Those of us who are discerning have never been taken in by the oversized blazer look which always looks ridiculous and sloppy. Very fashion victim. I have my blazers made bespoke and have always worn something more fitted. Glad to see it is making a return.
Oversized blazers are a trend. I almost see them as an ingenious way for businesses to sell you something that took little to no tailoring and marketing it as cool. Good tailoring will always look expensive and classic.
“Time for a bit of a change” happens every season and some women can be pressured into buying more clothes instead of being smart and investing their hard earned cash. There’s a certain number of good quality essential wardrobe pieces a woman should have in her wardrobe and then that’s it. Stop the madness!
As someone with broader shoulders to the rest of my body i wear double breasted blazers that are supposed to be fitted but not too fitted so they look kind of loose but there's a subtle bringing in of the waist, it means i fit whatever trend is going on and even classic. i never bought the straight boxy blazers nor am i getting these padded ones. Yours look beautiful, of course i should have know you'd choose the sensible ones as I've seen some ridiculous take on this new trend, i love how when something trends brands start going overboard to set themselves apart, yours looks like what stores can still sell after the hype is over My current blazers with simple padding look (on my body) like these extra padded ones do on you.
