Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape make RE5 worth buying. Together they make up a nice game, which is how it should have been released from the start.
Try to remember that RE1 didn't really have that option. My own favorite was RE Code Veronica. The one I have the most respect for was RE1 as there was nothing else like it. Umbrella chronicles also gets bravery points and was a lot of fun.
Re 3 lile the best in the origina trilogy and my pesonal favorite, remember talk to someonenot long after a story how i made my freinds tried the mercenaries for the game and quest ask the controls but go through that throw i was a pro at it.

What I HATE about special editions of games is when the added content is only available through codes. I buy LOTS of used games on a regular basis. And I swear, nearly every time I buy a game that has some sort of DLC code inside, it's always freakin' redeemed. It ticks me off SO much. That recently happened when I bought Mafia III Deluxe Edition for PS4. All codes were redeemed. Why in the blue hell doesn't game companies put the added content on the disc, instead of only giving a stupid redemption code? I'll never understand that. That annoys me in the same way it does when Nintendo calls things a "Bundle", yet there's no physical game inside (like with their pre-installed 3DS bundles).
i have the old one and i downloaded all the add ons and installed them but when i get to the game nothing is unlocked in the extra section :( heeelp plzzzzzzz
@TheMrGrimer Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is in stores, and so is the normal Resident Evil 5. All the DLC on live/psn are in the Gold Edition, otherwise you have to get them seperately with the base game. Hope that helped.

re2 has two discs. one is the leon mode and the other is claires story. theyre completely different. however you can choose to play claires version on leons disc once youve beaten the game or vice versa. if you beat all 4 you get to play as hunk which is badass
i went to HMV saw RE5 gold for 14.98 pre-owend and the regular version for 15.99 wth then i see RE5 gold NEW in box for 14.99 this is confusing is re5 gold worse than the regular
@salvadro9298 no the nude sheva is a mod and its only for PC I believe its not in gold edition nor in the normal game. U have to buy it for PC and download a mod
@leumasramlu9 the resident evil stuff coming out for the 3ds looks awesome, but that's the only reason for you? there's a lot more coming to it, mgs3 remake, new zelda, kid icarus, etc. looks like it's gonna be a great new console overall, at least I hope so.
@chubenta You don't have to beat the game at all..well at least not for some, but maybe. Just go where it says Extras on the Virus Menu, it will say New Game, Continue, Join and more. If the Extras menu is not there then just beat the game if you own Gold Edition, if you downloaded the Content, make sure it downloaded correctly because you can still play Mercinaries Reunion without beating the game.
@clb961 you should read up on the story then get this if you have a ps3 or 2 get re4 if you have an xbox 360 then go for it and buy this edition cuz it will save you money with all the dlc

I don't mind not being able to move and shoot at the same time. It feels right for Resident Evil.

I didnt like RE3 cause the camera view sucked balls, i have RE4 and it cool. But RE5 is the best in my opinion.

not all special edition is only on codes. Arkham City GOTY had all the DLC on disc. I am not sure about re5 though.

only on the ps3 has a bonus content disk :\ the xbox 360 gives you coupons with the game to download the stuff for free
