A small discussion about how it’s impossible to Escape Russia. For obvious reasons... you dont need to "escape" Russia is a country where you can travel in and out. According to Visas and rights put on by Russia and Other foreign countries.
I am a Slav, Serbian. I grew up in the US (Arizona). I was lucky to also meet and marry a Russian woman. Did not have to get use to her culture though since we are both Slavic. Daniel do not lose her, Slavic women are beautiful and very family oriented. I wish you and Kseniya all the best.

As an American who speaks German and English… learning Russian has been time consuming. My Russian speaking wife and I have a little baby girl who is helping me learn. I try to speak to her only in Russian and it enforces my learning.

Daniel, about the 'escape' videos, another British expat who's really nice and funny (Sam's Russ adventures - from Vladimir) explains this in a few videos. He concluded that the network clearly discriminates against positive vids and actively promotes negative ones. They actually arrange to compensate generously the vloguers that say bad things about R. AND shadow ban the others into quasi obscurity. They also secretly unsubscribe viewers ( happened to me 4 times recently on Russ vlogs). I now check subscriptions regularly 😮

I saw at the end she was being hard on herself about her age and being a mother. In America many of the women I know are having children into their forties (often large families). Taking good care of your body with whole foods, outdoor activities, and good rest (all of which she already does) will help her stay in good birthing shape longer. She is a precious gift from God to you and you to her.

I'm a darker skinned mexican guy and I noticed that everytime I got sick I would lose my tan and get pale. So I tried to see it Vitamin D would help and sure enough, along with rest and good eating, it did. Wish you the best!

About food - all the northern countries has "plain" food, all the southern cultures has more spicy food, all over the world. For example, the southern of Russia and post-soviet countries you go, the spicier the food becomes, like in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan.

I agree that Russian is so different from English, German, Ancient Greek, Latin, which I have studied. It is a big surprise and so interesting. I only know introductory phrases and words in Russian. I find it easier to say than to spell!

Interesting video. I have watched some of those "escape from russia" video but also several of expats from English speaking countries. Most are about daily life and not politics. Funny Dan trying to make Russian food Mexican!
I would love the fresh foods in Mexico she is describing and try true Mexican food. Mexican food in Kansas is probably bland compared to Mexico.
Russian food just needs more spices or sauces. A lot of the best Russian food is not even Russian 😅

Мы в России только этим и живём. У многих огороды, дачи, дома и большие земельные участки. Кто не ленится, тот консервирует, и овощи, и фрукты, и мясо, и рыбу.

Theres a large Russian speaking population here in the Miami area. Several hundred thousand speakers, entire towns that you can get by with only Russian. If you guys come to the states, come visit!
