What if you are in your late 20s and still doing CA ?

  • Will it be too late to continue a CA say at the age of 27 Or 30 ? Is it worthy to continue it Or should I look for some other alternatives? These are some of the questions that keep confusing students.
So yes you can definitely continue and become CA at age of 30 but there are some conditions.
There is no right age to complete a professional degree if you actually have the knowledge but yes you should not just simply sit at home studying and giving exams repeatedly. Instead you should be engaged in some sort of finace jobs in any startup Or service market. This will not only make you an experienced person but there will be chance of your promotion in the same company. So you need to harness related work experience without which it will be very challenging.
If you are starting it late, do consider the factor that you might not be able to complete it in one go. People already have an edge over you if they have completed when they were 22-23. They are ahead of you by 4-5 years and would be earning fairly more than you are currently at 27 when they would reach at this age. Also they would be assumingly smarter and sharper than you'd be because they're still having a younger mind than yours. There would be a gap between you and them.
In a nutshell, there are pros and cons. It's the way you want to look at the scenario. But if you could justify yourself to the interviewer if you are applying for a job then it wouldn't matter. And anyways if you'd be doing your own practice, after a couple of months or years no one will ask at what age did you complete the CA or how many attempts did you take.
So stay safe and all the very best for your upcoming exams!!
