got 2 twin cam touring Harleys and have one on each. No set-up required but I will highly recommend a Baker manual primary adjuster when you add the Dark Horse but I have also heard good things about the Hayden although I haven't used it. I think most of the folks that have a lot of noise are also using the factory automatic primary chain adjuster. I was getting primary chain noise at 2800 to 3200 rpm when i held it steady there for a couple minutes. It sounded like the primary chain was hitting the case. Ditched the factory adjuster for the Baker and life is good. Both of mine run out smooth and quiet. I get a nice smooth frisky response on throttle up. I have found though that I feel the lugging is much smoother but it really shines on a deceleration entrance into a corner. I think it smooths that out very nicely.

I put the Darkhorse drive sprocket in my V-Twin modified bagger and it's working great!

I am getting ready to put one in my 2006 Harley Heritage Softail along with direct drive cam gears.

I have the Haydon and dark horse comp in my Dyna, reliable starting and no clanking, smoother running in general, and more direct feel getting on/ off the gas.
If I realy lug the bike you can feel it a bit more, but that's just good feedback imo.
Puts a dent in your pocket, but the bike is improved considerably, and reliable.

Awesome! Good to know the Hayden is also a solid investment. Thanks for watching.

@@LoneWolferGarage I would say the two combined bullet proofs the primary, and helps protect gearbox outer bearings., I also replaced inner clutch hub and bearing and inner primary bearing.

Good review update on the compensator. I hope it lasts and lasts. Decades from now historians discover your bike. They put fresh fuel and ride it around even more IF the construction is done 😆🏍🚧

but no one knows, if the construction is done, before they actually put the fuel in....

@@theodorstravels Very good point. So the bike will likely be caught in traffic again😆

do you know how often the Man O War compensator bushings should be replaced? Can they be replaced with the compenator still on the bike? Thank you for you time

Darkhorse did say they believe the bushings last 30K. I'll probably be there next year and I can report back on if i can replace them on the bike or not at some point. But if you want to touch base with Darkhorse, they answer the phone whenever I call, Central Time, and are very coll folks.
