Thanks for the great content, I’ve been using the Worx landroid for the past 2 years. The first year no issues, but this year I had issues with it jumping the boundary wire, but last week I bought used Husqvarna Automower. I’m excited for the next growing season.
Wow - what did you do with the Landroid? That's a bunch of money to drop.
I’m gonna sell the Landroid.
2021 shopped and researched and bought the Landroid from a Liquidator for $400, then last week I was out of town on a business trip and found a used Automower 115 (2019 model) on Marketplace. Now I need to purchase a Automower off marketplace.
Finally! A channel that doesn't sugarcoat and mask reviews behind sponsorship/brand deals 🤝 .... "Factory Reset, connect the blah blah to the PC", exactly that's not our job as the consumer!
Thank you! We will never give in!
If you want technology only at such a high minimum viable product threshold, we would all still be waiting for the first iPhone, which by your standards, might be something like the iPhone 30. 😁
That kind of standard would also make consumers angry, since such a principle would require warranty servicing for simple problems, raising the price even more… …that, or insurance rates and deductibles. And then you could be without your gadgets for days, or weeks at a time. Is that the world you want to live in? Not to mention the fact such a principle maligns the consumer’s “right to repair.”
@@HSTRTGMS Companies build trust and reputation over time by consistently delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Intentionally releasing flawed products at a high price can quickly erode this trust and damage the company's reputation. In the age of social media and online reviews, negative feedback spreads rapidly, potentially harming future sales and brand loyalty. Consumer satisfaction is paramount for long-term success. While some customers might initially purchase expensive products based on brand name or marketing hype, if those products turn out to be flawed or unreliable, it leads to disappointment and dissatisfaction. This can result in returns, exchanges, or even legal action, all of which incur costs for the company and inconvenience for the consumer.
The essence of a good business transaction lies in providing value to the customer. A high price tag for a flawed product undermines this fundamental principle. Consumers expect their investment to be justified by the quality, performance, and durability of the product. When flaws emerge, it diminishes the perceived value and can lead to feelings of buyer's remorse.
Successful companies aim to cultivate long-term relationships with their customers. This requires not only delivering quality products but also providing excellent customer service and support. When flaws are discovered, how a company handles the situation can greatly impact customer loyalty. In a competitive market, consumers have choices. If one company consistently offers flawed products at high prices, consumers are likely to seek alternatives from competitors who provide better value for their money. This dynamic encourages companies to prioritize quality and innovation to stay ahead of the competition and retain their customer base.
Building a successful business requires a commitment to delivering value, earning trust, and prioritizing customer satisfaction over immediate gains. Your Apple analogy is severely flawed as Apple has always released quality products in lieu of being the first to market with a new flawed product. ✌️
@@HSTRTGMS such a valid point, but I think it still stands that the user experience is an important buying decision.
Wow some of these have a long way to go
Tell me about it.
I’ve got the 115h and it does have app features you just have to pair it
I own an automower 430x. I've had it three years now and it's amazing. I have issues once and a while, usually regarding misc. objects in the lawn that it might get stuck on and also boundary line repairs. If you are handy i highly recommend it. My lawn, 1/2 acre, looks freshly mowed all the time and all i do is water and trim the edges. Basically, it gives me like 2 hours of freed up time each week. My lawn also is much, much healthier than before and looks like a golf course.
Wow I love to hear that. How much did you grab it for?
Time for automates sprinkler system! Only thing left is the trim. Which i dont see being automated for another hundred years. Final touches and trim is extremely difficult to automate, it may take even longer, 200-300 years to get something that complex.
Although that gave me an idea for an automated edger. Im sure the market abd public just isn't ready for that. People already contemplate 2k for a mower. An edger would be around the same price. Must more precise. I would guess a 2 in 1 system could ve made reasonably affordable in 100 years.
Lazy is what it's called. Smh
I have two Husqvarna 115h and I love them.
Wow. Big lawn?
@@TheLawnReview three acres. I use the robots to mow around the house because we had tons of Illinois weed and over burr type growth that was growing faster than the lawn. The burrs would get all over the pets and everywhere. I deployed the robot mowers and the burr problem disappeared. I mow the rest with a craftsman 3500.
