I was even under the impression it was an aerated mix and I think there’s a lot of confusion around that. They did put a water warning on their website though.

I love baby plants. There’s something so rewarding about growing them from nothing/hardly a leaf or two and seeing them get big, moving them up pots, moss poles, etc. I rescued a poor three leaf Philo Subhastum for $5 from my big box store (they have a special $5 for baby 4.5cm pot section) and it had been sitting there for weeks on end. Now it’s happily moved up a pot and boasting some bigger beautiful leaves. I love the $5 baby section, I always scout it for good ones!

All these little plugs are too stinkin cayute!! I especially love ordering tiny little plugs because they acclimate and just ship and thrive better compared to mature larger plants that I first bring home. I come back to this shop a lot because of their consistency it can't be beat which is such a rare thing to find on Etsy.
Also, I want you to know that I truly appreciate your honest opinions and if someone running a business cannot handle constructive criticism that's just going to hurt their own success. You are what makes your content so genuine and between the work you put into your plants and this channel, it's just a pretty amazing thing that you do
Thank you 😭 I’ve been feeling a little bummed since all this happened. I agree! I think it was promoted as an aerated mix by everyone even by me and there’s definitely confusion on that. They placed a watering warning on their website at least. And yes!! The plants are soo cute! So happy with everything and can’t wait to order again 😂
I have ordered several plants from them, and am very pleased with the plants I got. I felt they were smaller than I expected as well, but I like the challenge of raising plants from pups.

Sadly I have put myself in a plant ban that hasn't taken yet. I really enjoy your videos! I have ordered from Green Escape this winter and have never had a bad experience (just ordered a Philodendron verrucusom Starter from them). I live in Colorado and they watch the weather and try not to ship during cold spells. Granted they seem to be slow in shipping but I haven't been in a hurry and just watch when the order says the status. Keep up the good work!

I've ordered from Green Escape a few times and although the plants are small (they do have some bigger ones too) they always seem to be great quality. They also have pretty good customer service. They once sent me a wrong plant. They immediately refunded me and let me keep the plant which was fine as it was one I wanted. 😂 And they have a great selection of Alocasia.

I swear by The Green Escape. They only ship on a particular day or two usually. So it might take a week or two to get your plants. But i have yet to have any issues with any of their plants and they are ALWAYS STUNNING!

I Placed An Order From The Green Escape After Learning About It From PlantTuber: All In My Plants. I Ordered A Shivereana Starter And D. Reflector In A 4 Inch Pot. The D. Reflector Was Decent... BUT The Shrivereana Starter Was NOT!!! SHE Was Much Smaller Than What Was Pictured, I WOULDN'T Have Purchased Her At The Price I Paid. The Price Was Lowered Soon After... BUT THE SHIVEREANA Is The Reason I'm Sticking To Buying 4 Inch Potted Plants From The Green Escape!!!
I love getting baby plants and watch them grow. It's so rewarding! And they grow up pretty fast actually. Obviously not to maturity but the leaf size increases relatively quickly if you give them good conditions.

I've ordered quite a few plants from there and really like them. I had a n joy in a pot that was wet and never dried out...(root rot). I will say the starter plants with mesh didn't grow for 4 or so months so after repotting again and taking the mesh off they're growing great!

You 100% have the right to feel the way you do and to say what you said. The way that company reacted to your honest review and critical feedback only makes them look bad. Don’t feel bad. Keep being honest and loving your plants enough to be so sad that some have root rot that you nearly cry on video lol 🫶🏼

Ive ordered from TGE a few times, always had a great experience until my most recent one- I ordered a variegated vanilla orchid, and received one that was entirely unvariegated. I assumed it was an honest, simple mistake, so I reached out to their customer service. Their response was to essentially call me stupid ( not in those words, it was just an undertone ), tell me that the plant will ‘become variegated with age’ ( except I’ve seen much smaller cuttings and plugs of variegated vanilla plants ). I took their word for it. It’s been a few months, my vanilla has grown like a weed, and still not a single sign of variegation.
So I suppose that left a sour taste in my mouth; I think some things with their store can be a bit misleading. But, every other plant I’ve received from them is beautiful and still doing well, so I can’t complain 💚

I have ordered from them before and I just placed another order earlier this week. They are pretty good from my first experience. When they say starter plants oh they mean it 😂 those babies (no pun intended) are little. With that company in your last vid, I appreciate you telling the truth about their soil. Honest reviews are needed and would save ppl from killing their investments.

Very nice to see how your mood enlivened as you checked out your new plants. No doubt these 3 plants will thrive under your expert care. You are not a Plantologist Extraordinaire for nothing! As I mentioned before, I think small plants are a good way to build a collection. Just this morning I was noticing how big my newest maranta has grown since buying it last autumn; I bet it has quadrupled at least from its small start. The Green Escape has always been plant quality dependable. The plug concept bothered me in the beginning because I didn’t think a hard mass around my root base was the best for watering or feeding. However, history has proved them out. They have been just fine

I live in Florida and I can vouch for the company. It was due to the weather this week has been raining and got flooded! There’s gas station that doesn’t have regular gas due to the weather. But that God Friday and today Saturday it hasn’t been raining so far.

