I never thought of using it for that. That's really cool. I believe the "notch" feature you are referring to is called a "pin vise" and is a pretty damned cool feature for holding small objects as well.
Shank me
Yeah that's what the use of it is for I would not trust holding something like that cuz one mess up you may just run your fingers along that blade
â@@borttorbbq2556that's why you wear a hardhat.
â@@jamIam6548 đ€Ł
The leatherman crunch was designed to hold the t shank of jig saw blades. They just so happen to hold the reciprocating blades as well
This guy made a whole channel off reading the instructions all of us throw away. Thatâs actually brilliant.

Leatherman Surge is also able to hold this
That's actually awesome!!
Picks the deadest piece of wood
Going to cut notches into all the locking pliers that I have. Thanks for the demonstration
I did similar..also engineer makes one that has them already
Thatâs cheating bro
@@Edwxrd69 nah thatâs saving money đ
â@@Edwxrd69 I find it funny that not one of you bigots can figure out how to center the symbol in the circle lmao very emblematic of the fridge temp iq required to hate queer people
Actually a sick idea
Ah yes, this will be perfect for the times when I'm out in the woods with my reciprocating saw blade but I forgot my reciprocating saw.
Good option for an emergency ruck. Get to lose the weight of a full size saw. Carry a wood blade and a metal blade. But honestly most folks have a dedicated folder saw....still a cool multi tool though! Vise grips are nice grips. đ€
Blades are pretty small and lightweight, not a bad idea.
@@gregoryhall2967but a Silkysaw is a better idea.
LOL you can carry a 3-ft long bow saw blade and do three times the work. It won't cost you $40 like a pack of sawzall blades. And it's actually designed to be used by human strength not a saw.
It would be great if you're packing light....how is the knife blade on this ?
that's it. I'm buying it.
Lol, it's a good one for sure.
Yep... same thing I said lol.
@@maxlvledc or just grind the groove on the tool you already have dude it's literally just two grooves
My old leatherman died after a year of daily driving. Been a few years since I bought a new one. Definitely considering this one, if only as a party trick to show my crew. Lol
@@moisesotero9709 the Crunch is the only Leatherman with locking pliers. That's the difference
You got to respect them lol. They keep finding ways to make the multi-tool better and more useful while keeping the classic design for the most part. I dunno... I think it's impressive. Thx for sharing.
That multi tool is more diversified than my job history
I love vice grips, and zip ties đ
I discovered it two days ago and now it's everywhere on my feed đ€Ł shame it's mostly unavailable in Europe, I'd get one immediately
Damn assault tools
â@@jaycobtrevorson1866"full auto attack and assault implement"
Youâve just got to love Leatherman! I collect EDC knives and have quite a few. The knife that I use everyday, multiple times a day however is the one on my leather Free P4. Itâs really that essential
I can think of almost no situation where this would ever be useful or where I wouldn't have a tool better suited to the job already on hand
like a pruning saw that is designed to do this exact thing.
@@Stackali Which does a much better job of it too.
Had mine since the late nineties such an awesome tool been on all of the deployments!
Had a Built-in bit driver decades before any other tool! Lol
Never heard ofbthis tool until ten minutes ago. This is my second "crunch" video today. I love this tool. What a genius item.
IKR? Tim Leatherman was a Genius.
That's freaking cool!
I was like âdude thatâs not gonna hold anythingâ but Iâm thankful I was proven wrong thatâs an awesome little tool
Wow that works surprisingly well.
Nah you just made me want them even more
Seen other pliers with the same head design Leatherman is top notch
This video was what convinced me to by the Crunch. Itâs my favorite leatherman right now
Seen lots of videos of this tool, and no one actually using it thanks for actually using it đ
I have an ichiban and a folding 21 boreal. I want that now. if only Christmas wasn't so soon.
Wow. This works so much better than I would have guessed!
Use my Leatherman multi-tool all the time at my work, so reliable and durable. Wish I had the crunch but I haven't gotten around to getting one.
Love my crunch. Had it for 20+ years now
Thank you for the demonstration, I saw someone putting the different blades on but never used itđ
This would be incredibly useful for a backpacker who uses a wood stove, like me!
Far better than having to carry a separate folding saw
Thatâs pretty clever, useful and amazing.
OK thatâs very impressive!
I've just bought one for myself and received it yesterday. Best multitool (as a second tool for a standard one) I can imagine! Have no idea why they stopped production of these
That's honestly impressive
Edc guys be like:
Leatherman has always been top notch
What rotten, dry , soft and ready to be cut with a butter knife log ? đ
Oh man I hope they didnât discontinue these
Finally a real multi tool saw
got my first leatherman surge in the army about a year ago & itâs still running strong, iâll always stand by leatherman
Thatâs handy
That is actually sick
That's actually impressive
Truly a MULTI-Tool
Old enough to actually enjoy watching this whole video
Thatâs so awesome!!!! Great video!!!
