Great advice btw
this video would be great with chapters/sections/timestamps
I smoked weed mixed with tobacco heavily day in day out for 15 years. I stopped cold turkey one month ago and I had amped myself up to expect bad withdrawals. The only thing I experienced was hot flushes and cold sweats and weird nightmares lol My appetite came back, I’ve saved money, my anxiety disappeared .This is only one month in I can only imagine the positive changes in the next coming months. For anybody reading this that is struggling to quit trust me,if I can do it ( I literally would smoke 10-15 joints a day sometimes more) you definitely can. Don’t give up.
thanks g
If only it were that simple! The obvious answer to your post is: I am not you.
@@PaulLennon-zt9wi that’s a defeated mindset my guy. I smoked weed every day for 14 years and I’m 3 days with no smoke. Yeah it’s 1am and I got work in the morning so sleeps still a bit shit but even 3 days in my head is quieter and family have said they can already see spark back in my eyes.
If you want change it all starts with that first step bro 👊🏾
Congrats!
@@PkPerry15Once again - I am not you. It is a mistake to assume that if one human can do something then any another human can do it. And how can someone who knows literally NOTHING about me express an opinion about what I can do? It seems that everyone is an expert!
Now the challenge is to watch a 1h30 video on how to quit weed without smoking weed

Here I am getting motivated while smoking Mary Jane… but I’m VERY close to smoke my last one, I’m 15min into the video

Hey man im 27 smoked way mire than you. If i can oull of quitting and slowly enduring the whitdrawals and everytbing else comes with it. Heres a comment you guys are not alone were all in this. You have to be super intentional and say NO MORE. And yes you gotta endure a bit.
Microbio major here. Marijuana is not bad for you in a moderation amount in fact it’s good for your mental health if you not abusing it. This miss information about thc is really mind boggling when you have all the resources to see what this magical plant can do for people who have MS or cancer.
If you’re a biology student you should know your body is always trying to maintain homeostasis and thc/cbd encourage homeostasis.
I need to quit cannabis. It’s ruining my life I’ve been a daily consumer for 13+ years. I’ve been so unmotivated and lazy. I read all the comments and it is inspiring but it feels so overwhelming. I use it to suppress emotions. Thanks to all who have shared their success, it helps me to give this a go 🙏❤️
I’m quitting now. Just a one month trial. Been a long term smoker for a while. I’ll see how I feel after a month and go from there. It’s best to set a date and time to see if you want it back or not.

@@NealRiggers1978 I did about two weeks before I started hitting the vape pen lol
Who are you people? Weed is not physically addictive. If you want to quit you can just stop. I smoked for 15 years daily and just stopped when I met my wife. No withdrawal. She didn’t care either way. I just finally out grew it. Just started again recently. Just because I want to.
@@strangetwang4087 everyone's not the same. Weed kills your dopamine levels if you abuse it.
I smoked from 16 to 24 like crazy. In these 8 years I smoked at least 3 grams a day. A grower friend of mine who grew for dispensaries gave me a pound of weed once and I smoked it in 6 weeks. When I wanted to stop I thought I was the biggest addict of all and I thought it’s gonna be hell. Some of these videos made me even more sure of it. But when I actually did it, it was so much easier than I thought! Don’t tell yourself it’s gonna be impossible. The most important part is that you want it. Keep the positive things about it in mind and stay strong in hard times. If I was able to do it, you can too💪🏽
What made you quit
Broo, same. I started smoking weed at like 17 and now im 23, super addicted to thc, cant even eat or get a boner without smoking weed first. This shit is terrible, its time to stop!
@@kylenakamura4959what made me quit was 1. It got expensive 2. Scurrying away to the dispo when I was out 3. I want to work and they require drug testing 4. brain fog and mental sharpness 5. I feel like I don't need it and want to change my situation for the better. Family is motivation aswell as the possibility of a better healthy future for myself. Started smoking weed 12 - 16, 20-24
Congratulations, but it is just not true that if you can do it so can everyone else.
Wow, incredible. 1 lb in 6weeks. That's a record
Day 11 no weed, no caffeine. I rarely drink alcohol, maybe a beer with tacos once every 2-3 weeks, a glass of wine maybe once a month if even... so not too worried about that. Not my main issue that was destroying my life. I was a daily weed smoker for 15 years, when my husband died 2.5 years ago, I just went off the rails, I was smoking at 7:30am, constantly stoned. I don't regret it to be honest, it helped me cope with everything in my life, but I knew I was abusing it and just did not want to do anything about it.
It was tough as hell the first week, but here I am... there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope this anxiety and worry about not having money/not knowing to take care of my son will slowly go away. I also hope I start to feel better and more positive. I feel overwhelmed and "blah", but I am determined to get my life back. How, I have no idea, but I trust that the journey will eventually show the way. Excellent video, you are absolutely helping me get through this, I am so grateful to you.
🥲 I applaud you Joanne. Thanks for the share

