I fast a few days per week.
I wake up about 1 hour prior to fajr, shower (room temperature).
Rolled oats mixed with varieties of nuts, seeds and dried fruit for sahoor.
I jog or take brisk walk after asar. Push ups, dumbbells plus a few other regimes to burn fat, muscle and strength building.
Water + dates for iftar. Very small rice/noodle with lots of fresh veg + some eggs/fish or once in a while some meat after maghrib.
    Repeat.
Results - lean body, flat tummy. Healthy

@@OptimizedMuslim Thank you for words of encouragement. My routine takes some effort but very doable for everyone who has no physical disability. The hardest part is to start. Once you get into the routine, it becomes... well, routine.
However nothing beats living off the grid on an olive + almond farm. Water is from the rain. 2 hours per night of elecrity from a generator. No noise except from the generator for 2 hour per day. Other sounds are from birds and insects with occasional sound of owls and wild boars at night. It's pitch black at night but decorated with billions of stars in the sky with milky way spectacularly on display. Nearest village is 5km away. Next door neighbours are half a km away.
As winter approaches, woods for fireplace must be sawn manually. Almonds & olives have to be harvested by hands, normally in Novembers. No machines involved. Hard work but very rewarding. On top of the hard manual labour, I gain a six-pack abdomen in less than 3 months without gym membership 😁

Not just scholars. Muslims in general. We got to eat healthily . A lot of it is around the food eaten and not exercise. Cut out sugar, reduce Carbo loafing. Eat less per meal. Or eat six smaller meals per day. Greens veggies. Eat more white meat. You will see the results Insha'Allah. Hey even see a dietitian.

It's becoming worse with the growing cultural trend of being a "foodie". People think it's an achievement to keep tabs on all the latest food options and restaurants. It's like one of the easiest thing your nafs draws you to i.e. eating. It's nothing to be proud of. It’s not just about activity it’s also about gluttony. In Islam you’re supposed to eat to satiate yourself, not to fill your belly up until you feel sick. Just look at how Muslims eat during Ramadan, it completely defeats the purpose. To fast all day only to feast upon many feasts from sun down until fajr … May Allah swt guide us and forgive us for our shortcomings.

The best thing anyone can do is to cut out sugar and all processed fat/ (vegetable oil, margarine, etc). I only use 3 types of fats/oils for cooking: pure ghee, pure butter and extra virgin olive oil. Those are more expensive than other cancer-causing frying oils, so you’ll learn to use a smaller amount for cooking. As for sugar, avoid it, or if you must, use coconut sugar as it doesn’t raise insulin like regular sugar. I don’t keep sugar in my home, I got used to stevia and monkfruit sweetener for my coffee and tea. Eat more fruits and veges. I also practice intermittent fasting daily and eat twice a day, brunch and dinner. It makes Ramadan so easy because I’m used to going many hours without food after waking up.
