    Great aviator, cool, calm and collective. Well ahead of the aircraft and the operation. The narration was also fantastic. Maybe when I purchase my first jet a/c...you Captain will be my first choice. Great trip!

    Another reason why you couldn't get 430 is because above RVSM airspace only goes up to FL410. Above FL410 requires 2,000 ft separation between aircraft. So westbound flights would get 430, 470, 510 and eastbound flights would get 450, 490, 530 etc.

    • @ioptimizerealty
      @ioptimizerealty  Před měsícem +1

      Reuben, I hear what you are saying, but I get FL430 90% of the time, amazingly, regardless of Eastbound or Westbound. In this flight though, I was Eastbound, so the odd altitude of FL430 was supposed to be allowed. Thanks, Don

      Chris, I was in Army Special Forces and was on a HALO/Scuba team. So, I got lots of time jumping out of helicopters and airplanes, but I was never driving the bus. It inspired me to learn to fly though. So, I learned post the military, but in some ways, I approach it like my SF training. Train hard, be spot on.

    Nice video. Very professional attitude - and yes, when in doubt, ASK. Glad you got the lap belt low across your hips for landing. It was up around your naval on takeoff - not ideal. The lap belt tension is what keeps your butt planted in the seat and your head off the ceiling in turbulence - ask me how I know. While I’m nit-picking, I think you inadvertently called the male NY APP controller “Ma’am” on initial contact. When in doubt, I don’t use sir or ma’am. Beautiful plane!

    • @ioptimizerealty
      @ioptimizerealty  Před měsícem +1

      On a dry day, you can do 4k', but you have to be right on the numbers. I would recommend 5k' dry for most times to give yourself that extra 1k'+ feet. Contiminated at least 5k', but I still often stop in less than 4k'. Though HondaJet is now pushing 7k'. I think that is a bit over the top and/or would depend on what type of contimination and severity of it. They have upgraded the software so that you can select different types and levels. Of course, we are talking Standard Day and sea level. Change that and change your numbers accordingly.

    Thats a 172, not a 150…and you do NOT stick the lens into the airstream, you open the windows and keep the lens out of the airstream in order to minimize vibration, thus affecting your image.

    • @ioptimizerealty
      @ioptimizerealty  Před měsícem

      Thanks for that correct. It has been many a decade since I flew in a 150 and from the back they look the same to me. What you say makes sense and it is still nice that you can open the window for the shot.

    • @mbsevans
      @mbsevans Před měsícem

      @@ioptimizerealty easy way to tell 172 from 150/152 are side windows. Former has two side glass, latter has one. Yes both are very good for aerial photography, and I have done my share from both. It does require removing the restraint strut and once done, one must be careful when opening it into the slipstream to lot let it bang up against the bottom of the wing. And yes…due the very nature of what produces lift, that window WILL fly out of your hand, if one is not careful when you unlatch it.
