I'm 25 now... cartoon cartoon Fridays was easily the height of the golden age of cartoons
This is probably by far the best block to happen not just on Cartoon Network probably of all time. It really brought life to TV programming. You can really felt the passion that went into CCF right down to every last bumper. I still love the CCF jingle. Never a Friday when I looked forward to seeing my favorite Cartoon Cartoons like Ed Edd n Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, Courage, Johnny Bravo, and Dexter crossover in a late night block! It felt like the cartoons were more three dimensional and really felt like they were pals and us as an audience were in on the fun.
It really would've been great if the current management at CN cared enough to bring this block back. I feel like it could really bring back a big spark. Can you imagine the potential of Adventure Time's Finn and Jake hosting or meeting The Powerpuff Girls or Regular Show's Mordecai and Rigby hanging with the Eds? There's so much material that can really make a Friday memorable.
A CCF reunion is honestly what CN should've done to celebrate their 25th anniversary instead of the disappointment execs gave by doing nothing which honestly felt insulting. It was such a missed opportunity. I feel like if they were to revive this block and combine old & new shows to rotate hosting duties so they can promote the new stuff like Adventure Time or Steven Universe, CN would be a huge success to rival Nick and even stand on top them in ratings like back in their heyday in the 2000s
Example we could have Double D talk about the new episodes of Apple and Onion and have an episode similar to how Johnny and Chicken interrupt him like with the Sheep in the Big City premiere(yes I remember it) but this time have Mordecai and Rigby mess around with Double D when he's trying to talk about the premiere of Craig of the Creek.
You could tell they really cared , a lot of effort and love was put onto these shows , cartoon blocks and skits and stuff.
g suave CN's bumpers aren't even creative anymore. 😞
Yup. It made the block something pretty special. I remember getting excited to watch Cartoon Cartoon Fridays every week after my family finally got Cartoon Network in our cable subscription. Those bumpers made the characters feel real. It was magical.
@@KaijaSchmauss And that's why fourth-wall breaks are likely loved as well.
Eddie: "An iris-in would be appropriate don't you think? Thank you." =)
Dude, I remember going to CiCi's with my dad all the time and watching Cartoon Network. There was one hallway area with a TV and we were always able to have it switched over to Cartoon Network, and I remember seeing all of these bumpers for Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. So great.
Cartoon cartoon Fridays was legendary
cartoons allday 💯
Octavion Winship true but that’s because they got a budget cut
The last couple seconds of the video was a clue to the next ATB episode, wasn't it? Kids WB?
I always Loved the Cartoon Cartoon Fridays Theme Song!🎧🎤🎼🎶📺❤️⭐️👍🏻
It brings tears to my eyes cause I grew up watching this 😢 we need a reboot
I miss cartoon cartoon Fridays, cartoon planet, old boomerang, cartoon theater and other old cn stuff.
Man, not gonna lie, the hype was real when the theme song started. My siblings and I would be so damn excited for this.
U ain't lying. Friday night were great and Saturday mornings with kids wb were great
I would love an episode about Fox Kids. I'd probably watched it ONCE in my life before it got canned. I was on the Nick, Toon Disney, Jetix, and CN high.
Best TV block ever created by man...
Dude! This is my childhood your discussing about! #NostalgiaFilter
Disney Afternoon FTW!!!!
Happy 25th Anniversary

🥳🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
Talk about Miguzi sometime :D
As a kid that only had access to Cartoon Network on the weekend, nothing beat the excitement of getting to watch Cartoon Cartoon Fridays at my dad's house.
Beautiful. Magnificent. Glorious.
This video made me feel nostalgic. I had watched Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, since God knows when.
Please do Fox Box - Vortex on the CW. It's one of the last Saturday morning blocks to end
Switch Speedster used to watch digimon on there
That block is what got me into the Kirby series thanks to Kirby Right Back At Ya!
I remember the bumper about Dexter getting his own show, due to being a fan favorite.
Would love to see an episode about Tickle U in the future
Does anyone else remember U-Pick Live on Nickelodeon?
Pick Boy!!!