I ordered a bunch of "plants" through The Green Escape spring/summer 2022. I had never ordered plants online or on Etsy.
The "plants" I ordered from TGE were overpriced plugs with that death netting around them. I finally figured it out and stopped ordering from them.
I ordered many plants from Etsy last summer. My experience was, the sellers sent out plants that were in bad shape, no one would buy in person! I contacted the seller and told them that, and my money was refunded and I was told to keep the plants.
Lesson learned.

I have the green escape as my one of my favorite etsy shops along with sunshine greens and coollectiveplants. Coollectiveplants is my absolute favorite. I'm always buying from them. I bought 5 plants at 33/34 weeks pregnant and I got induced at 35.😂 I told my sister be sure to bring the plants inside when they arrive and open the boxes. And she even quarantined the new plants!

That's funny I'm waiting on an order from that same shop, I've bought from them a few times and it always takes them a couple weeks to ship but then gets quick once they do. The plants are always lil baby sized which I like personally. Except one of my plants I ordered a Plowmanii and they sent a climbing plant, the leaves look like a Plowmanii, but there was a bunch of empty stem so I had to chop and prop it which is doing now it's fine, I guess a climbing Plowmanii saves room 🤷🏼♀️😂

@@plantsbymelissa yeah good luck with the Ficus, I got a little triggered because I got a baby from a different seller, was obsessed and it just randomly took a nosedive I couldn't fix it 😭 I'll have to buy another and hope the variegation is as good. I have 2 other rubber trees just fine waaahhh. The roots looked fine I'm honestly baffled it just stopped pulling up water and went Iimp, I put it in a glass of water, nothing.
I have bought from this shop twice and it always took about 2 weeks. But I’ve always been very happy with my purchases. 😊

I purchased from Green Escapes back in January. I got three Philo starters. So far they’re doing well. They did take a while to ship and they did have a message about it. I reached out to the seller and she was very responsive and gave me an accurate eta. So I’d buy from them again.

Any nursery is in their busiest time of the year so patience is needed. Sometimes it the carrier is the problem. Everything is slower now.
After watching your vid when it came out, I ordered the California and Alocasia Bisma. and the plant just came in and are huge. The bisma came in like a full plant practically and the california doesn't even fit on my shelf because it's so tall! I'm so glad I watched and order from them. I was so happy to get plant mail haha.

Nice picks. I like Green Escape. They have great selections and I’m a sucker for starter plants. Where is your 4th? They do buy three, get one free. Always sucks me in. I also highly recommend PaperCrane nursery. Best packaging I’ve ever seen and starters are bigger than expected.
Wow, you’d think the soil guys would want to work with you to improve the product, not rage quit. Especially when preventing root rot is one of the major selling points. Appreciate the honest feedback.
I’ve looked on paper crane but haven’t purchased yet 👀 and I didn’t know about the 4th plant 😩 agreed and thank you! They messaged me a couple times to get an understanding but decided to unfollow the next day it definitely says a lot about their character and business. At least they put a water warning on their website. I imagine they’ll change their packaging because it doesn’t say anything about not watering for 10-14 days per their recommendation.

I recently ordered from The Green Escape, too! Their Etsy shop always pulls me in 🤣😭 my cart always has at least 4 of their plants in it but then I talk myself down lmao they’re definitely small plugs but the plants seem super healthy and I like that they have plants I have a hard time finding elsewhere and most of them are a fair price…(can’t lie, some I don’t feel are worth it for the price vs plant size we get though 😂👀) I got the Caramel Marble Black Cardinal mix and it’s sooo pretty ! Can’t wait for it to get bigger 😍

I completely disagree with not removing the mesh plug. I've ordered from them and the plugs and I didn't remove the mesh, at first order hindered the plants growing. That's my experience. Really cool plants, Thank you for the video!
I’m not a fan of plugs at all but I’ll see how they grow for me here. I can always remove once they settle in. I don’t like to mess with the root system right away 🙏🏼
I’ve been so apprehensive to order from the GreenEscape again. My first/last order had spider mites and they didn’t respond to me about it. Everything ended up dying except my japonica that I was able to save somehow. She’s currently thriving though & 4x the size she was when I got her. 🥰

I have ordered dozens and dozens of plants from them. The low prices and B3G4F deal allows you to try out (and potentially kill) lots of plants you might feel awful about if you paid more for a large plant. I’ve gotten pretty much ALL of my Alocasia (except my Variegated Frydek) from them. I will say you will want to check for “death pots”, depending on the plant. Most starters come as peat plugs, but I’ve come across some with plastic or mesh. Overall, I absolutely love The Green Escape.
Also…that Mickey Mouse Alocasia has been the biggest spider mite plant in my collection. I literally keep a beneficial mite sachet on the two I have 24/7/365 (I have a subscription to @NaturesGoodGuys).
