Sario Riffs 2.3: Justice for Cassie (and Nadia)!

Why, oh why, didn't they do The Departure?
Cassie (and Nadia Nascimento) was barely present in the show. Lines that should have been hers frequently went to Rachel; she only got two episodes focused on her character (one borrowed from a Rachel book, but Rachel stays pretty involved in the narrative). There are at least a few apparent reaction shots where it seems lines may have been shot and removed in editing.
Listen, I am clearly not the best person to talk about this. And this series by design is mostly made up of humorous hyperbole, unscripted stream-of-consciousness ranting, and satirical "conspiracy" theorizing. But in this case, amidst all the jokes, I think it's still worth a serious look at the disservice done to the character of Cassie and the actress that portrayed her--whatever the reason.
Representation matters. Be nice.
