@john tan no... 1N=100g wherever you are. G (gravity) in the other hand is different. On earth you are effected by 1G of force but on moon you are effected by less than 1G. Force a spring exerts on a cube is the same no matter where you are.

I'm impressed with the range of tension settings as well as the magnetic variations. This looks like one of the best cubes for fine tuning in a consistent way. Combine that with the lube alchemy, which impressed me as before, and the tuning becomes extremely personal, but also more consistent than in past cubes. Way to go!
This was very helpful! The "adjustable tension blocks" allow much more consistent tightness on all six centers whilst "traditional screws" are very difficult to set consistently. Whilst 4 tension blocks may be overkill, at least two (with respective 3 levels of micro tuning) are absolutely worth testing. Same for magnets.

I’ve only been to two comps but I cans tell you, there are a lot of adults! But definitely talk to anyone, everyone is so nice and just awesome.
My preference is the same as yours. This setup makes it similar to the GTS 2M in magnetic strength and flexibility.
My setup is
Green nuts,0.6
Yellow magnets
5 drops sub-10 lube(this lube is a vietnam special lube) and 1 drop mlube

N is a unit of measurement of force, Newtons. Basically, this is telling you how strong the tensions are on the connection pieces.

i use yellow springs 0,6 with strong magnets
i use yellow nuts with the clear magnets , very very happy with it

Lol I tried demagnetizing mine and it was unusable just super flimsy and un stable
you said yours was too tight, i have the opposite problem with mine, mine is too flimsy
somehow mine is too lose and I use yellow nuts 0.6 and medium magnets

Is this a new version? My nuts say gan and don't click into place. I bought it in January from amazon.
Because you have an IPG v5 version, not numerical IPG. By the way the X is the shittest cube I've ever bought.

The nuts on my 356x look different. Why? They just turn left to get less and get removed or turn right to get tighter but don't have the 3 different settings.
Edit: I did some research and realized there are two versions of the GAN 356 X. I have the IPG V5 and not the numerical IPG like in this video.
