Craig! That thing is WICKED!!! You should also check out a set of copper header gaskets! They're the last gasket you'll ever need! Idk how they compare to the Remflex gaskets, but they're a single piece of copper sheet cut into the proper shape, and they sealed up the SUPER warped exhaust manifolds on my efi 460 when nothing else could!
The Cerbinator wing is awesome. I've wanted to get one for my Fox Vert since he started making them. I'm glad I didn't get one then because now he has a center cut version as well, I'll get that one someday!

If you want to really put an end to header problems you need to get some with thicker flanges. The thickest I know of is L&L, 1/2" flange.
Remflex is still a composite gasket it’s just high crush. I have them on my 428 in my ultimate highboy and they have been good. But it’s nothing like that small block! I actually ran them on our 7.3 mustang drag car because the headers I made have a little warp in them. And they take 150+ psi of back pressure for a good while before they blow out. Maybe 10 passes or so. Pretty impressed.

Funny watching from the floor view. Either floor flexing or big air leak between carpet and shifter. Was waiting for carpet to fly away 😂😂😂😂
On the leaking header issue. I believe your composite gasket is only part of the issue. The other part is the header itself. Cheaper headers use a 3/8in flange where as a better quality one would use a 1/2in thick flange. As the Cheaper header heats up it expands more and faster then an 1/2in flanged one. Plus it will warp faster thus creating a path for a leak. The 1/2in thick one will stay flatter under all your heat cycles (aka- 2 step) 😅 I've had to replace a few gaskets on my 1990 5.0 bronco and it was all stock with direct fit manifold replacement headers. And it had a 3/8 in flange as well. So a good MLS gasket and a better header with a 1/2in flange should "solve" your issue. Oh I've also heard some people use ultra high temp silicon ( the one with copper mixed in it) to help "glue" the gasket to the header and head so the composite gasket can seal better and move with the header reducing the change of a leak for a "temporary" fix

One problem with blowing out header gaskets, is your header flanges look to be 3/8 or 7/16. The thin flanges warp over time. Get some good headers with thicker flanges and your problem will go away…
Greg you must skim your headers to make it flat and true. Then you spray copper gasket on your header gasket and bolt it on

You don't even need 400HP. I think to this day the mkost fun car i've ever driven was a cammed and slighty machined head MGB. prbably barely touched 100HP. Also, I second the Remflex gasket recomendation , they're graphite. I dont know if they'll hold up to your beastly motor at the redline though. They do work great in my stock 6200 RPM redline 5.0 with AFR heads though for what that's worth.
On my 2011 5.3 chevy im still running oem manifolds and gaskets and 2step all the time, for the past 2 years still hadnt changed a set of gaskets.

If your not gonna paint the truck might aswell let the wing get some surface rust. Or spot paint it the same color of your truck and then let some spots rust to give it a patina look

Thiker header flanges could help
Make sure to get a cover for the bed, the wing won’t be fully functional due to a negative pressure zone inside the bed
have you tried to have the headers surface machined flat. I have seen that being a problem before.
Remflex is very good. One vote for gas tank relocation and a bedliner floor for easy clean.

Brake fluid is capable of stripping paint so if it really did spill into the carpet I would take the carpet out and fully clean it up. Trying to clean it up from the top is wishful thinking IMO. Thankfully beating on it while not running right didn't result in getting blown up part 2. Still sounds freaking amazing!

Those header flanges are probably warped, try doubling up the felpro gaskets.
Where did you find 5x5.5 aero wheels, or did you do 5x5 adapters?
Hey Craig. I’m sure you already know this but brake fluid will eat and rust metal. If I were you I would pull the carpet out of the truck and power wash it and clean the floor pan real good so it doesn’t rust.
Why do you have all those wires showing near the pedals? You usually clean them up
You have some cool stuff but that rear wing is a carbuncle. Use the steel for patch welding.

Probably already have one, but a return fuel line for a carburetor keeps a supply of cool fuel running through thr carburetor.
I use a brass or copper gasket on my 347 stroker and have never had any problems
If that was break fluid that spilt you need to get that carpet out and clean the metal. It will rust quick.

Rust/patina the spolier then clearcoat it.
Try copper header gaskets.
If u place alittle gasket maker on header gaskets before u install that may stop your leak after u get your headers milled so they are flat think they maybe alittle worpped

I am not happy with my remflex…. Bout to swap back to felpro and see if that makes the difference. Be sure and keep us informed when you swap to remflex and let us know how it performs.
The remflex is suuuuuuuuuper fragile too. Don’t drop it and make sure it never bends at all!!!!

It sounded like to either had a header leak or plug wire off after you changed the header gasket and before the two step.
