Honda S2000 | Paint Correction, Ceramic Coating, and Paint Protection Film

- In this video we are working with @savagegeese to bring this Honda S2000 back to new. This 20 year car looks better than most but it still needs the Chicago Auto Pro touch. The front end of this vehicle was repainted and left behind were some orange peel textures and fish eye's that needed to be sanded and polished out. We then protected the front with XPEL PPF and finished the car with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light.

Even with age, the S2000 looks as modern today as it did when it was released. Still waiting for Honda to come out with the next generation S2000, 3000, 4000 or whatever they want to call it. Hopefully they will in the next few years. And make it as incredible as the previous generation S2000 was (still is)! One of the all time greatest Honda's ever made (aside from the NSX's)

Question. Did a polish on my sisters MX-5 convertible. Got some wax on the softtop that I missed cleaning up and she noticed it a couple of weeks later. Easiest way to remove it? Haven't tried anything yet since I live far away.

The only issue we have so far with that cool boss is it starts rusting stuff such as our tools ect.

Gtechniq Smart Fabric works amazing.
What's the reasoning behind using the blue pad to begin with? I also thought the Honda paint on a S2000 was a very soft paint? I've used that blue pad, and it definitely slings as it doesn't seem to absorb the compounds or polishes well.
This paint was not soft and needed a heavy correction step.
Chicago Auto Pros id love an in depth video about a car with super soft paint such as Subaru
Do you guys prefer the purple tape over 3m yellow automotive?
I actually like the yellow tape better. Leaves less adhesive behind.

They did apply a ceramic
DavesGenny yeah I saw I was just asking in general would you apply ceramic to a car if you don’t have access to heat lamps. I’m considering it but don’t have access to a heat lamp set up
@@michaeldesarno9537 typically for ceramic it is recommended that you park the car in an enclosed space such as a garage for at least 24 hours. You don't need heat lamps for ceramic coatings.

Yes! as DavesGenny stated, most coatings such as crystal syrum light dont require a heatlamp, just follow curing directions stated by the manufacturer.

that bodyshop did a shit job repainting in. Colour match was good, but that orange peel and over spray was bad. Good job guys !
