This is the kind of thing where, particularly living in Canada (or basically anywhere other than the US), it is going to be easier for me to design this and 3D print it. All it has to be is something that contours the drill, with enough relief for tape, and yet can hold a few rare earth magnets. It surprises me that, as far as I can see, nobody has already added this to Thingiverse. There are magnetic bit a drill holders on thingi. So if there is anything that will hold anything to a drill you have, on Thingi, it would be child's play to remix it to something that is flat for screws.
Don't have any double sided tape? Try the two pieces of masking tape glued together, that will hold wood together that is going through a planer!
Ryobi was the first to use a magnet plate, back when Ryobi was still blue.
I have always thought that that was a pretty cool feature.
I still have & use that Ryobi drill. It also has integral 2-way level bubbles, another unique feature. It is these little aids that make work so much easier.

Yeahhh, thats right. Even that generation of drills were solid. Its motor is tight to the fame housing and handle, so it doesn't wabble. Can't really say anything genuinely bad about it.
I remember! At the time that was the only tool platform I could afford😂
Thanks mate. All these things around that are useful and I had no idea existed.
I'm ready to go back to high school now.
Ron, great video
Thanks Paul!