Oh gods I miss Sheep and Robot Jones
14:57 Next Time On Attack The Block
1992-2008 CartOOnCartOOn/Cartoon Network Is King Of Another Cartoon Networks Ever💛💛💛💛💛
Aside from Adult Swim and Toonami, Cartoon cartoon Fridays was the best block Cartoon Network ever made.
Watching the attack the block series and I love it! Great series man keep it up
I still think about that era and just how great it was for CN as a network.
Personally, I think Cartoon Network started to die around the time they started adding live-action shows.
Kitty Cat Sweetheart it is weird. I barely remember any of their live action shows. I only remember Dude What Eould Halpen, Destroy Build Destroy, Hole In The Wall, Hall of Game Awards, the no bullying propaganda, Inside Jimmy's Head (but I oddly don't remember the laughing soundtrack of that show) and that ghost hunting show that I don't understand how it got approved for kids.
Robert Johnson I thought the ghost hunting show was awesome and I wish that it lasted longer. :)
I loved the original show, where they have fun with the common “news” channel to show the next episodes, there was even a drawing for a winner to win a trip to Bora Bora.
My brain must have tried to completely delete that entire period of time where the idiots went "real people" dancing around on the set.
Same. I can't watch the post 2003 Fridays without massive cringe.
VXR, can you talk more about the 2003 Fridays block soon? And while your're at it, can you talk about the CN City era and Jim Samples?
I think the reasons why they ended the Cartoon Cartoon brand is because
1. Cartoon Network wanted to diversify its programming to action cartoons with Cartoon Network Studios making action cartoons like Samurai Jack and Megas XLR. And that the Cartoon Cartoon brand is normally associated to their less serious/more comedic shows
And 2. They wanted Fridays to permanently include Duck Dodgers and What's New Scooby Doo in the schedule but couldn't because they're not Cartoon Cartoons, they're Warner Bros cartoons
Edit: I loved the (just) Fridays era, too. Not as much, but still. I had the biggest crush on Tara and the other girl host, tho I barely even remember her name. And I loved the skits and celebrity appearances! And one good thing I'll say about Fried Dynamite is that I knew who Charlie from Lemonade Mouth was but everyone else did when he hosted that block!
I look forward to what was wrong with “Fridays” becuz i loved its friday night for CN, i mean i watched it regardless, but the human hosts made it better for me, i remember cartoon cartoon fridays too and enjoyed it thoroughly, but Fridays had an excellent balance of human and cartoons.
The humans would host Fridays and the rest of the time, between episodes/bumpers were cartoons out about about in the world or dope ass music videos like secret formula and Courahge
Now can you do: Fox Kids, Fox Box, CW4KIDS, CW4KIDS Toonzai & Vortexx? 10:39 Also I suppose you could say the variety in hosts that year wasn't to BAAAAAD (Yes I made that sheep pun on purpose) Also Kids WB is next. Ironic because Cartoon Network nowadays to me feels like Kids WB 2 because they show nothing but Teen Titans Go.
Kids and adults can/should love cartoons TOGETHER. It is adults that make this content, it is adults who will have to suffer the reruns with the child(ren.)
TTG insults and scolds the audience for demanding more than the lazy GARBAGE content.
But if there is anything we demand, it's HEART in our cartoons. It's so sad SU is given a trunk spot to the sloth that is TTG. And Disney XD is on the rise with shows like StarButterflyvs......
It's the closest thing to Compete with Toonami on Cartoon Network.
Listen, if you DO want to "attack Kids WB", you're better off making it a two-parter, or even a three-parter.
IdeaBox9000 It's definitely going to be a 20+ minute video
To those who enjoyed the Kids WB episode, and when it comes to its organization, you're welcome for this accidental prediction.
Please talk about Miguzi.
casketking00 Yeah!
Finally someone els remembers Miguzi
yes I loved Miguzi!
i loved it
+athemocracy will you eventually do a video about "You Are Here"? It was my favorite Friday night block and I'm sure it was for many others!
Cartoon Friday the best ever & do a video on Hanna Barbera athemocracy your videos are great. #HannaBarbera🙌
good video you be talk about fridays one day
Hey does anyone remember Friday night Nicktoons
When will you do ABC Kids and Kids WB?
