My Benji died Oct 2023. He would wait at the door just like your Sweetpea. I know it hurts. They are angels sent by God to keep us happy for just a short time. But the time with them is priceless. I miss my Benji each day. He was 19 months of age when he died. He chased a cat into the street. This was the first time he did this. And unfortunately, he paid the price. He was squeezed to death. He died instantly. I miss my doggie. I weep for him still. And I repeat, they have to be angels. Their love steals our hearts.
