    You mentioned that sometimes it's nice to be able to use extra batteries for your transmitter, you can use a portable phone charger in your pocket and run the usb wire to your transmitter and have plenty of battery power.

    This is incredible! I had to pause my build because I didn't have a tx/rx and the $250+ cost was a "wait and save" expense. This little unit is only $60 and includes the receiver! Sold!

    Thanks Bob, cool controller, reminds me of a game console controller.
    I really like your movies, you discuss everything very precisely, without annoying music, without artificial enthusiasm. Always professional and without unnecessary talking. You are a real mine of knowledge and motivation in building my project.
    Thank you !

    I’m so glad you did a video on this controller. They should give you commission. I bought one and installed it and love it. I set mine up different so I can drive on one stick but the programming and size are exceptional. Your setup is what lead to success using it. Thank you.

      Thanks! Glad I could help. It is a neat little controller - you will see it again in a future video on a special project.

    That’s pretty cool. I kinda like these gaming style controllers. I imaging they could have 20+ functions if you know what you’re doing and can tweak the hardware/firmware.

    That is pretty cool and for the price and being an 8 channel radio they should sell quite a few of these guys! kind of hard to believe they can cram all that into those small things and be so cheap. I remember back when an 8 channel radio weighed like 12 lbs and cost big bucks!!!

    Looks like my Kid's Gaming Controller... maybe I can get him into rc with one!! 😊
    I'm an Old Fart and love my Old Fart big Transmitter. 😝 That and I don't have any Phone Service. Just my Wife's. So I don't always have WiFi, and that would be a problem...
    But I like the concept! I would love to try the RadioLink that you featured earlier (can't remember if it's 8, 12, or 18 Channels). Money is the issue....
    I just sent YOU a bunch of it!! 😉🤪

    Hi Bob. I bought a Tamiya king hauler truck. And it was very easy to build according to your instructions. Many thanks for that. My remote control, which I bought together with, gives me some challenges T8FB-bt 8 ch. I can steer well and the horn also works, but I can't turn on the lights or turn the truck on/off on the remote control. What am I doing wrong. This is my first time building. 54 years from Denmark Many thanks for all your videos.

      I tried to set up that same radio and could not make it work. I think they had a bug in the original software that prevented the dual rate settings from working properly. You might try to update the transmitter to the newest firmware and see if that helps. Then reprogram and re-map.

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks for your help.. after update i got it to work well. Now i can turn the light on on my remote control. Lot of fun, first time i build. Thank again.

      Been in the R2 builders since the beginning. Have a nice R2, been on stage with Anthony Daniels and done lots of jobs with him for other companies. This is my R2: aviationweek.com/atw-photo-gallery-ana-star-wars-r2-d2-themed-787-9

    It appears that the steering servo is working in reverse(i.e. truck will indicate right turn but actually tern left)

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, needs to have steering reversed but did not bother with this radio since the actual truck will be getting a different radio.

    Can I use a 3S lipo on the Tamiya MFU and Grand hauler? P.S. Great Channel 👍

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  Před 2 lety +1

      No on the 3s. Will toast an MFC in seconds. You can use a 2s but the MFC does not have a low voltage cutoff so if you do put a lipo low voltage alarm on the battery.