14:56 Yes, about time he is going to an Attack The Block video on Kids WB.
I was there when Cartoon Network just got born, I just wished my parents shut the fuck up and leave me to enjoy it.
Ccf is Awesome
I wasn’t alive for this :(
ReviewAnythingExceptTech USA I was, but I was younger than five years old.
Me Too:(
This was the only era that succeeds besides 2010 - 2014
jetblast 1 so 2004-2009 wasn't good?
Robert Johnson it was alright, but with the live action. Plus way too many acquired cartoons, it was just, eh
jetblast 1 you must've forgot that the live action era did not come until 2007 or 2008 after the Out of Jimmy's Head movie in 2006.
It’s been 25 years..
Are you gonna do fried dynamite? It was another cartoon block
20 years
Could you do a video about all the Cartoon Network Movies that CN made?
I wish I could see this
Their seems to be a massive focus on the Eds this time around. Could this be a hint of a future video covering the show?
Yes!
Back when Cartoon Network was good. MORE THAN GOOD. Now it's pure shit and all the shows today look the same.
MetalSonic1993 But the hope for Cartoon Network in the future
Gabby Ada I'm not hoping for shit CN is fucking dead.
Well CN greenlit few new show that look promising
What other show looks like The Amazing World of Gumball?
tashaem1 besides that show.
You should do episodes for Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theatre, Master Control & Nicktoon Summer Beach House.
Caming up next kids WB here on Attack the block
The nostalgia
Did you do a video of Nickelodeon Friday night block? I saw a video of the theme a few months ago, and I really don't remember it at all. It was from 2003 and I don't remember when it ended. I guess my siblings and I were real die hard Cartoon Network fanatics. lol.
Haven't yet, but I'll think about it.
@@athemocracy OH EM GEE
I miss CCF, CCweekends and Kids WB!
Who remembers that Disney xd Disney channel thing they did on disney channel
[Insert over 9000 joke here]
You should do snick next
Have you done kewlopolis or jetix?
Do Fridays and toonami
Have you done Jetix yet
Like
Can you talk about the 90s are all that
3:32 I think we all know what he did. :/
FYI Brandon Dillard stote those videos from me.
Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was such a success to the point where I feel like Cartoon Network is now trying to do something kinda like that. But not an a way that is interesting to any of the CN fans. Because one, they still air countless marathons of Teen Titans Go, two, the shows that they air on the network are all generic and feel the same, and three, the bumpers that they have for the new Friday block are just terrible and boring. Cause back when Cartoon Network was all about originality, they had bumpers that were really interesting to see. Now a days it's nothing but just neyon colored short cartoon slides and lame promos.
Scott Venture yeah their promos are devoid of creativity right now. Before Christina Miller was the president their bumpers were creative. Maybe it is not because of her, or maybe it is.
That whole Friday night marathon crap they had going on back in January of this year, was nothing but a ripoff of Cartoon Friday's. And should've never existed.
They just don't make cartoons like they used to. But I'm no nostalgiatard
Kids wb
Do Fox Kids Kids Wb Fox Box 4kids TV cw4kids Toonzai And finally Vortez on the cw In 1 Giant Episode
I highly doubt he will make an giant episode compiling all those blocks in one video, the video would be for an entire hour.
@@BricksTVArchives or in separate parts
1996 tv 🥰🥰🥰🥰🤔🤔🤯🤯🤗🤗😭😭😭 📺📺📺📺 lost
It's cool to tell the history of the channel but u seem at times stuck in the past and want to fix Cartoon Network by playing their old original programming and not talk about getting new shows that are actually good in quality it's fine to like the older show I like them also but don't let nostalgia cloud your judgement on how to fix the network cause boomerang is showing 5 of the older shows from 11:00 pm-4:00 am everyday
My content lately does seem pessimistic toward modern CN, however, I'm working on a video that presents the opposite.
Attack the Block focuses on the history and the present. Plus, I did make a "Future of CN" video that is pretty optimistic.
I completely hate Cartoon Network now it has been garbage since 2017 they keep ending all their good shows and replacing them with trash CN has lost the creativity and quality that made it an icon.
