I would like to move to Siberia. I live in the US not quite as cold but closer than in most other places in the US. Still freezing at night then a bit warmer during the day. I became interested due to a online friend. We were communicating for three years by using a particular website, someone most have figure it out and our communication was ended. Between the two of us we are 174 years old. We found out we were close to meeting at least 4 times in our lives (including the Cuban Missile crisis, when the Berlin Wall was being built, the Vietnam protests and a few years ago.)

@@mikhailshafeev9384 I am aware that Russian is a Slavic language, but people other than those in the US tend to know more than one language. That includes me, since I am not decendant of the British (thank goodness) the invaders of just about every nation and their children from the US, all who think they are superior to every one else, while being beyond stupid. I'm multi-lingual so I'm sure I can learn enough Russian to survive. I can understand Putin, heck I've been a fan of his from before he was president. Lots about him to admire. We have a lot in common: he likes puppies and little kids, especially those in hospitals. Lets compare: Putin vs Biden and his puppeteer Obama. Nope not comparison possible. As to Russia itself, I've been studying Russia since I was a little girl, growing up in the US military. Great warriors! women included. I am well aware they won WWII, not even remotely the US. I even lived in Germany when the Berlin Wall was being built, in one of the last German towns that Russia defeated.

The last part of the video when you talked about "starting a new life' after your came to Russia was very touching, I appreciate how genuine you are! You know, your words about being 34 and feeling like your life is starting afresh reminded me of one famous Russian - Andrey Bolkonskiy from War and Peace novel by Leo Tolstoy. He had absolutely the same feeling: he came back from the war (WWI) really crushed, dashed and disappointed, 31 years old. In addition, his wife had died while he was away. So, one day he was out in the nature in springtime, walking, contemplating the rebirth of one particular tree, and he had like a conversion, an insight, a pivital momement of his life as he found new hope and said to himself (what becale of of the most famous passages in all russian literature) “No, life is not over at thirty-one!” (Нет, жизнь не кончена в 31 год!) and after this line there's another 60% of the book! a long way to go!! still so many things ahead!

in the vast majority of canada, $10'000 is essentially mandated as an overhead fund that is placed over simply regulating a person under a "organized association of land lords"... that means its money that is tied to an expected cycle of mostly renewable things... like picking flowers for tea to save for a year or two, except its regulated for people not to do that themselves as they are educated to see thru with other things... like fixing lightbulbs or other things like scissors, tho further more... that $10'000 is more common to be inflated under "home owners association regulations" as a multi staged wall of sorts that partly segregates others from walking into a soup kitchen. "island regulations of monarchy" so one could be essentially locally educated to think their allocation of 10'000 is actually closer to 160'000... their is no currency exchange rate for some people as the first amendment applies to the lord over them and the stature of regulated placements. 10k that amounts to nun other then what simply comes around with little to no effort in sustainable use, so their is no value to it in capital monopolism other then a moral status of thought. common wealth society

You should have more programs about the history of Russia, their emigration is not so different from the US, just older. Enormous immigration from Europe especially Germans, in millions as pioneers got a piece of land, started new society and civilization within Russia. They even had a small autonomous republic. So it is mosaic of different cultures. The only country in the "Western sphere" has a functioning multicultural model, while something that is natural in other civilizations such as India or Iran.
Russia as you probably know had a devastating war in the Kauskus, and racism against Muslims, and extremists/Salafists. There are still prejudices.
The country I come to Sweden is only getting worse and worse. No other country in the Western world managed to manage this. I think it is based on form of pragmatic approach, combination of organic development.
I want to claim that part of the Russian soul is organic, as is the contact with nature, mother earth and spiritually.
I want to take two examples 1) Chechnya and 2) Karelia, on Russia handles differences.
    1) There have been conflicts between the warrior Chechens for hundreds of years, no one wants to give in.
A civil war where over 20,000 Russian soldiers.
But still, the Chechens are the most patriotically loyal. The solution is very "Russian" pragmatic, this being said, this is not the ultimate solution for other countries. But Putin stated that the Chechens there thousands of years with a very strong Sufi/Muslim identity. The Republic of Chechnya is a self-governing unity with sharia law light, the alternative is a civil war, nothing weirder than the Amish people or Evangelical Christians have their communities. You are ALWAYS Russian. The approach to history where differences are not opposed.
    2) Karelia, a republic on the border with Finland which for 800 years was the scene of wars between Russia, Sweden and later Finland. In what became a national trauma for Finland, a large area was ceded to the Soviet Union in 1944, including the old medieval city of Viborg.
In Karelia, only 1 percent of Finns remain. But one of 3 official languages, the indigenous people. Because Finland is this part story. You can't deny that native american is part of the US, pretending it doesn't exist is denying yourself/reality. Russia often has a relationship with the cousin, Finns lived across the borders.
There are old dilapidated farms with Finnish names. You can learn Finnish at university, the names of many places resemble/have their origins in Finland.
If you look at how they deal with Russian minorities in the Baltic states, Ukraine is a terrible example. Where the attitude of winner/loser, "we" is set opposite to the Russian one, as Mexico has been part of their neighbors for over a hundred years. Part of the US was Mexican, something that is celebrated in the US, while removing/name erasing history in the Baltic States.
Discrimination undermines Russian culture. In the areas of Ukrania that are now in Russian hands, it goes without saying that Ukrainian is the official language, and there is a unique culture attached to this area. There is a multicultural model that is opposed to more ethno nationalism.
This has meant that Europe has constantly been religious wars, between countries and had terrible consequences with the holocaust.
Russians don't understand, why can't we, like you, be both Mexican and American, something that enriches. This makes Russia strong, now pits people against each other in the US, against the rest of the world.
Concept multipolar world, it is natural for Russians. It is this as the difference between being a large state like France and civilsation. The French often talk about the Francophone world, starting point that France as a monoculture is better, for example Africans should adapt.
This is for the reasons that Niger/other countries throw out the French, also the US, consider exceptional. We are all equal, but not valuable, so we will tell you what is best. But it is enough that Kakakus, China or Mexico are good areas/country to live for them.

