- Angels! In todays Chivalry 2 gameplay I am defending Darkforest using the greatsword knight and of course I am playing the DUKE. Champ duke runs are a thing of legend as I first meet the masons in the courtyard. Aggressive chivalry 2 gameplay is what it's all about!

I feel ya on the team kill thing. I'm constantly getting hit by greedy teammates try to take my kills. It usually results in me getting kill by my opponent or teammate. What makes it worse is having teammates attack the person you on and instead of the person next to him. It always results in me getting ganked mid fight. Sad part is my teammates run away without a scratch.

Everyone does team damage occasionally though, I saw a few in this very stream. Sure there's outrageous cases, but chill..
Year late, but stop talking and no offense, but I've seen you do team takedowns in your videos. Then you have the AUDACITY to complain. Everyone does team damage from time to time. I'm not getting on your making an observation. If it sounds too harsh, I do apologize.

In their defense, you took a 5 minute blood shower before that all went down. They just swing at the red people. 😅
The problem is when you are bathed in blood you might as well be red. Some Mason armor are black and when covered in blood it is difficult to distinguish black from blue. Sometimes i assumed it was a bloody agatha teammate when it was just a bloody mason dude and suffered a loss. Better swing once to test the waters

very nice work as always champ. I'm also a 1st person player and in the top 3/4 (64p) in most lobbies. You can defiantly be competitive. I also think it should be 1st only, but that's just me. What's with the dumb teammates ? Its happens to me as well. But also see someone needing a revive being totally ignored and walked past. That annoys me, I'll go out of my way to just to get them back up. Got to be a team player and look after each other and all that. Think some people lack awareness and generally see more TKs recently. I guess still a relatively high turnover of newbie gamepass players... anyhow, well played 💪

Nice video as always, man. You were you using the new skin from the King's Edition (feydrid aegis). It seems the armor's colours (white+blue) plus the crown cause a bit of confusion on new players. Perhaps they think you are a VIP. I was team killed many times because of it, especially after being burnt.

I agree with whole First Person is at disadvantage vs Third Person in most games like shooters that corner peeking makes a huge difference. But in a melee based medieval game, I don’t see any advantages. Like you said it’s just a “get good” scenario
this game have no real mechanics ... how can a heavy armor attacking be more fast then a archerr escaping?
@@edisonsantos2081 lets be honest, in real medieval times when would you see in archer need to run away? they're literally hundreds of feet away? Makes sense you cant run away, because you shouldn't be that close

I mostly watch your videos on my break on the company computer, which has no audio, so i never actually heard your voice and to be honest, i was not expecting it to sound like that. xD
About first person gaming, i used to play mostly third person when i started Chivalry 2 because of the bigger field of view at the sides, but slowly switched to first person. At first i was missing all my attacks in first person because the dragging and aiming felt different, but after some practice i got a lot better. First person gaming is all about practicing, of course if you get used to third person, then the change is gonna be a bit tougher and it is gonna feel inferior at the beginning.
By the way, big rep to the glaive enjoyer that i sometimes see in the comments.

Also they tried to vote kick you because of your team damage most likely which was over 100 at the time. 1vX weapons like the great sword are prone to that shit

yeah i saw that move i was like " what you can do that too ?". He canceled the feint into a overhead. But damn that was fast.
@@bale9320 i think he just did 1 feint to alt overhead, because the attack dealt 90 which is how much heavy overhead will do and there is no way he could do a charge attack so fast.
The feint for some reason started from the right as if he about to do a slash.
The fact that you can literally see behind you in third person makes it objectively better, but also super lame and we should be able to filter out 3rd person lobbies.

I think the existence of third person has let TBS get away with very goofy anims like the general obscene wideness and pullback of slashes to the extent that many of them hit 200+ degrees of coverage without moving your cursor whatsoever during release, and if you combine that with effectively unreactable counters like longsword slash counter accels third person is basically the only way to "maximize" the game, but players don't get so high up toward the theoretical ceiling that first person can't compete.
Third person is also just easier to be better in what I think is a weapon matchup dependent manner due to the comparative ease of reading goofy anims in third while first is nicer for tighter weapons which actually make decent sense like playing against spears. TBS also made the mistake of making third broaden vision too much, making it objectively the best choice in TO just as some icing on the shit cake.
First person isn't uncompetitive at all. I just think third person has been significantly degenerate and fundamentally unhealthy for Chivalry 2 and for the genre.

@@StridahsAngels Minmaxing is often where you find what makes the game feel weird even when you aren't minmaxing.
I saw some negative steam reviews where newer players were just overwhelmed by people doing stuff that only makes sense in third person, and it made me think about all the things that this game does that in general only make sense in third person.
I think third person has not just harmed the game at the top end, but it's unhealthy for new player onboarding too, as it encourages not just the playerbase to do things that don't make sense in first person, enabling TBS to make decisions which only make sense to third person players.
Delete third person in chiv 2 tbh.

I swear, my team mates always just walk in front of me when I'm fighting someone, it's the most annoying thing ever, they run in front of me as I swing to steal my kill then they get mad at me after I hit them. Just leave me alone, I'll 1vx better than most of you freaks trying to tk and kill thief me.
