If you have the Walmart app you can check prices if there’s a barcode. Also the walmart closest to us sucks! We never have anything good anymore. Before the rona I found my cebu blue & a couple other good finds but now there’s just nothing and I end up emptying out the pots full of water!

Yeah I’m glad you found the Alocasia! I have found that Home Depot has had a much better supply of more hard to find plants! A lot of proven winners like 2 foot tall frydek! I reported my Azlanni it had the lil cloth net thing! But it did have 3 corms! So I’ll be growing more I love the pink on the veins!! Costa farms also has another new Alocasia and the monstera standleyana I hope I find that one soon! I don’t remember what plant tuber found them I think was in FL. Have a great day! :)

Hey hii, Great haul. Loved all the supplies you bought. Just a heads up. I highly recommend you filter the suphur water before spraying through pressure pump spray. It clogs, and it'll be a hassle to clean.🫶🏻

I spotted that terrarium at WM online and I want it so bad. I made my 1st terrarium with a mini fittonia and it’s doing so great! I almost killed it and had to cut it way back. I can’t believe it lived bc I’m a plant newby.
All the big box stores in your area have such good things. You got some great buys! My Walmart had most of those pots last fall. I’ve not checked for anything new yet. I do know the plant section is totally empty. Absolutely no plants 😢 Same with Home Depot. Lowes has some new plants but the only one I wanted was a Hoya Wayetii and it was so overwatered I could not lift the pot so I passed on it. I am ready for spring when our local nurseries will start putting out some new plants.
Do you think one of those ganging terrariums would be ok for a small begonia? Idk what kind but it’s small and red/purple random grey green leaves and it’s crisping up but not dry so I figured humidity 🤷♀️ 😬
I need to hit up my nearest Home Depot for that alocasia Azlanii and monstera peru. I was hunting for cebu blue and global green pothos for a while and gave up. My sister recently found the global green for me at Walmart.
Ahhh I know you’re already gone from Walmart but there were more of those white, round, shallow pots you liked behind the 4” pots at 5:19! (Unless they were a bigger size, hard to tell, but they were same design!) I use that pot for my Gloriosum; the lip of it keeps from *crawling over the pot, it circles around instead. I’m looking for another actually for my Plowmanii because I love it so much. I love your shopping videos!

@Melissa.......Do you make a habit of taking all those death cages off of all new plants? I heard one plant tuber say the other day that new roots will just grow around it so no worry......confused to hear that. Do all your big box stores do this method and why if it kills a plant.......that's horrible?? Do you just automatically check all plant buys after 2 weeks or so for these death cages and pull all the roots apart and repot? Could you kindly explain this because I am hearing mixed thoughts on this topic and want to do it right with my plants so they can thrive.......thanks, Melissa! Seeing your plants and how they are always beautiful I value your perspective on this topic :))
It's very controversial and I think there's those people that are against them like me lol and those that are in favor of the growers not necessarily the health of the plants. It is risky removing them but I always do. Most of the time you can see them if you move the soil around a bit with your finger. I give the plant time to acclimate to my home then I'll repot the plant if it really needs it but always with a death plug. Roots can grow through them, but it can keep the soil wet around the rootball for too long. I purchased the new ZZ plant a couple months ago and repotted it on my channel and I show the root plug. The stems were rotting :( If I left the plant in that sopping wet soil it would have gone downhill.

Hello! I’m a new subscriber. When you show us the first plant (Coasta Farms) in your haul are you saying “death plug”? I’m not sure if I’m hearing you correctly. Will you explain this? Thank you!!!!
sure! It also is called a root plug. The plant is started in them as a seedling to help support their growth but they don't get removed. I find with many others that it can cause the plant to suffer down the road. A lot of mass produced plants are being done this way. roots can grow through them but I have found the soil sitting wet for too long at the base. It can be stressful on the plant to pull them off when you repot but I take the risk!

I know some begonia's really favor higher humidity. I the terrarium is more closed it would help hold in humidity more!

Last year, Home Depot had 16-inch resin planter for $30. Now the SAME "Southern Patio resin planter with stand" is $66.

The leaves are pretty dark but I think it appeared darker on camera. In the light they have this beautiful red veining. so pretty! Should I tell!??

Azlanii is my fave Alocasia, got mine for 14 euro but she's not doing so good in my cold house :( Yours is very pretty too!