A new use for all my Vise Grips at home. Thanx Mr. Smart Manđđ
When youâre stranded in the forest and all you have is your leatherman, just go to the nearest reciprocating saw blade tree and pick one off and now you can use your leatherman as a saw
Dang, now I REALLY need the Crunch for my EDC+Bugout survival kit
That's nuts. I like it.
Bro I only own a wrench and 2 screwdrivers now I need this too even tho I dont even need it lol
Lols
Yea i carry saw blades in my pocket all the time
Mind blown. It had me thinking should I buy the Crunch or Surge just for that medium sized wood saw capability.
that Diablo blade was putting in some work on that log.
I wish they sold this multitool on Amazon
NGL I was so proud of you for saying that you turned it into a handle and not "into a saw".
Because Iâm always carrying spare saw blades on me with my multi toolâŠ
I carry t shanks in my wallet lmao
Excellent, thank you!
These diablo demolition blades last forever. I have the more general purpose one with a closer tooth pitch, but it's still going well since i boight the saw about half a year ago.
I'm definitely going to replace it with another diablo when it's done
Milwaukee makes some really sick ones as well, their Torch and Wrecker thick carbide blades are on par with Diablo. I use both Dialbo and Milwaukee almost every day, the thicker carbide ones they came out with in the past few years are insanely strong and effective compared to standard demo blades. Diablo just came out with a new one that's shaped like a Wood or Demo blade but is rated for Thick Metal, has two or three different size teeth on it, super durable, crazy good for wood and metal equally. I also highly recommend the Milwaukee Torch "Nitrous" and Diablo Steel Demon "Amp'd" 7 or 8 Tpi Thick Metal. The "Amp'd" or "Nitrous" means they have this new coating on them that self lubricates, keeps it cooler running, and protects the carbide teeth from over heating. Even though they are technically made for thick metal they are equally excellent on wood and just about any material imaginable, fairly expensive but 100% worth it. I cut out residential windows everyday made of various materials and used to fly through blades but these newer carbide ones probably last me 20 or 30 times as long as the old blades I used to buy.
Was a bit of a rant I fuckin love my M18 Fuel Sawzall â€ïž đ
@@Mizzle420420 Even if they are 5x more expensive, sounds like getting 30x more work out of a blade is quite a bargain. I believe you too.
I'm not using my saw every day but i'm yet to have to replace mine at all and it still cuts perfectly fine.
The makita blade that came with it didn't dull too quickly but i bent it, and i reckon you could run these diablo blades over with a tank and they'd spring back to being straight again
Leatherman has a multito that actually has a place to use saws all blades. And it locks them in.
well.... ya learn something new everyday! That's pretty cool! thanks for sharing!
That is actually pretty cool. I would totally use that all the time.
Wow that is impressive!
Looks dangerous but awesomely cool.
That kicks ass
Ok yeah that saw gripping feature is really fucking cool
Thatâs pretty cool đđ»
*man stuck in life or death survival situation* "wait let me grab my sawzall blades!"
It does SawzALL!
Insert Nestle Crunch jingle
Thats craaaaaaaaaazy
Iâm actually amazed.
Flat face visegrip with a grove in the middle of top and bottom jaws will hold it even better. I managed to cut a piece of steel. Cheers
Cool, now I just need to add a bunch of saw blades to my EDC...
That's actually pretty effective! Cool
Thats pretty good.
Always been the best in the field đ
Sick I want one! Or 2!
letharman sales just went up %100
đ, just imagine If I had access to their IG and YT account.
Just changed the game.
Listen here folks! With only a Leatherman Crunch...I just sawed a boat in half!
But why?
Really strong tool
I'll be honest, I was sceptical, but that's damn cool
This is a brilliant attachment! something i would genuinely use.
Stop lying
@@mexicaninjafredfred What a bizarre comment. Some of us actually use tools, unlike yourself who just seems to be one.
â@@jamesphlames7498 You would actively use this over a folding saw?
Okay mall ninja đ€Ł
Thiz a super game changer for light outdoor edc.
Now thatâs a multi tool I can get behind
Dude that's so cool
Honestly, a leatherman squirt is all I really need day to day. But damn i wouldn't mind having this too!
Yea... maybe try it on a not rotten one next time.
I love how sharp that blade is mmmmm.
Magnificent! đđđđŻ
I have... always wished I could do that.
I'm genuinely impressed with the locking strength though, I feel like that's immense pressure for such a small area to grip.
Not bad actually...the angle helps a lot.
Now THATS a multi tool. Very nice
I have used small $3 vice grip plyers for the same thing. clamped on the sides instead of vertical
I am not a huge craftsman but I Need one of these
Well, let's just hope operator's hand won't slip from multitool onto sawblade, especially when it'll get wet.
But, I'm pretty sure it will - due to geometry and other "science stuff".
fantastic trick!!
Works better with T-shank..but still is awesome.
Awesome!
Its beautiful
I didn't know I needed this
Really cool never knew that!
Fine, I'll get on. Very cool.
I was always on the fence about getting this but you officially made me buy it rn, instantly subbed
Let me know what you think, the crunch is one of those unique tools that nothing else can replace
Why? Just buy a saw you'd have to carry the blade anyway
