- On the docket today; Customer purchased this pristine 2002 Corvette from the original owner with less than 6,000 miles on the clock. He has already had us do a service and replace the original tires. Now, he wants us to replace the shocks (dampers) with Bilstein units.

Thank you for the lesson.
You're welcome
Thanks for the video. I’m about to tackle this job on my 2002. Looks like the hardest part is compressing the shocks.
Yes, compressing them is pretty difficult
Great Video Thanks 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Do the shocks go bad because of age? 6,000 miles is nothing, but since the car is now 20 years old is that why they needed to be changed? (Asking because my 2008 corvette has 20k miles and i'm debating if i should replace my shocks with B6).
Yes, this vehicle was unused for so long, our fear was that once the suspension started to get "worked" the shock seals would fail...have seen it before
I couldn't see anything that you were doing do you have to compress the shock to get it in
Yes, it has to be compressed
did the owner experience speed limiter prompt after the install ?
Nope
Speed limiter would only apply if you were replacing shocks that were magnetic ride control. They were an option on the 2002 Corvette with the F45 suspension. I’m about to tackle this job on my 2002.
no torque wrench?
Just cause I did not film it, does not mean I don't use one
Can’t see what you’re doing. Need a camera guy.
well, sometimes it is not possible