I did relapse on weed as I was moving home but back to 5 days without weed and I’ve honestly lost count of how many days nicotine free but it’s definitely over a month haha
I am very happy that you've made a good progress.
I've been smoking week since 3 years now and I've made a decision to quit the substance.
I am very curious to know how's your battle going on and please give me some tips so that I don't get relapsed again.
I started smoking weed since my teenage. Got addicted to Crack for over 23 years. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without crack, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.
I have heard alot of good about this mushrooms and psychedelics. Really want to try them for Anxiety. Just very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes Dr.alishrooms
I'm really happy for you that your wife decided to help you...I hear about alot of family members or so called friends shutting an addict out of their life, which since most addicts do it to mask emotions to me is the worse thing someone can do to an addict.

I just found your channel. 40yr old been smoking 16yrs. I honestly love weed and don't want to quit but it's messing with my brain (weird adverse feelings of shuttering) and i don't get high anymore, just a crummy stoned. I'm 2 days sober and and hoping this time works with the advise of this channel.
I'm on day 28 of cold turkey no weed no cigarettes no drinking so far these videos have been true and helped me tremendously I'm grateful although I'm still having withdrawals I'm still going strong I just can't wait to feel normal again my anxiety still bothers me my appetite is back I get sleep at night no cravings but this anxiety is with worse and these dreams are bananas.

Over a month sober. Your videos helped me tremendously. Don't stop.
Smoking for 7 years, addicted for 4. I quit for 3 months a year ago and was finally free of cravings and was enjoying things again. Decided to smoke once and had a very intense experience where I realized I didn't need it and that it wasn't supposed to be something you do every day. I didn't listen though and went back. Now I'm back trying to quit again. At this point none of my friends smoke and I barely enjoy it anymore, it's just a numbing thing.
Y can do this!
Yeah think like you’re not losing anything by quitting marijuana, rather you’re gaining a lot of things. You are in control.
You don’t need that “high” anymore. You can be happy, calm, content and most importantly free of anxiety!! Isn’t that good enough?

12 days and going strong. Nightmares are crazy, surprisingly no night sweats. I’m able to sleep well overall because of all the exercise I’ve been doing to stay busy. I started at 16 and became a chronic smoker from the get go. I am now 29 and have "successfully" smoked for almost 15years now. The tension in my back muscles from cannabis induced anxiety and paranoia is insufferable. Living in a country where it is illegal only furthers those since we literally have to resort to thugs in order to get it. I feel so fed up and tired of lying to myself and pretending it is a harmless drug that I decided to finally quit. I have been off of it for about 10 days now and I already feel better just because of the plight of the withdrawal effects because I know that the bliss is waiting for me after I get rid of it all out of my system.
Well done brah, late fifties and took me 35yrs to finally walk away. It's so worth it, stay with it, congratulations.

You are a godsend. What an amazing resource for people struggling with weed addiction. Many people believe weed is not addictive, and that may be truefor some. But I think your content touches on the root cause of any addictive behavior. Trauma, neglect, and abuse contribute to addictions. For me, I am becoming more aware of my tendency towards feeling sad, regretful and worthless. Theses substances and behaviors help us feel better in the short run, but don't address the real reasons for our sadness, nor do they promote understanding yourself.

