A very mysterious story. Mixing mythologies of the middle east and south America, with the concept of a parallel Earth (used a time or two on STAR TREK).
It's pretty close. Also, the cave they escape into - the one that looks like a skull - reminds me of HR Gigers design for the Harkonnen fortress, that was sort of recycled into the temple from PROMETHEUS
This episode really be touching on the Anunnaki whole backstory regarding their involvement with Earth, notice how Hollywood have NEVER made a movie about the Anunnaki, if they are purely a "myth", why they never make loads of films about them like they've done Werewolves, Zombies, Dracula etc. The name is never even mentioned too, in any Hollywood film, that's suspicious.
I think it was episode 12 or 13 when Ulysses had his memory of needing to get back to earth wiped away by one of the gods. Since then none of them have mentioned getting back to Earth, yet in this episode Ulysses said they were trying to get back to Earth, Earth from their time. What’s going on? 🤔🧐
Maan oh man. I can see the Pentacostal/Born Again/The Bible is 100% fact people gettin SERIOUSLY pissed off with this bible apocrypha/Greek mythology mashup. SO glad this studio had the guts to go there. I know no one will make an anime like this or an RPG like Xenogears ever again in today's Cancel Culture.