The idea behind building a road first in Europe and elsewhere, is that there are laws that all infrastructure should be up to standard even before the first house is built. This is honestly what I wish Russia will come to at some point, so that all houses are already pre-made with gas, storm drains etc. like in say northern Europe. If the road must go in at the end, then so be it, but the infrastructure coming in first shows that a developer has put thought in how the place is gonna be livable

I hope it will NOT happen. Beacause the main advantage in Russia is the land affordability (low price) You will never ever ( in any country) buy a 1/4 of an acre ( 1000 sq. meters) with the infrastructure ( roads, water and wast water treatment, electricity, natural gas and all other conveniences). I reapeat it - in Russia MOST of families could afford a house ( maybe a small one, maybe not with all the conveniences, but THEYR OWN house!) . House affordability in Russia is the best in the world, yes, they have to pay for that ( bad roads, lack of some infrastructure, ets)

    • @dicecorporation

@@mikhailshafeev9384 I totally agree, every Russian family deserves 200m2 per family at least. But Russia should strive to be the best, mening all I mentioned at affordable prices. A lot of what Russia is currently lacking comes from incorrect application, lack of knowledge and misuse of funds. For example, in some areas of Russia they pour new asphalt every single year because they do it during the rain season. Why? Because they "save" the funds when they need to spend and quickly spend it before the year ends to make a nice looking report. Meanwhile in Kaliningrad they are still driving on 100 year old German paving and it won't need any replacement anytime soon. If you know what you are doing, things don't need to be expensive. If you don't care, you get what you get

Thanks for the video, very interesting!!! You both seem really nice people, and it's cool to have you in Russia. However, as a Russian girl, I can say that 1 million roubles (10 thousand dollars) is quite cheap for a piece of land/house in Russia. I had to pay much more for my property in Krasnodar and Moscow. Another thing to keep in mind is that the government gives every Russian lady 640 thousand roubles for the birth of her first child ($6,4 thousand) and 833 thousand roubles ($8.4 thousand) for the second child (and the same ammount for every next child). Well, technically it's the baby's money, so the father can claim it too, if something tragic happens to the mother. This money is not given in cash, but can be used to improve baby's life (education, housing, etc). Most people spend it on housing for of course (as a part of their morgage usually). As you have said in the video, Russia is very big. If you want to buy in a Siberian village, you can probably find smth for $10k, but if you want to live 20 km from the Black sea or the Baltic sea, it would be impossible for this money. Land in big cities or touristic regions is much more expensive. The deeper in the countryside you go, the cheaper it gets. Anyway, Russia is beautiful and welcoming everywhere ))

I usually watch you, and Countryside Acres, you both have very positive vibes, practical and alive. Think you have some problems getting work in Russia, both of you are advertising pillars for Russia screaming well-educated workforce with people who want to contribute to Russia stronger society and a "we". . The Russian state should pay you for sincerely strengthening their brand. Also through you come with constructive criticism.

If you are learning Russian, you could have a Russian language channel. There is Russian youtube, you would have huge followers, and basically be able to make a living from it. Countryside arces, has exploded in subscriptions, and comments. Most Russians, many of whom do not know English. You are very wise/reasonable and practical in your approach and give those who watch your program tools. Russia is not a bad place, it is not suitable for everyone, above all many expect you to learn the language. Not even for Russians, want to live in not all parts of this civilization are for them. But wherever you are, you are close to nature
Must be able to create relationships you have a girlfriend, are open and likeble as a person. I think there are few countries that are culturally closer to us with such enormous choices. There is a settler spirit now, which pulls people along in the positiv spirit.

In Russia, a non-citizen can own a piece of land with a house (or apartment). There is a 30% tax on your sale. Only if you are the owner of the house for less than 5 years. Owning real estate does not give citizenship. But it can help with obtaining citizenship. There are restrictions for the security of the state. For example, you will not be able to buy land near the state border or a military facility.

Dan, and more recently Sam from Sam’s Russian Adventures, both made videos on how to use Avito where there’s lots of classifieds - look up yourself. Sam showed a Chrome trick where the website menus get translated into English, so you’ll manage even without the knowledge of the language. These days it is probably somewhat cheaper to buy pre-owned estate rather than build your own from scratch, but you’ll get a good idea about the price levels nevertheless.
