    I thought this was about a storage magazine not about you running or your nuts. Or your trails. Then you finally show inside and all I hear is about is your fireworks. Would have been nice to hear about the magazine like what it's made of how it's made you know stupid stuff like that.

      For a type 4 magazine as mine is..yes, but it would have to be lined with plywood on the inside & there can not be any nails or screws exposed on the inside...nothing that can spark, then you have to have the heavy door with hooded locks up to ATF standards. You have to use 5 pin padlocks. My magazine has been ATF approved since 2014. Refer to the ATF orange book for specifications!

    I have been a pyro for ever and one thing i never do is bring any firework into the house. I do have a shed where i store my fireworks. I keep all my stash in the shed with masive locks..Safety and where nobody can get to them is my biggest concern..Also most of my stash gets displayed the day or next day.. I do love the shed you have..

      My supplier had a few left last year. Don't know about this year. They were re-packaged & came 10 in a box. It may be a good time to stock up on 60 gram canister shells. My supplier says that the ATF made them put the 60 gram Cans canister shells from Dominator on hold along with one other 60 gram shell. I bet there are more to come, maybe all 60 gram canister shells could be next. The ATF has new marching orders this year. They are cracking down on a lot of stuff & also putting those of us who have Federal licenses to purchase 1.3 professional grade fireworks under a lot more scrutiny. I have a short video coming up tonight about this!

      No, it was built by a guy that is no longer in the pytotechnics business. their daughter & her husband now own the business but they only sell 1.4 & 1.3 wholesale fireworks & no longer do mortar racks, shoot trailers & magazines. I am sure there is somebody out there that does.

    Can those types of magazine can used for consumer fireworks too aka 1.4G?

    How much did Kastner charge for the magazine? I'm looking for pricing on magazines.

    • @coasterzeke
      @coasterzeke  Před 10 lety

      Ted charged me about $1200.00, but I've known them for a long time so it was more of a favor for him to do it for that price. If you get one that's built by people who have been in the fireworks for a long time & who have built other magazines, the ATF will probably never question it, but they will want to see it when they come to review your paperwork & records....usually about once every three years.

    Is there an age requirement for obtaining a license, and was your magazine deemed acceptable by the ATF agent that came by?

    • @coasterzeke
      @coasterzeke  Před 8 lety

      I'm not sure on the age. It would be 18 or 21, probably 18. My magazine is now in use for storing both 1.4 & 1.3 . It was approved by the agent that came by to do my renewal. She approved it at that time. It's a type 4 magazine which means 1.3 can be mixed, color & salutes, but not all salutes. An all salute magazine is a type 3 with further requirements. You must keep an inventory record of every 1.3 item in that magazine & update it any time that changes. For 1.4, no. The ATF agent does not care about the consumer firework items, just those classified as 1.3 .

      coasterzeke I see, well I appreciate the thorough reply! Thanks and enjoy your license I do think it is 21 based on a few other replies so I have a year to wait.

    How was your experience with Kastner? I am assuming you had contingency with them? I am in Iowa and interested in finding a partner for ATF license. Do you have any experience with any other suppliers in the area? Thanks

      I know it is 3 years too late for an answer, I as well live in Iowa, but near Omaha, I use Midwest Pyrotechnics out of Blair, NE, for my contingency storage & distributor. If you are within a 2 hour drive from Blair, NE you can contact them & they are very helpful & assist with getting your ATF Type 54 license. Very knowledgeable & professional people.
