    @upbeek1 Thank you for your comment upbeek1 I'm glad you like it, as here in the UK I do hope it takes off like it did back in the day, it used to come around, then slow down, only to come back around again, it all depends on various folk & what finish they desire, I think, when done properly, looks amazing on ceilings especially.

Ild like to do a comb at 12/8 or 6/8 and finishup with a 4-6 at the trim. its an old house so I want to give it that old look. got any suggestions for an old house? can I make a comb cause I can't locate any.

    Hi Dale
    I am in the US and just ordered your combs. Can't wait to get them! I would like to know if you can suggest a compound that I can buy here since Wondertex Premier 5 is not available here. Thank you in advance. PS Love the videos!

      +1105Reader Hi there Walter
      At the moment the texturing products (wondertex & artex) is so far only available in the UK, but many texture practitioners in the US & Canada use various drywall compounds and I am still enquiring to them which they find the best for comb patterns. I will keep you updated with progress, and it would be great if you could also let us know which compound you find useful. I have just sent out your comb tools this morning, (and your 2 free DVD's) and have applied the tracking info for the comb tools, via paypal so you should soon receive a notification
      Thanks for commenting. Have a great day

    What kind of mixture is that you're rolling onto the ceiling? I'm gonna experiment with white latex paint and joint compound

    • @Artexing
      @Artexing  Před 10 lety

      There is a renowned mud but is onLy available in the UK. It is called WONDERTEX. For Canada & USA here is a related article whereas practitioners have experimented with using comb tools to create patterns & effects.

      I agree...never paint texture afterwards with vinyl silk, loos so tacky. And especially if the finished texture pattern looks rubbish once completed
      Thanks for commenting

  • @Artexing

    You have to be careful about removing 'old' texture as this may contain asbestos, which is banned in building materials since 1989 here in the UK, (also banned in the States & Canada) whereas you have to call in asbestos removal professionals' if the texture is old & your not sure when it was done within that home.
