MRUV 123: Coal Pit Installed in Fairview

Wanting to finish all the track in the Fairview area I decided to build and install the coal pit for the one industry (yet to be officially named). The building itself will be the Winchendon Machine Co. craftsman kit by Laser Modeling 3. The coal pit is included with the kit and consists of four Hydrocal castings, a wood floor, a stair assembly, a coal conveyor and two rail supports.
Assembly of the pit itself was fairly straightforward. For the install on the layout I had to do some thinking. The pit is located in 3/4" plywood, and a square opening would be required. I got the opening cut (sorta-kinda okay...) and came up with a way to support the pit at the correct height above the layout surface so the rails laid flush on the pit supports.
Some very basic track ballast/coal spillage was added and will suffice for now. At least all the track is now DONE and operating. Now onto the trackage in the factory area.
