Tejas has always been a great host for this Hoosier, from El Paso to Dallas and a dozen cities in between with some of the best live music any where in the world.
Serious stuff. Praying that the Lone Star state can resist the invasion happening there now. If Texas falls , so does the nation. Big love from N.J. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.
I saw him recently on Austin City Limits, and of course, he was excellent, but I missed the repartee of him live with a small venue. His stories are wonderful.
Ron ~ thanks for posting. I Was rock n'rolling, new mothering, and just discovering Lyle lovitt 1975 (you're not from Texas, but Texas loves you anyway!) ~ that opened a lot of doors for me.
I first heard this in a listenin' booth at Waterloo Records in Austin in April 2003. I think I got about 3 tracks into it, walked out & laid my money down. Best summer of music. I even shared it with friends in Vancouver, Canada. Spread the word, right? The album is GROWL. Delirium Tremoloes came out about 2 years later & ditto the above. RWH is a fine Texas songwriter & storyteller. ~Too bad the state's run by a doofus - doesn’t do anything for regular Texas folk, but he sure loves those big a$$ TX Oil & Gas donors! 💙#VoteBlue2024💙

There is a hell of a difference between so called rich people and real people. It has little to do with EARNINGS but more of an arrogant way of looking down on people. Many of the so called rich are bankrupt in real dollars and without value to anyone.
Texas! Freedom! To The Republic Of Texas. “ Come and Take It”
He's entirely right about the state of country music today. what an excellent songwriter and storyteller.

Dumbest thing I've ever seen

Growin up in Norman in the 70’s seeing RWH back then.
We had a saying best things to come out of Texas was Bob Wills, Willie Nelson RWH and I-35.
American by birth,Texan by the Grace of God!

What invasion???
@@lisaalbarras3029 He's talking about immigrants and people from California and elsewhere. It's toxic. This song is apolitical

LMFAO 😂😂🤘

Saw Ray Wylie at the Mine Shaft Arlington Texas Live in 1975. Great Performance.

Bad ass song man keep it up thank you man.
National anthem of Texas
Yeah RWH!! Texas is my HOME!
I saw Ray Wylie once - hope to see him again
You go rwh. That's awesome. Love seeing artists having fun
The chord changes make his point. He picks one and he sits on it. If you don't like it, go find one of your own. I love this.
God Bless Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love RWH! Saw him at HANKS in McKiney,TX 2018. BAD ASS
Hell yea preach on brother.. this is real country.. to hell with trashville.
Nashville proudly making rap music for white people that are afraid of black people
This was the Best!!!!
He reminds me of Steve Earle. I like it.
ray man don't never stop
he. is. a unique. artist, ,,no. doubt, ,, entertaining, !!!
YEARS AGO...I WENT TO TEXAS AND NEVER CAME HOME!
I’d rather be a fence post In Texas than the king of Tennessee
I wrote a song about Texas and thought this was a response to it🤣🤣🤣
Both the two best states IMO!
Touché. Well said
When Pantera went World Wide, they had T-Shirts printed up that said "FUCK YOU WE'RE FROM TEXAS!"
all my friends in Iowa this is what we've been missing y'all
I'm a Texan cursed into a Jersey body! God have mercy on me.
Rich Dorak Bless your heart ♥️. But in a good way.. 😉
So be like a Texican, move camp or quit snivlin'! Texas will welcome you.

One time when I was coming back over the border they asked my nationality and I told them I’m Texan. They laughed and just let me walk on through.
Very enjoyable.

Every Native Texan has a little screw you in them. Just the way we are.
And our corporations yeah some of them might be a little corrupt
And our politicians some of them are loco
But when it comes to music my friend
I can't believe that these words aren't as true as St. John the Revelators
I think both Willie Nelson And the rhinestone cowboy David Allen Coe would both enjoy covering this song With Mr. Hubbard
Emery ~
Yep 🎸
you don't need nashville...................screw them ,we are from Texas
Texas is now country home. I got thrown out of a bar in Nashville for cussing mildly.
Republic of Texas
Genius.
Fuckkkkk YEEEHAW. U BANG SIR.
Glad to see this site is still awake 🎸
Hell Yes !!!!!!!! agreed
Amen Brother
The best things as far as music is concerned to ever come out of Nashville were Duane and Gregg Allman. Tell me I'm wrong!
the brothers are from Macon Ga.
@@bartman4556 they were born in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in Daytona, Florida. They did live in Macon, Georgia after Brother Duane formed The Allman Brothers Band.
@@travissmith9451 I did not know that .I figured since Duane was buried there, that was home. Good on you mate.
@@bartman4556 ain't no thing Brother. Macon was home to The Brothers but none of the band members were born in Georgia. Take care.
Their music was the southern Muscle Shoals sound, not a Nashville sound. That didn't influence them even if born there...it's about the music.
Lol. I'm from Tx. You talk about 'ol boy being on speed...
The three that didn't like it musta been from some'rselse.
New Yorkers or Californians probably...😉

Play that music hell yes duck the assembly
Great stuff sorry good music is good, bad is bad. Don't matter where you are from!
Top 3 texans.. ernest tubb waylon Jennings and Frank Robinson
I grew up less than 200 miles from Nashville and modern country is crap!
My idea of country music is what they play XM radio on Outlaw Country station not The Nashville pop country artists.
Funny part is RWH is an Okie, born in Soper, ok.
Wendell Stafford that's a special part of Texas. Oklahoma I love you.
Maybe but he got to Texas as fast as he could.
Once and Okie, always an Okie, but he's pulling off being a Texan for a few minutes anyway..
Will Boyd We close enough to be. Brothers and sisters so it’s all good. Same principles, same way of life.

Texas and California Country beat nashville every day
Bubble Puppy
Felix Fly
Is that a chick playing the drums? Haven't heard this early version before.
That boy ain't from Texas.
Whoever put those words up there needs some practice
Only thing I never liked about Ray Wylie's singing is when he stops (singing).
"country music stopped the day Johnny Cash stopped popping pills?" ... shame on Hubbard.
Nope...He's Right....just sayin.....
Sooo right!
I’m guessing he doesn’t charge for tickets to his show as he doesn’t like rich people. Wouldn’t want to become one of those evil rich people.
That is not what he said.