I've had a robot mower for three years and I would like to add something on here. If you have any slopes the wheels can spin which tears up your lawn. I don't use mine anymore because lightning took it out.Your boundary wire is a large antenna for lightning.
Yep they can’t handle more than 20 degree slopes I believe
Enjoyed your video - You have convinced me not to get any Robotic mowers thanks, but I might get a battery powered mower after viewing your review
Haha thank you! Which one are you going with?
Stihl because I have several other batteries that will fit the mower @@TheLawnReview
Thanks for the great review. I am OCD about edging. If you place the guide wire around the edge of the lawn will trimming with a string trimmer be a problem ? I have a aged lawn with lots of thatch. I tend to bag rather than mulch. These machines only mulch. Not sure which way to go. Obviously the more expensive GPS machines solve the wire issue.
It is typically buried so it should be okay. I’m also a big fan of mulching and not bagging.
If you’re worried I’d wait for newer models or be prepared to shell out a ton of cash
RoboUP has a mower that does not need a boundary wire and it maps your yard all by itself. Set it to map, around it goes, and then it cuts. But they are only available in Europe as of 2024.
That sounds pretty good to me. I think the technology will just keep getting better
Love this video really help
Thanks for watching Sandy!!
Damn mowers takin over my job
Not anytime soon!
@@TheLawnReview ok😮💨 mowing is my life😂
I have a sidewalk next to my lawn where I would want the husqvarna mower to go to charge under my deck and then cross the sidewalk again and "drop" off an inch or so to get back to the grass. Is that possible?
I think it should be okay. If it’s an inch or so then it will not have a problem
I want to get one so bad! But those patterns would drive me crazy
It isn't super noticeable but its a lack of stripes for sure
I wonder how any of these would do with wet grass... That's the only area where my electric mower struggles so I can't imagine these would do well.
That's a great question, Katie. I think many of these have moisture detectors (or should) where they don't go out in the rain. But wet grass I think the answer is that it will get cut....eventually.
Appreciate you watching this one just like you did the electric mower showdown!
Is it worth it to pay extra for a Husqueverna upgrade?
Above this model of the automower?
Its interesting that none of these companies used a back and forth pattern like vacuum robots. Especially since there’s a guide line telling it where the yard ends. But I forgot you laid down a sprinkler system and saw the dirt trails and was like man you made your yard into 4s for this video?? Then remembered lol. Also I see the ego! Did the old couple down the road return it? Just curious!
Yeah supposedly the Luba does the back and forth pattern! Pretty expensive though in comparison to these models. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they all cut that way. But yeah actually the husband accepted it and then the lady rejected it and I brought it back to my house! She said she didn’t like that it was self propelled. Go figure lol. I told her she could just not use it if she didn’t want to but she liked her mower better haha
The guide and the boundary is same tech, just applied differently in the software, this was a Husqvarna patent that just recently lapsed so other manufacturers can now use it.
Anyway, the signal from the boundary and the guide is not enough to tell the mower where it is, it just tells the mower what side of the wire it is (inside or outside).
There are boundary machines that does the pattern cutting put they are to sensitive for disruptions (Bosch Indigoo) and mostli for minimal lawns.
Systematic cutting needs minimum two systems to work properly, kinematics and RTK or Kinematics and Camera/radar navigation. You basically need backups for the backup systems or the mower will frequently get lost.
Does anyone make one without the boundary wire that we can drive like an rc car or drone?
Yes but they’re pretty expensive. Like more than $2,000. I think Mammotion Luba is one?
Dude is naming the genetics of his grass in his climate 😂
Hahaha what??
Maybe it's just me, but the lawn still looked shaggy behind each one, not short at all.
It doesn't cut as cleanly as normal mowers - that's for sure. But it will go back and cut that same line 10x before it calls it a day.
My worx landroid overstepped the boundaries, went on a pool deck and ripped up the plastic coping before falling in the pool. 12K to fix the coping on the pool and a broken lawnmower. In the end it would be better to just the mow the lawn yourself.
😮
I'll wait a few more generations while they iron out some things.