It's So Crazy That My Asthma Is The Worst It's Ever Been This Year, Yet I Can't Keep My Mouth Off The Vape. I Honestly Think It's Going To Be A Lot Harder Than Quitting Weed, Even Though I Haven't Been Doing It Nearly As Long!
Thank you so much for putting this out there. You are so passionate about this and I needed this!
Thank you for offering this for free. Had I come prior to when it wasn't, I would blame my bad luck and go smoke again. So, thank you, I appreciate you.
Thank you for this, I have finally realised that being sober is the way I need to be to finally feel myself and give my life a chance. I am only 3 minutes in but I have high hopes
12 days already, how u doing?
I want to quit because I want to be more aware of my safety, respect myself, take care of my health, improves my mood , better financially, I will make better decisions, prioritize the right things and manage my time much better. Have better energy and focus.
I consume because I want to feel good, get bored and have a hard time having a fun. It makes it easier for me to have fun and socialize. I also like that I feel more in tune with sensations in my body.
Thank you very much for putting out these videos. They are extremely helpful in my process of quitting.
So blessed to have found this channel 🙏🏽
Holy s*it I havent even watched part 2 and 3 and this seminar sank so deep inside of my brain I gained the necessary determination to decide to fully quit 2 days ago. I know this first week will probably be the hardest but if you think quitting as a challenge, with the mindset you talk about in this video... man I'm so excited! THANK YOU FRANK!! I NEED BIGGER CAPSLOCK TO THANK YOU ENOUGH
How’s it going now?
Well well well, I am officially 24 hours without weed and about 4 days without nicotine! Feeling good today but it could all be different tomorrow, but I will not falter. Time to stop making excuses. Even after all the relapses I’ve had. I will keep fighting the battle til I win. Thanks Dr. Frank.
As someone who has struggled lifelong with various addictions, I appreciate your approach. I also dislike being labelled as "an alcoholic" or thinking that I am defective in character or that I need to spend the rest of my life attending meetings talking about drinking. Drinking isn't that great that it needs to be constantly relived. It's like, get a life and move on. I know it's a valuable social network, but it's also very cult like and there are a lot of toxic people there who don't actually grow. I have also met some great ones, but it's hard in early recovery to tell the difference when people are vulnerable. Good food, water, rest, exercise and an active life are the only "cure".
I’m quitting weed for good this time. I have been smoking every day for about 12 years. 3 years ago I quit for about 5 months and thought “Now I can use it in moderation” smoked once and fell back into the same habit. Now I know, never again.
Thank you for this amazing content you are putting out. I’ve been clean 7 years from hard drugs and as of now I’m just hitting hour 25 off weed. It’s been great being able to see the basic timelines. I’m writing this before watching this particular video but excited to watch it.
hope you've stayed strong! im on day 1! 🎉
Nearly 48 hours in after daily smoking blunts..I've realized how trapped I've become. The goodnews is..I will do this
Motivation is temporary, it's DRIVE that we all need because we only do the things we're motivated to do, if we're driven then we're going to get it done or get rid of it by any means necessary. I will be coming back to this video and part 2.
bro said exactly what i needed to hear. on my journey now, no more excuses!
I quit weed and alcohol when my son was born a little over 4 months ago. I was a weed smoker for roughly 13 years, and a drinker on and off for almost 16. And after 4 months I'm still a mess. The first two months were pure hell. Couldn't sleep, didn't want to eat unless it was junk. But I still had to act calm and be there for my son. My body and brain have developed around these things, but my son deserves a sober me. It's been like coming back into the world as my son comes into the world for the first time. I just keep telling myself that it takes time because it's been a part of my life for so long. I'm glad your channel exists. It does help.
57:00 - 1:05:00 was so key for me in understanding why my withdrawal has been so difficult
My mood, my energy, my stability everything is out of whack.
Thank you
Thank you for what your doing, iv been smoking since I was 12, I'm 30 now.. I wanna stop and today is my second day!
Let’s Go! I’m with you! I’m 27 and been smoking daily for past 3 years. I completed Day 1 and I’m very very motivated to quit weed forever!
It helps when you have someone to motivate you. You can text your progress with quitting weed here. I will too! That helps.
Let’s get it out of our life!😃
Why I smoke weed?
