Don't buy a Mustang if you can't afford the V8. It's as simple as. You don't buy a 316/318 BMW 3 Series either. You either go 6 cylinders and above, or you don't go BMW at all. You don't have to buy flagship models to have a nice car, but at the very least make sure you get the model that defines that particular type of car. 6 cylinders does not define American muscle.
If there's anything I've learned from 1320 it's that there's a huge difference between comment section car guys and real life car guys. For the most part all the real car guys aren't shit talking each other, they're respectful and they're having fun.

I THINK the LT5 32 valve Corvette's top speed was 172 mph. The TransAm Turbo hit 166 mph using the Buick V6 Turbo. Keep in mind these tests were done in California's High Desert which has an altitude between 2,000 ft to 2,950 ft above sea level. Not the optimum conditions for maximum engine output.
Racer 90 or 91 I remember it was somewhere around there, what made that vette so cool back then was the key switch in the center console, "Regular power" or "Full power" that was awesome! I worked at a dealership back in the day and got a chance drive one, it was a complete different car once you set it to full power and sport suspension. Awesome car then...... Yeah I get what you're saying about the altitude thing. Less oxygen, lower performance. I guess they didn't want to spend the extra money to go to the salt flats in Bonneville.

This reminds me of my turbo 4cylinder. The way this v6 stang sounds fits right inbetween a turbo 4 and a turbo 8. Their exhaust setup isn't as aggresive but it performs. Really impressed.
Once they build the 3.7 it could be a beast. They did say the parts were ready to go for the build. It has a stock exhaust that's why it doesn't sound good.
What do you mean almost every boss you see is set up for road courses? Every boss mustang is set up for road courses from the factory. You don't really need to change much of the car if you want to drag race for fun every once in a while, my buddy who owns a boss drag races it all the time and hasn't set the car up in any way towards drag racing.

It's all about how efficient your engine is, how durable the parts in it are and how much boost it can withstand. It's not about how many cylinders you have, it's about how well built your engine is and how much boost you have. Same comparison with an i4 boosted civic and a stang GT as the Hennessy venom GT V8 and the Bugatti grand sport vitesse W16. The venom GT is a V8 running 1,200 HP in a light lotus exige chassis vs a 5,000lb+ 16 cylinder monster running quad turbos. Venom is still faster with less cubic inches of air.
One thing though you have to factor in how much money it takes for that V6 to dump on V8 cars like that, then consider taking that same amount of money and investing into a 5.0. Yes the cool factor of having a sleeper V6 is there but would a Mustang be way faster doing that to a 5.0 for the same money? Either way that car is nice...

The car is turbo by LPF performance in Houston, TX. The owner of the car is the one that made the turbo kit. Props to the owner custom made the turbo for his own sixxer. Btw the car has no exhaust that's why.

Just amazes me how many people hear rag on the 3.7 for sounding like crap, but yet say not one word when they watch a Grand National beat up on V8s and they sound EXACTLY the same!! AMAZING! For a newer modern-day V6 I think it sound awesome, and I love the V8 sound just as much as the next guy.

i bought a v6 mustang (96) for a steal a while back and drove it for a while (old car broke down, friend of a friend practically gave it away, I drove an old jetta before that). it was the fastest thing I'd ever driven. I'm not a racer or anything at all mind you.. i took lots of crap from "racer" guys though.. always getting fucked with on the road. that said, I have a huge soft spot for mustangs now, i totally get the obsession some people have with them. the noise this car made (in the vid) is glorious.. of course mine sounded nothing like that, but the resemblance is there. you can tell it's a stang lol brings back good memories :)

I would have to think this V6 would be much better in the corners than a big V8 and since it already kicks A$$ in a straight line i love its versatility. I put a lowering kit and sway bars on my 2014 V6 and it really clean up the body roll and made it fun as hell in the turns. One more thing that V6 was base with 2.73 gears i can't imagine how much quicker that thing gets with 3.73s or anything better the fuel effeciency gearing. I love it.

In australia we have a ford motor called the barra, and its a 4L i6, comes N/A but you can also get a single turbo version, they're really really good motors
Everyone is missing the real cool point here. The insurance is probably half of what the GT would cost. Consider the initial cost of a V6 with the turbo kit cost much less then a stock GT, and you will save huge on insurance costs. I love it.

The point the haters are missing. 12psi @ 500-600whp with just a turbo and stock internals. With the right tuning I bet you that engine will see 700, 800, maybe 900 HP on a stock block like the Japanese 6 cylinders are capable of.

The car is turbo by LPF performance in Houston, TX. The owner of the car is the one that made the turbo kit. Props to the owner custom made the turbo for his own sixxer. Btw the car has no exhaust that's why.

Just amazes me how many people hear rag on the 3.7 for sounding like crap, but yet say not one word when they watch a Grand National beat up on V8s and they sound EXACTLY the same!! AMAZING! For a newer modern-day V6 I think it sound awesome, and I love the V8 sound just as much as the next guy.

i bought a v6 mustang (96) for a steal a while back and drove it for a while (old car broke down, friend of a friend practically gave it away, I drove an old jetta before that). it was the fastest thing I'd ever driven. I'm not a racer or anything at all mind you.. i took lots of crap from "racer" guys though.. always getting fucked with on the road. that said, I have a huge soft spot for mustangs now, i totally get the obsession some people have with them. the noise this car made (in the vid) is glorious.. of course mine sounded nothing like that, but the resemblance is there. you can tell it's a stang lol brings back good memories :)

im definitely a vette fan, and this is impressive! no hate here, a win is a win... props to the guys that built the stang, actually excited to see how far they take it! personally im a fan of the C6 vettes anyway, I think they were tuned and built for the track, but the C7s were for anybody, don't get me wrong, theyre badass, but give them a year or 2 to fix the little things, im sure the C7s will be back on top in no time, the Zora vette should hurt some feels as well....

does everyone out there only love just going in a straight line fast or does anyone enjoy the fun of dipping in and out of corners fast as well. I would have to think this V6 would be much better in the corners than a big V8 and since it already kicks A$$ in a straight line i love its versatility. I put a lowering kit and sway bars on my 2014 V6 and it really clean up the body roll and made it fun as hell in the turns. One more thing that V6 was base with 2.73 gears i can't imagine how much quicker that thing gets with 3.73s or anything better the fuel effeciency gearing. I love it.

Very cool, its a big V6, import cars have been making huge turbo hp for years on 6cyl motors, might as well in a mustang, that exhaust noise could be tuned to sound more like the stock engine which sounds really good imo

In australia we have a ford motor called the barra, and its a 4L i6, comes N/A but you can also get a single turbo version, they're really really good motors

That V6 is crazy fast, but I would get so annoyed with the sound it makes I would sell it within a month. I love my 5.0 V8 sound!
Everyone is missing the real cool point here. The insurance is probably half of what the GT would cost. Consider the initial cost of a V6 with the turbo kit cost much less then a stock GT, and you will save huge on insurance costs. I love it.

Why u all haten on vette it's still a better car by far. So it lost a drag race. It drives better , looks better , and definitely sounds better. Mustang is cool for what it is just don't think it will hold up.
The point the haters are missing. 12psi @ 500-600whp with just a turbo and stock internals. With the right tuning I bet you that engine will see 700, 800, maybe 900 HP on a stock block like the Japanese 6 cylinders are capable of.
Turbo's change the game of everything. I love muscle cars that use turbos instead of superchargers :-)

I'm at 474 rwhp and that is enough for me. pullied procharged 14 v6 stang. have 12000 miles on it so far and no issues other than excessively melting tires lol
