Once you clear CA in more than 3 attempts, its quite obvious to feel tensed. Because of abundant supply of freshers, companies apply filters on the number of attempts, such as only first attempt CA, max 3 attempts CA
What if you have cleared CA in 4/5/6/7 attempts
Apart from option of starting your practice, where its immaterial ; you can draw inspiration from many successful people who took an equal number of attempts
The HR is facing a problem of abundance and not scarcity when it comes to freshers . Plus who wants to take the risk of recruiting you after 5 attempts and later face the music if things backfire. So its classic ''Cover Your Ass'' strategy

Nice initiative Anurag Sir. It will really help the students in getting shortlisted. Differentiating your CV with others is very important to get an edge in the competition. It can be done through some additional short term courses or through some of the exceptional skills like proficient in excel , Sap , stata etc. Differentiation can be made either through some additional qualifications or through some soft skills.

The real problem is over supply of CA in market other is quality of passouts app 20000 plus CA pass out from ICAI whereas global passout of CIMA is 5000 , ACCA global pass put 7500 app , CIA USA 7500 , CMA USA 4000 app , Indian CMA App 5500 annually therefore their quality is maintained all these global bodies maintain quality by high standards of examination.
How do you manage to tell so much pratical things..!

Sir this is my 5th attempt. I have done internship from Deloitte. Is there a chance of getting recruited there if I clear? If not, would the Deloitte internship tag be helpful for getting me a job in a smaller/local firm?

1) I come from a humble background and didn't knew much about what type of articleship firm should be chosen and my experience was very bad after 1st year and didn't get much opportunity to learn and don't have much experience.

Sir, what would be reasonable salary for a student who have become CA after 6-7attempts. If has not worked anywhere after arricleship i. e 4years gap of work experience.
There is no such formula. Better to try for a mid sized firm and start at around 5 lacs

You can get 7-8 lacs working for one of the big 4 in Chennai. You'll need to Ace the interview though

Sir yours approach to address students is unique. I think someone should create a platform to enable passouts or even semi qualifiers to prepare them in whatever thing they want to do in their careers..such as a kind of coaching for crash time. Students will definitely like this.

Sir i m really tensed, i have done no audits during my articleship what i have to do😞 because there was no audit in my firm at that time.....i have just filed ITRs u/s 44AD and GSTR of normal clients....i think thats the most easy work.....ekdo din m seekh jaate h😕 now what i have to do.....only 6months are left in my exams

I'm very late in watching this, indeed Anurag ji you have laid all points correctly, I've many attempts, and just cleared in may-18, so the attempts are hampering a lot to get a headstart.

Sir I cleared ipcc in first attempt but I have given multiple attempts in ca final since nov 2016. Due to some reasons I was never well prepared. Now if I work hard and secure in an AIR in may 2021 attempt which is the last attempt of old course, will it add any value? Can I expect better job after that? Please guide Sir.

I had a question regarding pursuing MBA, right now I am a CA finalist and want to know in order to pursue MBA from any IIMs/FMS/SP Jain or any other top college will multiple attempts in IPCC and CA final second or third attempt be a big problem or these flaws can be managed by getting a really good CAT score? Also the articleship was one year from mid size firm in Mumbai and then 2 years in a small firm.
Hello Ria, in MBA, both attempts and articleship firm won't matter much..as long as you are able to articulate whatever you have done honesty
