I have a 7" wrist, but I wear the 39.5mm Aquis. My wrist is actually taller than it is wide, so it works for me, but I think I could pull off all 3 sizes. It's actually one of my favorite watches, but you're right about the AR. I wouldn't want it on the top of the crystal, but the could easily put more layers under it!
I have a 43mm with the black dial and orange lume on hands and indices. I love it and it's been perfect. Runs -1 second a day consistently with the Oris cal 733.. It's the perfect watch.
I have to say I love the way the Aquis feels on the wrist. As you say all the dials are different, some may look at one and think it's a no no on the other hand another dial may look great. I'm very happy with mine as the dial almost looks like a look into space. No issues with readability either on my example.
This looks like a perfect diver to wear in the summer time! Oris should have made this a closed case back (no need to see the red rotor movement on this one) with the recycled medallion to match the dial. Oris did this on the Clean Ocean variant and it looks amazing!
That's a bit unlucky by the sounds of it. My first mechanical was the Oris F1 Williams chrono which I bought preowned. The date function didn't work, but it may have been mishandled by the previous owner. Since then I've owned the Carbon F1 chrono and 4 different Aquis (first edition Black dial, then Great Barrier Reef II, followed by the newer Clipperton and Source of Life). No problems with any of them, but I didn't keep them more than a year.
Hi@@jim2111 .Oris 65 the winding mechanism went on it..Oris Artiler would keep stopping and then finally gave up working altogether... Oris Chronometer 7496 stops on a regular basis...I would never buy an Oris again...
@@rossdevYou are right it is unlucky Maybe I should have sold them after a year too..Lol I mostly collect Seiko 's and never have any trouble with them..
Oris have managed to come up with a diver that is instantly recognisable 4 what it is with the Aquis & thats no mean feat these days really. Whats not 2 love about an independent company owned by watch enthusiasts anyway?
Oris always does an amazing job and this dial concept is growing on me. Thanks for sharing Rob!

Best trashy watch ever. Oris hits a environmental home room !

"Camouflage" is a perfect way to describe it.
Super cool, I love the possibility to pair it with your couple (41,5mm and 36,5mm).
Oris Aquis has so many beautiful dials its hard to just pick one.

I just bought the Dat Watt and that actually has a tungsten bezel. Looks very similar to this one. These aren't super legible but they look very cool
I have 5 Oris watches in my collection. And 3 of them I had trouble with, so maybe Trash watch is a good name for them..

Why did you keep buying them?
@@superflyregularguy The 5 of them were in my collection before they gave me trouble..
Do you collect yourself?
It's a dial suitable for folk who aren't that bothered about the concept of time.
Good watch for the price point. The dial is distracting though
Wait there's a date?
Is it still for sale, and if so, how much?
If that had a black bezel, I think I'd get it.
I prefer the 2019 clean ocean 40mm.
Its the dumpster diver!
No doubt.
People love a recycled plastic dial but criticise a watch with a plastic movement holder. Humans are funny animals.

Pretty but hard to read….
Tried several Oris Aquis’s in store and the bezel action was the worst I’ve ever tried. Sounded just like this one, like a $20 watch.
Cool idea for dial patterns, but that integrated proprietary bracelet is bit ugh..
If anyone throw it into a trash can, I can't find it. 😂
Looks like ****
No, make the box out of the stuff, not on the dial.
Not for me
Yuck
Big fan of Oris........just not this model
Some ideas are just not worth pursuing like trash for a dial. The watch is hard to read and the look is too weird. I do like Oris watches in general.
Terrible wath dial . İs this a joke? Not funny though !