Good idea
The Worx mower has a "comb" which is supposed to protect the blade from rocks. It's also quite front heavy and it puts most of its weight on that single wheel in the front. These things in combination makes the Worx mower prone to getting stuck. You can remove the comb, and that will make it less likely to get stuck, but there's still the issue of the single wheel.
tldr just go with Husqvarna Automower
That’s my take as well. Thanks for watching!
Hmmm need a translator
sorry,...
Your lawn was not optimally prepared for this test. If you want to mow tall grass and uneven terrain, a Sthil robotic lawnmower would be a better choice. He has a solid and strong knife. However, most robotic lawnmowers first require a basic cut with a hand-operated lawnmower. Any unevenness that is too severe should also be corrected. I have been using the old Gardena model R40Li for 8 years and have had no problems with it.
The robotic mower is not for you if you have tall fescue or any other coarse grasses . I barely notice any grass being cut on this video 😂. I like to go out and do it myself anyways . The beer taste better after mowing
Agreed!
I think i will continue to cut my own grass. I have fescue grass and cut it the highest level. Doesn't look like they cut that great. I'm 77 and seemed too good to be true. Great review though.
Thanks !
So for my grandparents who are somewhat technologically up to date, i will setup he mower for them, between the husky and the worx mower which one would say is better overall from start to finish for a smaller 1/4 acre lawn. The lawn is split up kind of between the 4 corners, the front section is the only runs which have a steep incline as the lawn tapers down to the road. I wad planning on either running a wire or whatever the prevent either mower to go down the steep incline running into their street...
But overall for 70 plus year olds, already setup which mower? Or brand atleast is most reliable and easiest for them to use?
Worx is a good one. Pretty cheap and easy to use. But I would get a battery one so they don’t get tripped up on cords
@@TheLawnReview so the worx is better than the husqvarna? I wad under the impression all the robot mowers were cordless
Sorry I was confused at which video I was commenting on. The Husqvarna is the best here and yes they’re all cordles
An RTK / EPOS are better as they can mow in patterns and don't need a wire. Not under $1000 though.
Yeah the technology is advancing super quickly. I'm sure there willl be amazing ones for under $1,000 soon. Thanks for watching!
Can I have whatever you don’t use , thank you 😊😂😅😂
lol I don’t have them anymore
I saw a robomower that doesn't use a guide wire...
Yep they have some new ones that are like $3,500
You're fired 😅
Por que?
@@TheLawnReviewLuba 1000. Under 2k, no boundry wires.
First here 😎
I would stay away from Gardena Sileno, bought one 2 years ago and it broke down after 1.5 season, sent it in to service and got it back still broken with a 100$ bill attached. Will never ever buy anything with the Gardena logo on it again, overall their products are utter crap. Take my advice, never buy Gardena.
Probably a good idea. Mine was struggling compared to the other two
gardena or husqvarna made in same factory, 100% same model out of outside plastic
@domz3398 not true. Husqvarna has different specs and is narrowest. It is the cheaper lower end brand still made by Husqvarna though
I have the Gardena Sileno City and I've never had any issues with it other than needing a software update. If it broke down on you after a year and a half, you should have still been covered under the 3 year warranty. You shouldn't have had to pay anything.
@biz1boom thanks for sharing that. I had trouble with it too but hope they’ve fixed it.
Hi, I would like to invite you to review our smart sprinkler controller, are you interested? Once connected to your home wifi, it can automatically adjust the frequency and amount of watering according to the weather and seasonal changes.
No thank you
this is a@@TheLawnReview This is business cooperation, the content of the cooperation is to test our controller and take a video for us, what do you think?
CAN I GET THE HUSQVANNA FROM YOU, SINCE YOU DON'T PLAN TO USE IT?
I don’t have it anymore 😟

Dos!

This is ridiculous. It moves as slow as a turtle walking. Your not showing grass that's high like 4 or 5 inches high. I can push my lawn mower on my huge front and back yard in 1hour but this machine it would take 3 or 4 hours to cut. I'll spend my money on a riding lawn mower besides this sorry turtle machine
Most of these can't cut 4-5 inches high. They are slow, but they are basically mowing 24/7
