to be a very good father to my lovely kid!
Best of luck, Sweetie. Hope you find a wonderful lady!
It's very hard for both
Young men and women good lessons
To keep in mind.
One of the best Lifetime movies
Wowww…what an awesome movie!!…thanks to The Archive for the upload👍👌✨📽🍿🌸💯🇨🇦
God I can’t stand Nicole’s social climbing mother.
My Mom IS her Mom, it’s so crazy. I always wished we could be closer, like Tina and Emily were :/ Glad her mother realized her daughters worth at the end, at least!
Her mother got it at the end how lucky she got he could have killed her to
Yes but she gets a wake up call
me either
Vile disgusting woman. She never asked her daughter why it didn't work out. Even told her to apologise. She just cares about money. She wasn't trying to help but wanted money. She should go and marry Greg if she wanted his money. Not force her daughter to. How she had such a nice daughter was a mystery. The woman seemed more suited to being Emily's mother because she was more understanding
