Of the 5 windows10 keys I've brought 'for cheap', 3 have died and won't authenticate upon an OS reinstall months/years down the line. In each case the companies "guaranteed" the keys for life, but when I tried to contact them after the keys died the websites etc were dead - in each case these companies had been recommended by 'big' youtubers :-(

I bought my windows 7 pro key 4 years ago for $4, still works.
I think ebay, or microsoft, is cracking down on ebay sellers specifically. A lot of other shops still sell cheap windows 10 keys. Cheapest I've seen is probably like $7.
That said, $15 is not an unreasonable price for a key that, presumably, fell off a truck somewhere.

The CD key I bought from that 1 website you recommended years ago for a permanent 1-time use key has been giving me issues these past few years. MS Word has been slowly trying to lock me out on Win 10; it has been telling me to log in and all this other bs, even when I am logged in it wants (another) key. I have finally been locked out of my Fing MS Word/Office because Bill Gates -_-

I've had the same laptop no issues or sent in to the factory for repairs since I input the original key emailed to me.
I think it was an OEM 1-time use key, or something.
I know now probably isn't a good time to ask you to replace it, you probably have medical bills but the sooner you can the better because I have zero MS Office-related software right now.

@@basshead. what's ewwww about it? Most games actually run similar if not better, the OS non game wise is far superior as no tracking and background processes.

@@basshead. I've been using Linux for decades and gaming was always a non starter, then it was kinda playable for a few titles. Now I can get a large portion playable and some games actually work better now. So keep watching that 1%, as its going to grow, I know I ain't buying another game that doesn't work in Linux from this point forward.
