What would Tara do: My mom is marrying a man in August that I have always had issues with and a very big issue came up recently, (my little sister is mixed, we have different dads so she is half black) he said the N word in from on my little sister 😔 my sister confided in me and told me that my mom was there and she did not say anything to stand up for her. My boyfriend is also black AND it’s a very important time in history for us to be standing up for what is right... well I talked to my mom and she essentially refuses to talk to him about it 😔 and my little sister is begging me not to say anything because she doesn’t want to cause problems right before their wedding. This has literally been KILLING ME. Do I support my mom and just hope that he says something in front of me so I can educate him? So I go against my sisters wishes and talk to him? I am at a loss 😔

Kristie Sellers how old is your sister? If she is still very adamant that you don’t say anything, maybe respect her wishes. If you do say anything to him what do you think will happen? If he is totally ignorant then you may be able to blow off steam but will any of it even register? I’m sorry this happened to your sister, and I admire your love for her. Hi Tara! Since you spend a decent amount of time in there, have you thought about installing a CO2 detector in your area under the closet? Flushed cheeks and lethargy are symptoms of excess CO2 exposure. I remember you mention the same issues when you were in there for 24 hours. The detectors are available at any hardware store or Target.

What would Tara do: My mom is emotionally abusive to me. My sister is 16 and moved into my Dads house at 13 because my mother was actually hitting her and stuff. Cps got involved yada yada. I am moving into my Dads house. I don't want to have to visit my Mom. I am tired of faking smiles and acting like what she does isn't real. She tells me all the time that its all lies and that shes a good mom. Well now she had another kid. Not with my dad. That kid is going to have to suffer in silence like I did ,and it hurts me everyday to think about it knowing there isn't anything I can do about it. Im sick of being walked all over. So. Heres my options. Keep faking smiles and act like my little brother wont be sucked into their games. Or do I confront them and try to somehow get him out of there when hes old enough to know what her and my step dad are doing isnt okay. (more info cause why not. My mother has 3 daughters. None of them talk to her but me. Because I have to. I wouldn't if I could. The oldest refuses to talk to her after realizing my mom abused her emotionally. The second oldest refuses to talk to her for reasons being physical abuse. I don't want to hurt my mom ,but I am tired of having my family see me like this. Emotionally wrecked.) If you do put this in a video...I would like to remain anonymous. If you don't that's fine. To anyone reading this. Thanks for listening to my rant..And if you relate. Things will get better. I wouldn't ruin the friendship based on someone's personal opnion. If they're a really good friend who is always there for you, their opinions shouldn't interfere with that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My husband has different views than me on some issues, but that doesn't affect who he is as a person. Maybe just ask them kindly not to talk about it so much - I mean, there is only so much a person can take on ANY subject.

I would say you just have to know if they are truly a good person. If they are, you could either try to respectfully educate them or just accept that you two will never agree. As long as they aren’t trying to change your views or actively pushing for change that you disagree with, you can just avoid the topic

What would Tara do: My mom is in love with a terrible man and he's moved in. My mom has started to ignore me and spend all her time with him, I don't feel comfortable with him and he yells and my, my mother and my brother ALOT. He has crazy anger issues and I really want him to move back out. I wish I could tell my mom that I hate him and he's not a good boyfriend I want her to be happy, and she seems happy with an abusive terrible boyfriend.

i know exactly what you mean by doing something that scares you. I just told the guy ive liked since childhood that i had feelings for him and it was not reciprocated. He lives across the country so it makes things difficult but i was so proud of myself for actually following through with it before he left back home. i dont know when im going to see him again and im facing some heartbreak but i know its good for me in the end because now i can move on knowing i did the right thing. Anyways just thought id share haha. Love you!

Well first of all tell her how much she is loved and how gorgeous she is. Then tell her that those who bully are usually going through a very hard time in life and to always be nice no matter what. And don’t forget that 99% of people that bully are JEALOUS of her. She is loved and tell her that many strangers out here love her and support her!💞❤️
Try to help her figure out a comeback maybe? That has happened to me and it helped so much to confront the person. If she is uncomfortable doing that then help her ignore the bully ❤️ I hope this helps and I am so sorry for your sister ❤️
