You’re right on the nose, Beebs. Prince William was gorgeous. That blue velvet was begging to be touched. He, like Catherine, would look fabulous in a potato sack.
These shear skirts ruin their outfits. Seeing the outline of the legs, or underwear…… is just tacky and cheap. Line the skirt!!!
really. the shorts are vaguely reminisc. of 1940's high lounge wear. so what for today. Briefs shape is cheap and not even slutty, fine, boring. And a bikini under there is well, Swimwear Save it for the beach with a terry skirt. Back to the cave woman 40's. this underboob, plus slit to past anywhere is so over. Try leaving something on. Or play 1970s like that big- lapel guy and Just go naked! more honest.
Who made this dress for her, she ought to stay away from this designer in future and the same applies to anyone else. It would have looked much better if the skirt had been lined and we couldn’t see the knickers underneath and it seems to be the young ones who as usual think that shocking is a good thing and sexy. Have a bit of decorum, ladies, when you get dressed you would look nicer, more sexy, leave something for the imagination.
Like designers are just becoming lazy...not sexy at all.
Loved Emily Blunt…that gown was amazing! But the “briefs” trend has GOT to go!! I don’t understand how these women can go out of their homes with their underwear showing. Tacky!!
But. Emily's nude undergarment was a perfect match to her skin. Perfect. It could not have been more perfect. And the fabric was not terribly sheer. She was beautiful. 💖

I did that too -but I was usually about 3 years old! Also, at age 9 my mum thought I needed a slip so, at the bus stop I changed out of it only to have several neighbours tell my mother that afternoon. 😀😳

For me David Tennant had the best red carpet look from his hair to his shoes. He also nailed his kilt look. I think David was the best dressed man there.

I think Catherine’s Royal Blue Roland Mouret dress would have looked beautiful with Williams velvet navy jacket. Definitely missed seeing her there.
I wonder if that's what she was planning to wear. They usually plan these outfits months in advance, so possibly before she knew she needed the surgery.

I loved it. Emma and her stylist are exceptional fashionistas IMHO.. her looks from classy to trendy always have a touch of something special and often include a nod to her films..not an easy feat to accomplish.
I thought it was one of the ugliest dresses I've ever seen. 🫣 Looked completely homemade in the worst way! Almost like the real life version of barbie doll dress.

If Emna's peach skirt were lined, it could have improved the seaming between the chiffon and the quilted hem band.
I thought the dress looked lopsided with that huge puffy sleeve on one side and nothing on the other. And that color was NOT flattering for her, made her look washed out.
You are soooo right Beebs! Her Royal Highness, Catherine, Princess of Wales would of course win best dressed woman of the night…absolutely!! I can’t think of a fashion fail regarding anything I have ever seen Her Royal Highness wearing, can you Beebs??

Emma Stone's gown would have been really gorgeous without the single poof sleeve! It looked like a head in an orange bag hanging off her shoulder.

I don't watch award shows anymore as I am of the generation when stars were instantly recognisable. I have to be honest and say I have not a clue who many of these people are. The dresses for me were pretty awful too. There are so few real movie stars these days and class, glamour and stunning gowns are a thing of the past, sadly. It is telling that viewing figures for the Oscars is falling every year so maybe I am not alone in missing the time when award shows like the Oscars were a must see.

Great video, I pretty much agreed with most of it, although I'll be honest I probably would have judged all of the looks more harshly. And when you say Prince William was best dressed man, I not only agree but I think he looked more put together and elegant than every other person, male and female, by a mile.
He wears classic good tailoring, no trends. So always better dressed.
@@lobstermash yeah and I guess I'm judging him by my own personal taste. The other people have more to prove as actors so have to show up trying to grab attention and be creative so it's riskier.

I too was looking forward to your review of the BAFTAs, even though I don't know who many of those women are. David Tennant tied with HRH Prince William in my books, and Cillian Murphy could wear a burlap sack and I'd be happy, because I stop at his cheekbones. And I loved Hannah Waddington's look, but then I think she's so amazing she, too, could wear burlap. Thanks for this, Beebs, always fun.

I love Claire Foy's dress; just lovely! I am not a fan of the tiny cups and sheer skirts that many wore; they are very unflattering.
Really glad you include the men. Men need to put in some effort, too. They definitely don't have as many options but good tailoring is a must.

Beens, I need to say again how much I appreciate your diplomacy and generosity in these fashion reviews! The way you never make it about the woman's body but how the clothing does or does not work for her is consistent, but in this video what stood out to me in particular was your (somewhat desperate) attempt to find something positive to say about Emma Corrin's . . . fashion. It IS a lovely shade of blue.

To the best-dressed women, I would add Dua Lipa in the lovely red Valentino. That classic Grecian gown will never be out of style.
The Lily Collins dress at 25:32 did not need the sleeves at all. At all! It would have been perfect without them.
There seems to be a fashion right now for these giganric frothy sleeves on red carpet dresses. They remind me of pictures I have seen of bees returning to their hives, their rear legs hugely bulbous with pollen. Leave the clumps to the bees please and dump the weird stuck-on appendages!
Yes Beebs you are good at this I hate sheer skirts it's so unnecessary to go tacky. So many strapless gowns look weighed down love the 3 Armani Prive gowns I am really loving opera gloves and the sheer ones or eyelash lash lace ones are great.

As I mentioned several times, those stars would better consult you to avoid mistakes!! Consulting you would be the very best thing they could do, I wish I could let them know, but as 'nobody' that's not an option. 😞. You are always on point with your comment although I do not always agree 🤣(like with the sleeves of Kate Blanchet, it makes her look tough, so I love that!!). Which is normal, cause we all have our own ideas.
