The most financially sound way to plan a wedding is not what you think,” Hormozi said. He explained that you shouldn’t be “asking for gifts or having some register where everyone buys trinkets you’ll never use. Instead, consider selling tickets to your wedding that cover the cost of every single person you want.”
The best way to plan a wedding is just not to get married at all (at least in the US, if you are a man - everything is set up against you, unless she is the one making 5x more than you do and if you are in 0.01% of couples :)
This is kinda how Japanese weddings operate. You’re invited and you give a cash gift then get a small gift in return.

One of the best podcasts I've listened to. You asked amazing questions, Greg.
Thanks! 🙏🏼
This conversation hit so many vital points that don’t get address often.
First, Alex makes it clear that most people either haven’t done or won’t spend time gaining experts skills in their business.
I stepped back from daily social posting and other activities that weren’t driving business.
I got a ton of messages from people asking “What happened?”
Few seemed understand why I am taking time to document and systemize my process for my target clients. I really appreciate Alex saying, “You may have less business or less sales at first, but the result I’ll be a much higher ticket offer to a better client avatar.”
The levels concept of what to focus on and WHEN was very insightful.
Thanks❤
Appreciate it.
Great interview! Every time Alex speaks my mind is 🤯
Jesus christ every time I listen to Alex I just can't understand how he packs so much information into everything he says and also how no one comes near to the value he gives out. The only other person that comes a little close is Tim Ferris in 4 hour work week. Go Hormozi Nation 🎉
Depth for sure
This is one of the best interviews I have ever watched. 🚀@28:40 when they opened the book, I grabbed my book 📖 to follow along, 🤓lol.
Glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorites as well.
*“Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.”* ― Alex Hormozi
The quote is from Epiectutus, the Stoic philosopher and not from Alex! (just sayin..)
Greg, I’d say this is Top 3 best interviews in terms of value 💥 I’ve seen on YT (and I spend a lot of time consuming this exact kind of content). Alex is brilliant business mind and so inspiring…well done!!! And, thanks for all you do, brother.
Appreciate that. I had a blast with Alex. He's a great dude and so wise. I eat up his content too :)
@@gregoryjhickman which are the other 2 please share
@@DanishAshrafi Other 2 what?
@@gregoryjhickman He's asking @Rob Jacomen what other 2 interviews made his Top 3 in terms of value.
Hey buddy!!! Please please tell me what the other three interviewers are?
Im in the U.K. and had to pay roughly $60 US for the book. Wish is was 0.99 here 😭
What are the odds? Today I downloaded $100M offer.... Dang Man
This is tremendous value and at the same time so simple and basic but most of us don't get it. Alex keeps on stressing the value of "Value", and we all practice this in our daily lives but not in our businesses. If someone needs to have brain surgery then that person isn't going to go to a surgeon who does ALL kinds of surgeries because we KNOW how risky that's for us. But we are telling our potential clients that we will do whatever the client wants instead of saying " I only do brain surgery ", and i am a damn good brain surgeon who will fix what ails you.
Exactly!
By the way, I'm not a brain surgeon but I can help avoid them by asking the right questions, and am damned good at helping you fix what ails you. Intrigued enough? You know what to do.
Hey
Two legends in the same room !
I started following Alex like 6 months ago and I think he had a couple thousand followers. Look at his following now as proof of his expertise in marketing. Dude’s really cool and intelligent
Indeed he is. Great guy too.
Absolutely Incredible
Awesome interview. There is tens of thousands of dollars in value in this 53 minutes.
Great information and insight thank you so much
Thanks, Greg! Best video interview & content EVER! Alex is 🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 all value... and zero ads is nice too :)
Woah this is so goldd... Thanks Greg for bringing this up, love the concepts of Alex
For sure, we have so many similarities in beliefs that I just love how he articulates things.
This is gold!
Amazing format Greg! You made complex topics easily digested with clever sounds and focus points throughout the video.
I got to say, this was a great follow-up after reading 100M offers several times while implementing it this last year.
"Sometimes we don't need to be taught - we need to be reminded" ;)
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
outstanding interview. thanks a lot and greaatings from germany!
Thanks
thank you so much
Hormozi is crushing
31:05 - POV Alex’s brain working so fast it’s breaking Zoom
LOL yup!
I love Hormozi!
Crowd favorite for sure. 😉
My man love this see you in the group
Look forward to it.
Amazing
Great interview Greg 👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks!
Damnnn this video is soo good!
Great interview Greg.
Thanks bro!
BOOOOMBSSSS 🔥🔥🔥
Great interview. Thanks!
Thank you very much! What was your biggest takeaway?
@@gregoryjhickman Welcome. Takeaways are that I should read John Warrillow's Built To Sell book. Just finished it 10 mins ago, it helped me understand some of the thought process more, like how Alex's collateralized consumables idea is like John's sunk cost consumables idea. Also the takeaway of teachable vs. valuable i.e. productizing your service was covered in the book more in depth.
Fire masterclass beginners
Appreciate that
It's 6:30 a.m where I live and I have been watching this continuously for the past 3 hours, making notes, playing back and forth. I am kind of slow..
Anyways huge amount of value that I got in a single stretch. Thanks Mr. Greg. Appreciate your valuable questions on our behalf.
And HOW did you spend your first million, Sai?
@@wexplo15 I have to earn it first to spend it 🙃
holy, this is way too much I need a moment
Alex has used Starbucks as an example before - what’s the customer surplus here? Sense of novelty/luxury experience? Thanks!
Very good point. Also not clear how it was done with the gym.
Starbucks provides convenience and consistency. You get your order FAST, even during the morning rush, at any Starbucks. The coffee isn’t amazing but it’s *reliably* good over many locations and times that people go.
What was the name of the Book he mentioned on 9:15? didn't find it on Amazon
Built to sell
Fuck that's gold right there
Imagine the book! You should get it $100 Million Offer
#RichesInTheNiches
Amen

Hey Greg, your link in bio is not working
which link in bio? Thanks!
What PROOF is there that Alex has done that much in $$ that he claims to have done?
For starters the press release about the sale of his business for $40 million...
@@gregoryjhickman you can pay for any type of press release. Inc, Forbes, etc. They dont verify claims.
I love Alex but he speaks way too fast. I feel it's like rushing to catch a speed train.
TLDR: Lie to your clients.
Not sure how you got that from the interview but I will say many people took some of the principles of the book too far that can lead to unmet expectations
I trust you @alex harmozi