1.Boredom-but this causes Isolation-feeling alone
2.Just because: needs discipline
3. Relaxes me: so nicely BUT that it stops me in all my motivation to get things done.
Therefore yes addiction is a vicious circle until I decide no more!
It’s a choice I am about to make because me too, am sick and tired to keep lying to myself.
I am ready for the challenge. These videos are just the best!
Thank you for this!
your videos really help
Thanks! That’s the goal
My friend has a hard time understanding that I can’t just smoke on the weekends. I’ve tried it before and it puts me in the same place lol
Ty for this, I'm sober curious and your videos are definitely helping me. Just binged this and part 2
This is good work man much appreciated content❤
Just want to say this for everyone because I feel like everyone feels this: I feel like I used to be a lot smarter like just in general, ever since I started smoking it’s just been downhill. Especially my weight because if you have a fast motabolism and smoke weed mannnnnn quitting is so hard. First I am currently 22 been smoking since I was 18 and I now with my tolerance I have to smoke like have a cart just to get hungry. I was 135 pounds and I’m 5’9 now I’m currently trying to quit I’m on day 1 but here’s the thing over the past 4 years I’ve lost 20 pounds just because of weed. No progress in the gym, lost motivation for it because I just couldn’t get meals in. But if I have to become a twig to reheal myself then I’ll do it. Because addiction really sucks man. Should’ve listened to my parents when they said don’t do drugs for real….
Yes...so man up. Be strong 💪 No chains...nothing owns you...your in control...remember that
U got this bro
I hope you’re still going STRONG!!
Great video. I quit weed for about 7 months at the end of last year/start of this year but fell back into it with work stress. It didn’t get as out of control as before, but I’m 3 weeks into quitting again. So much of what you said is true. Also this video made me think of the song One Thing At A Time by Morgan Wallen 😂
This is pure gold! Thank you so much!
Dr. FRANK...YOUR FABULOUS....KEEPING IT REAL....
Respect thank you
Thank you for being part of the community here! This is what makes it possible.
I just wanted to say that I appreciate the work you're doing Dr. Frank. I've been an active user for the last 7 years or so, and I've only had one successful period of time without using (with help from your vids). I'm trying again for hopefully the last time now and your videos have been beyond helpful in helping me view quitting in a positive light. Thank you!!
Sound just like me. Been smoking for the same time and had a full 7 days weed free a few months ago. Had my best friend and only friend of 12 years die. My dog. And I have been in such a rut. It hurts so much. I just want to numb everything. But that's pointless. It won't help me In the end. I need to focus on improving myself. We are stronger than we think. We got this.
Anytime! I got two more videos to complete this series. I am hoping to drop them this week!
@@DrewMoore-eb7icyou are 100% stronger than you think. I am sorry to hear that news, but as you know smoking won’t change it, only worsens it. Props on 7 days
@@AddictionMindsetYour channel is golden ! Trying to quit weed after 9 months of smoking. I made a decision and today is my first day. And you dropping this videos and oh my good it’s kinda sign for me !! I will watch it tomorrow and hope it will help me to go through this 💪🏻 You also was one of the reason who made me think that I really need to quit. At least non-stop smoking like I did.

This is the Best addiction channel on the Internet. period

@@DavidCarmonaUXhow’s it going? day one here
@indexoptions this is day one for me as well. Daily smoker (1 - 2 grams nightly) for the past 10 years. I quit for 3 months last year but the insomnia was hard for me so I caved and got sucked back into it
Keep going bro!
I've smoked since I was 15yrs. I'm 55 now and I'm just done. I want out from under the thumb of any substance. I'm gonna fight hard for this and win this time.
I've set down cocain, alcohol, cigarettes(29years ago) and everything else... this weed will be next!
I'm SO THANKFUL I found your videos. Everything you're saying makes perfect sense. I'm a new subscriber now. 🙏💪
Great video Dr. Frank!!!! I was 9 days into quitting weed last Winter and I wanted to continue my sobriety but I had a job opportunity that slipped through my cracks and I used it as an excuse to smoke again. Now I'm 2 days sober and ready to try again.
Day 3, I been listening to you for about a month and I appreciate you so much. I am 38 and I been smoking 6-7 blunts a day for 20 years. Thank you for setting free. And I REALLY appreciate your tone in this video. I felt like it was a supportive friend scolding me telling me to stop playing around and love yourself so you can be happy. Thank you
