- It’s been 30 years since Tia Carrere played the ultimate rock babe opposite Mike Myers in Wayne's World. Now, for the first time in her career, she’s playing a character from her own Filipino culture in the comedy Easter Sunday. The actor, model and Grammy-winning singer joined Tom Power to reflect on upholding her Hawaiian Filipino roots in a Hollywood machine that’s taken a long time to see her for who she really is.

Tia Carrere...my favorite Relic hunter! 🦴🤺🌴🦂⛩🛶👑🪘⚔🪃🏹
She is beautiful and down to earth ..
She's so talented...and beautiful. Proud of her culture. Thank you for this GREAT interview/video. 💖
she is so cool
This was fabulously fabulous. Thank you so much!!
I had no idea Tia was from the Philippines. Can I just say that one of the best Bond girls AND one of the best Bond villains of all time wasn’t actually in a Bond movie. I’m referring to Tia’s character Juno in True Lies. Unforgettable. She was also amazing in Kull the Conqueror even though they diluted the original script (which I’ve read).
Tia is such a cool dude!
Re Wayne's World guitar shop scene: If you "file down the nut" of a guitar it will allow for string buzz not prevent it. Also, they would have to have played that particular guitar or hear it being played to know there was any buzz. Or are they saying it's an inherent issue with Fender guitars?
Does anyone think that there is potential for PBS Kids to make an animated show taking place in Hawaii or Polynesia, and to have this woman star in a role in it? I sure do!
She does villain roles the best.
I'm so proud of my wife Tia she has beautiful cheeks
